Why Betgrouse? Why indeed!  Maybe they’re hoping to attract super rich players who googled something to do with that rich man’s pursuit, grouse shooting?  The site logo is a bird, but it looks much more like a bird of prey than a grouse.  In any case, the theming doesn’t go beyond the name and logo so once you’ve started to place bets or play a game, it’s largely irrelevant.  The only real difference you’ll see between Betgrouse and many other Aspire Global sites is that it’s “dark mode” with a charcoal coloured background as opposed to “light mode”.

Betgrouse has two main lobby areas, Sport and Casino, and it’s super easy to switch between them.  There’s thousands of sporting events (including esports) to bet on in the Sport part of the site; you can choose to see all events or just the one within 24 hours, 3 days or a week and there’s also an in-play section and a bet builder.  Odds can be displayed as Decimal, Fractional or American.

The Casino part of the site categorises games into Featured, New, Slots, Jackpots, Drops & Wins and All Games and yes, this does mean there is no area for live casino games.  Betgrouse does have some, though, and you can find them fairly easily by using the search box – “blackjack”, for example will show you all the blackjack games and “evolution” will show you everything by Evolution Gaming including Crazy Time, Mega Ball and other game shows.  As for what’s in the other lobby categories, that’s pretty self explanatory, and if you’re looking to play the most popular games you may never need to look beyond the Featured Games.  It’s also very helpful to have a lobby area for Drops & Wins games for those who like to participate in this long running Pragmatic Play promotion.

The Jackpots area in the Aspire lobby is much improved from what it used to be thanks to the arrival in 2023 of Mega Moolah and WowPot progressive jackpot games and the addition of more games to Aspire’s instance of the Jackpot King progressive by Blueprint; there’s now plenty of choice with around 50 games to choose from connected to these and other progressive jackpots.

There’s one other way to find games which you may not spot at first, and that is to open the “Games list” link which you’ll find in the site footer under “Information”.  You can view all the games in alphabetical order or classified by the provider, but there’s no game tiles or further information, only the name of the game, the provider and a play button.

Apart from the welcome offer (offers, actually – there’s one for sports that can be taken instead of the casino offer) promotions at Betgrouse are all run in conjunction with game providers, including time limited leaderboards as well as the previously mentioned Drops & Wins.  Some were up and running when we visited which is always a good sign with a brand new site.

Player who prefer to use deposit methods other than a debit card will be delighted to see that in common with other Aspire Global sites, Betgrouse has lots of available deposit methods and none of them are excluded from claiming deposit offers (although you’ll be restricted to a smaller than normal stake size if you deposit with Skrill or Neteller). Indeed, this is one of the main strengths of the Aspire platform.

A perfectly decent Aspire site, then, with an OK if not spectacular welcome offer, best suited to players who just want to play popular slot games and aren’t bothered about live casino games not having their own lobby area.
