Jackpot City Casino

About Jackpot City Casino

Although relatively new to the UK, Jackpot City Casino is very well known internationally and has entertained millions of players in Canada and many other geos since 1998.  Now, a version that’s just for UK players has been created.  It’s managed by Betway (who also manage their own online casino and a number of others including the Hippodrome online) under their UK licence, which they have held since 2014.  Betway are part of Super Group, whose flagship offices are in Camden Town (I’ve actually visited them there). They have an excellent reputation for looking after their players (and incidentally their staff) and they also hold all customer funds in a fully segregated account gaining them a high protection rating in that area.  They use the slogan “Bet The Responsible Way” to encourage players to be mindful.

Getting Started At Jackpot City Casino

Opening an account is quick and easy but there are some points to be aware of

• In order to be able to claim the welcome offer, you will need to opt in during the process of filling in the registration form
• You then have 7 days to make the actual deposit and collect the slot bonus part of the offer
• You MUST use a debit card to make the deposit (and do check it is eligible as some of the more exotic issuing banks are excluded – there’s a list on site)
• You now have to play £20 on any slot game to collect the free spins.  To find and use the free spins, open the Gold Blitz or Jackpot City Gold Blitz slot game

Slot Games at Jackpot City Casino

Betway have a long standing association with Microgaming and it shows; when Jackpot City first launched in the UK most of the slot games were from Games Global (who own Microgaming’s online games portfolio and distribution business).  As well as Microgaming classics such as 9 Masks of Fire, Thunderstruck and several sequels, Deco Diamonds and many of the Amazing Link games, there were just a few non Microgaming classic titles like Bonanza, Rainbow Riches and Cleopatra plus a handful of slot games by Pragmatic Play ( just enough of them for Jackpot City to be able to participate in the Drops & Wins promotion).

Over the last couple of years, Super Group have been busily onboarding more game providers, and the range of games at Jackpot City is now much wider.  As well as adding many more games from Pragmatic Play, they now have lots of games from Playtech (Buffalo Blitz 2, The Racaroon 2), Blueprint (lots of Kong and Fishin’ Frenzy games), Elk (Wild Toro and Pirots games) and several others.  So although the bulk of the games library is still Games Global, there’s plenty of other popular games available to play here.

The progressive jackpots remain all courtesy of Games Global.  As you’d expect from a casino that specialises in these games, there’s Mega Moolah and WowPots.  And there’s also two others you may not have come across before – King Millions (which debuted in 2023) and “Lotsa Loot” jackpot versions of games such as 12 Masks of Fire Drums, Thunderstruck Storm Blitz and Gold Blitz. Lots to choose from then!

If you don’t see a game you want to play in any of the lobby sections, there’s a lightning quick search box which shows all matching results from everywhere on site once you’ve put in three characters.

Other Games at Jackpot City Casino

Going beyond slots, Jackpot City Casino also has more than 50 Slingo titles, a couple of crash games and several scratchcards.

The Live Casino section has roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker and game shows from five different providers – Evolution, Pragmatic Play, On Air, Inspired and Playtech. That’s one of the widest selections anywhere.

Other Things To Consider

The casino works equally well across all devices.  On a mobile phone, the game tiles are arranged in two columns; some lobby areas are initially offscreen but can easily be brought into view by swiping. The only other real difference between mobile and desktp versions of the lobby is that on a phone, the game search box and link to the promotions page are on a sticky bar at the bottom of the screen instead of at the top.

Speaking of promotions, as well as a number of leaderboards and other promotions run in conjunction with Pragmatic Play and Games Global, Jackpot City has further promotions which are only visible after login. There’s also a weekly player rewards scheme which you can opt into.

The range of payment methods is less impressive and although they accept Paypal, you can’t use it to claim the welcome offer – that’s strictly debit card only and not even all of those.

Customer support is hosted on a whole separate website.  There’s an extensive FAQ split into 11 different topical areas.  If the FAQ doesn’t answer your query, you can contact them via Live Chat; the chat bubble appears as soon as you answer No to  “did this answer your question?” at the bottom of an item in the FAQ (you don’t need to be logged in, which is crucial should you have a problem with logging in). The form to initiate a chat also encourages you to search the help documentation for an answer before contacting them.

Final Thoughts

Jackpot City Casino repesents a refreshing change from most UK facing casinos, especially if you are a fan of Games Global games or would like to sample some unusual live casino games.  It also helps that it’s backed by Betway, whose excellent reputation speaks for itself. And then there’s that tasty welcome offer.
