  • Play Kingdoms Rise: Scorching Clouds at Buzz Bingo
Kingdoms Rise Slots: Deposit & Play £20, Get 110 Wager Free Spins

Kingdoms Rise: Scorching Clouds is the latest release in Playtech’s Kingdoms Rise series of fantasy themed progressive jackpot slots, which are all connected via a shop where tokens collected through play can be exchanged for bonus rounds.

One of the great things about the Kingdoms Rise slots is that they are all quite different from each other (in theming and in gameplay) and Scorching Clouds is no exception.  Played on a 5×5 grid with a cascading game mechanic, wins are scored by collecting groups of 4 or more of the same symbol, horizontally or vertically adjacent to each other.  Scorching Clouds has three bonus features – a respins feature and a choice of two free spin bonus rounds – and all of these can also be purchased in the shop using tokens collected from playing Scorching Clouds itself or any of the other Kingdoms Rise games.

Kingdoms Rise: Scorching Clouds can be played from 10p a spin and has RTP of 97.06% (including the jackpot contribution and the shop tokens).

    * 18+ First depositors only. Deposit & Stake £20 on any Kingdoms Rise slot game: Get 110 Bonus Spins on any Kingdoms Rise slots at 10p (10 lines x 1p) per spin. • Play Sausage Party at Lucky VIP Casino
    Deposit £10 - £100, Get 150% Slot Bonus

Sausage Party by Blueprint is a tie-in with the decidedly X-rated animated film from 2016.  Played on a classic 5 x 3 reels array with 20 paylines, it is very much in the mould of that earlier slot based on an adult themed animation, TED.

Sausage Party has a plethora of bonus features.  There’s 6 different modifiers that can be triggered randomly on any spin in the base game, and 6 versions of the bonus round; when three or more bonus symbols are spun a giant spinner determines which version of the bonus round is played and there’s an option to gamble to get a better version, all the way up to the most lucrative one, The Even Greater Beyond.  All of this will be very familiar to anyone who’s played TED or other Blueprint games such as Paws of Fury.  With all of these bonus features it comes as no surprise that wins in the base game are a bit thin on the ground but never fear, there’s an additional bonus feature not mentioned in the paytable that randomly turns a loss into a win.

Sausage Party has RTP of 95.95% and can be played from 10p a spin.

    * Min. 1st dep. of £10-£100. Max bonus £150 on selected slots; 25x wagering on the sum of deposit & bonus applies. Max convertible to real is £500. T&C's Apply.

  • Play Vegas Golden Ticket at Buzz Bingo
Kingdoms Rise Slots: Deposit & Play £20, Get 110 Wager Free Spins

Vegas Golden Ticket by Mutuel Play is a slots meets bingo game launched exclusively at Buzz Bingo.  It’s a 20 line slot game combined with a “Golden Ticket” that’s basically a 75 ball bingo ticket.  On every spin, 30 bingo balls are released into the area above the reels and  1, 2 or 3 extra balls are released for each bingo ball symbol (if any) that landed on the reels.  The Golden Ticket is daubed accordingly and any wins awarded in addition to the wins from the slot machine itself.  Wins from the Golden Ticket range from 1x stake for a line or column, via 10 different patterns ranging from 2x stake to 200x stake, up to 1000x stake for a coverall.

Vegas Golden Ticket has a free spins bonus round of 8, 12 or 16 free spins depending on the number of scatters that triggered it.  During the free spins the initial number of balls released is boosted to 35 and there’s also an increased chance of bingo ball symbols landing on the reels, making the better paying patterns on the Golden Ticket more attainable.

Vegas Golden Ticket has RTP of 95.96% and can be played from 20p a spin.

    * 18+ First depositors only. Deposit & Stake £20 on any Kingdoms Rise slot game: Get 110 Bonus Spins on any Kingdoms Rise slots at 10p (10 lines x 1p) per spin. Jackpot cannot be won when using free spins. Customers will also be eligible for existing standard sign up bonuses if they stake an additional £10 on Bingo, see T&Cs for details. T&Cs apply. • Play Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah at Crystal Slots
Deposit £10+, Crack The Crystal - Top Prize 500 Slot Spins

Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah by Neon Valley Studios for Microgaming is a new for 2020 slot game connected to the legendary Mega Moolah jackpot, which is seeded at £1 million and usually pays out much more.  The new game has a conventional 5 x 3 reels arrangement and just 10 paylines, which pay both ways as in that other 10 line slot Starburst.

The similarity to Starburst doesn’t end there, as Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah has another very familiar feature – expanding wilds (represented by pink haired mermaids) on reels 2, 3 and 4 which lock for a respin.  There’s no bonus round, and the only other feature is the progressive trigger symbol; when any of these appear on the reels they are collected in the shell at the side of the play area.  The more you collect, the better your chance that the Mega Moolah bonus game will be triggered offering the opportunity to play for one of the four jackpots (your chance also increases with stake size).

Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah has RTP of 86.78% (the reason it’s so low is that the jackpot contribution is a substantial 5.3%) and can be played from 10p a spin.

    * New players only, min deposit £10, £8 max win per 10 spins, max bonus conversion £250, 65x wagering requirements and full T&Cs apply

  • Play Brazil Bomba at PlayOJO
1 Slot Spin for every £1 deposited (maximum 50 spins) No Wagering Requirements!

Brazil Bomba is a new slot from Yggdrasil featuring a 6 x 8 layout. Inspired by the Rio Carnival, its colourful night-time beach theme is fronted up by a feathered carnival dancer girl wielding some sort of gun. This she fires during the multiplier round.

Despite the smooth, well-rendered theme, reel decoration is pretty basic. Blue, purple, red, green, yellow and pink diamonds constitute the base value symbols – land 48 of them across the reels and you’ll be rewarded with 100 times your stake (good luck with that).

The multi-coloured drums are of a higher value with the red drum paying out as much as 1000 times your stake. Because of the cluster pays mechanic, winning combos can be created by landing at least six matching symbols in clusters.

Should this occur, the Dropdown Wins feature is activated with all paying symbols replaced by new ones which fall into the vacated reel positions. The bomb feature sees our feathered dancer shoot flames onto the reels, exploding all positions in a star formation – this can clear as many as 16 reel places enabling more symbols to land in winning combinations.

If you manage to get a dropdown or unlock the bomb animation, an incremental multiplier is also applied. In addition, look out for the free spins symbols. These can pay out as many as 20 extra spins – the free spins scatter remains in play here so it’s actually possible to collect up to 40.

    Minimum stake: 0.10, RTP 96.30%

    * New Customer Offer. T&Cs Apply. 18+. Please Gamble Responsibly.

  • Play Micro Knights at Kassu
    Deposit £10+, Get 100% Slot Bonus (up to £300) & 300 Spins

Micro Knights by ELK is played on a 7×7 grid.  It has no paylines; instead, the aim is to score clusters of 5 or more of the same symbol.  That’s not all there is to this rather complex game though – collect enough cascading wins from the same spin to fill the bonus meter at the side and you’ll ring the Flag Release bell, triggering the first in a series of six different Feature Flags for the chance to collect more wins, fill the bonus meter again and trigger further flags in the series.  Micro Knights also has the Queue feature whereby a row of symbols is removed from the grid, to be added to symbols already on the grid to form or increase the size of clusters.  The later flags in the Feature Flags series enhance the queue and can cause a runaway cascade of wins.

Micro Knights also has a Free Drops bonus round triggered by the appearance of three bonus symbols.  During the bonus round, the queue and the bonus meter don’t reset between drops so despite being only 5 rounds it can be very exciting indeed.

Micro Knights has RTP of 96.0% and can be played from 20p a spin.  The spin value can be automatically adjusted if desired by using one of 4 pre-configured betting strategies.

  • Play Mysterious at UK Online Slots
Deposit £10+, Open The Loot Chest - Top Prize 500 Slot Spins

Mysterious is a feature-laden 4 x 4 slot from Pragmatic Play with 256 pay-lines. Comprising a haunted Victorian theme, the game has three random spin modifiers and two free spin features. Gameplay is set against a cartoon rendering of a town with a creepy castle in the background.

Joining the usual set of low-value card symbols are four animal faces: a bull, lion, own and ram. The most lucrative symbol is the Mysterious logo and can pay out up to 25 times your stake. All you’ve got to do is land six of them in combination. Simple.

As mentioned there are three random spin modifiers: the lord, the lady and the baron. The Lord symbol is a wild that replaces all others (apart from other wilds and the free spins scatter) and can generate multipliers of x2 or x3. Should more than one appear, their values are multiplied. Lady Wilds can expand to unveil a mystery stacked symbol that can trigger additional winning combos.

The Baron replaces all symbols save for other wilds and free spin scatters, changing adjacent symbols into more wilds. In order to unlock the free spins bonus game, you’ll need to land three or four free spin symbols. Should four appear, you’ll be given 12 spins.

Once the bonus game is activated, the reels change to a 6 x 4 format. You’ll then be preseted with two options: locking multipliers and resurrecting roaming wilds. For the first option, a clock symbol appears which awards random multipliers of x3, x6, x9 or x12.

The latter option features wilds that fade away after each spin like a ghostly apparition. If another wild lands during the animation, roaming wilds appear for that spin in random positions.

    Minimum Play: 0.10, RTP: 96.5%

    * New players only, min deposit £10, £8 max win per 10 spins, max bonus conversion £250, 65x wagering requirement and full T&Cs apply

  • Play 5 Wishes at Tombola Arcade
    Deposit £10-£25, Get 200% Bonus

5 Wishes is a five reel slot from RTG with an Aladdin-esque theme that comprises two random progressive jackpots, a lucrative free spin feature and twenty five pay-lines. There’s certainly nothing new with regards to the subject matter. And the base game is fairly conventional too with all symbols paying left to right. Unsurprisingly, the reels are decorated with the kind of paraphernalia one might associate with the Arabian street urchin.

These include a magic lamp, a genie, a palace, Aladdin’s squeeze Princess Jasmine and uh…playing card lettering. Despite, what appears to be a rather humdrum format, there are a few elements that pique the interest. For instance, the lamp symbol which serves as the scatter, pays all ways.

Should three, four or five appear in any position across the reels they will generate 10, 20 or 100 free spins respectively – these can also be re-triggered. The scatter is represented by a Genie which only appears on reel one and substitutes all symbols.

However, when landed in combinations he can generate a 2x multiplier. In addition, he remains active during the free spins feature. Then you’ve got the two progressive jackpots that can be won by landing 5 wish symbols. Both are reasonably generous starting at £250 and £1000. But interestingly, the slot’s fixed pay-out offers better potential returns at 5000x your initial stake.

Minimum stake: 0.25, RTP: Currently not known

  • Play Gremlins at PlayOJO
1 Slot Spin for every £1 deposited (maximum 50 spins) No Wagering Requirements!

The classic 80s movie, Gremlins, is the inspiration for one of WMS’s latest online slots. Praise be. It’s a five-reeler with 20 pay-lines and a raft of bonus features. Billy’s bedroom serves as a backdrop for the colourful reels, decorated with the kind of imagery you might expect such as Gremlin eggs, 3D glasses and popcorn (the movie theatre scene) as well as a microwave (don’t ask).

The obligatory playing card lettering represents the lower value symbols. The more lucrative symbols include the Gremlin’s logo and the Gremlin character which is the wild. The former pays out 25 times your stake when it appears in combination. However, you’ll get double the amount should you land five of the latter on a pay-line.

Bolted on to the base game are four bonus features: Stripe Wilds, Bonus Entry, Freebie Bonus and the Bonus Selector. The Stripe wilds feature is activated when water is randomly poured onto the Gremlin symbol which spawns more wilds, thereby increasing your chances of winning.

The Freebie Bonus is triggered (on occasion) when one or two Gizmo symbols land across the reels. All bonus symbols can then multiply to activate the bonus selector – this can also be accessed via the Bonus Entry mechanic in which all gremlin wilds turn into Gizmo bonus features.

The Bonus selector side-game takes place in a movie theater and awards one of five bonus features: splashing wild free spins, gremlin link free spins, sun free spins, a Gizmo box hunt pick-and-click game and most notably, the ‘no more cash after midnight’ trail bonus round which offers a top prize of 100x your stake. And if you manage to fill the reels with Gremlin wilds, your stake will be multiplied 1000 times.

    RTP: 96.47%, 0.20 Minimum Stake

    * New Customer Offer. T&Cs Apply. 18+. Please Gamble Responsibly.

  • Play Kanpai Banzai at Betfair Casino
100% Slot Bonus Up To £200 + 100 Free Spins

Here’s to you Playtech for furnishing us with another five reel slot inspired by Far-Eastern culture. This one is named after a Japanese drinking salutation and offers 1024 different ways to win. Play is set against a sushi conveyor belt and the reels are suitably decorated with various vinegared delicacies from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Low value symbols are represented by playing card lettering while higher value symbols are signified by sushi dishes. Happily the Cascading Reels mechanic is included which has the potential to generate substantial wins – the trick is to land 10 or more continuous cascades. Thanks to the 2x multiplier that comes in to play you’ve got a chance to win as much as 10,240 x your stake, per spin.

The rice and tuna symbol is one of the most valuable in the game – should three, four or five turn up on the reels, you’ll receive one, two or five times your stake. The scatter, represented by a golden koi carp, offers multipliers of two, five and eight. Landing three of these triggers the Tasty Fish bonus game – here, you’ll be required to choose a portion of fish. Select wisely and you’ll be rewarded with a cash prize as well as the chance to try again. The game ends when a poison fish is chosen.

Getting winning combos is helped in a big way by the pot ‘wild’. Although it only appears on reels two and three (during the base game) it can substitute all other symbols, apart from the scatter. But it’s the Cascading Wilds feature that offers the best chance of winning serious money.

Kanpai Banzai comes with an RTP of 96.10% and a minimum stake requirement of 0.10

    * New customers in UK/Ire only. Min buy-in £20, max buy-in £200. 40x wagering requirement on Casino Promotional Balance. Game weighting applies. 100 free spins triggered after bonus used/wagering requirement completed. Full T&Cs apply.

  • Play Royal Mint at Slotsino
Deposit £10+, Get Up To 50 Bonus Spins

Royal Mint is a Megaways slot by the inventors of the whole Megaways genre, Big Time Gaming.  It has the often seen cascading wins mechanic and not one, but TWO extra horizontal reels (the only reels on which wilds can appear) taking the maximum number of Megaways to 117, 649.

The signature BTG bonus round of 12 free spins with an increasing multiplier is triggered by a very elusive 4 bonus symbols, but eventually it gets easier – every time you get a near miss by spinning up 3 bonus symbols you’ll collect a gold bar (these are stored in the vaults each sode of the reels.  At 40 gold bars, not only is an extra bonus symbol added per spin until the next bonus round trigger, but the bonus round itself is upgraded to the Heartstopper version with an increasing multiplier that starts at 2 and goes up by 2 with every reaction.

Royal Mint has RTP of 96.48% (no prizes for guessing how much of that is in the bonus round) and can be played from 20p a spin.

    * New Customers Only. 1st Deposit only. Min Deposit £10. Max 50 bonus spins on selected slots only. 2x conversion. 20x wagering.

  • Play Leprechaun’s Magic at PlayOJO
1 Slot Spin for every £1 deposited (maximum 50 spins) No Wagering Requirements!

Leprechaun Magic is a five reel slot with 10 pay-lines. Although it sports a theme that’s become more prolific than a pint of Guinness on St Patrick’s Day, there are a few elements that offer a hint of originality.

The core game follows a familiar format but includes expanding symbols that appear in both the base and bonus game – if you land a winning combination the symbols turn gold for the subsequent spin. If another gold symbol then appears, it expands to fill the entire reel(s) and a new pay-out calculation is made according to these ‘stacked’ symbols. There’s also a Magic Spins feature that’s triggered by landing at least three pots of gold in any position on a single spin.

You’ll then get the chance to spin a ‘Magic Wheel’ for up to 16 free spins. If you manage to activate the wheel with four or five pot of gold symbols, you’ll be granted another four or eight spins respectively. The free spins round is very similar to the base game. However, any winning symbols that are turned golden turn into expanding symbols and remain so for the duration of the round. So if you’re lucky enough to be presented with a high value symbol straight away, some generous pay-outs are quite possible.

    RTP: 95.03%, Minimum Stake: 0.20

  • Play Retro Rush at bgo
Win Up To 500 Spins (Twin Spin) On Your First Deposit (UK only)

Retro Rush is a five reel slot with 30 pay-lines that was released in January 2020 by Playtech. You might have assumed that the game was based on the clunky video slots of old – the name certainly suggests so. But it’s futuristic, neon-lit theme is firmly planted in the future and draws quite heavily from the famed Blade Runner movie. The reels are set against an onrushing (and hence quite nauseating) cyber city street.

All winning combinations activate the Sticky Wins mechanic, in which the symbols stick on the reels while the others re-spin. This continues until additional wins are no longer possible. However, Wilds can that land on the first, second and fourth re-spins, awarding 2x, 3x and 5x multipliers respectively. Retro Rush also includes a Free Games feature, triggered when the scatter (a takeaway box) appears on the second, third and fourth reels.

Five free spins are then immediately available and the reel extends to include six symbols as opposed to the usual three. This of course doubles the pay-lines to 60. Should you win, the Sticky Wins feature is once again activated and the wilds offer further multipliers if they appear on the first or second re-spins – they can also result in fully wild reels.

Retro Rush features a ok-ish 96.1% RTP and has a betting range of 0.15 to 300.

    * UK only. Win up to 500 Free Spins from Mega Wheel on 1st deposit. 24-hour expiry. Max bet £2.50, max spins win £8 per 10 spins, max Bonus win £150, selected games & 65x wagering on winnings. No Neteller/Skrill. Deposit/withdrawal fees apply. Full T&Cs apply

  • Play Icarus Wilds at Casimba
200% Slots Bonus & 50 Bonus Spins (Starburst)

We have ourselves yet another slot inspired by Greek mythology. They just keep coming, don’t they? Named after the famed Cretan with wax and feathered wings, this particular offering is a five-reeler of medium to high variance.

The titular hero represents a ‘flying wild’ symbol and flutters up the reels should he land on reels two to five – typically, he substitutes all symbols to form winning combinations. When at the top, his wings melt and he plummets off screen, presumably into the drink far below.

There are three types of wilds: nudging wilds which move up a row with each spin, a multiplier wild that applies multipliers of 2x, 3x and 4x and locked wilds – the latter is triggered if Icarus appears with a numbered padlock.

Then the wild symbol will lock in place for the number specified. A free spins bonus has also been included that’s activated when at least three gold coin scatter symbols appear. An extra row is then added to the game interface which offers up to 1024 ways to win. There is no fixed number of free spins. Instead, the bonus game continues while at least one symbol remains on the reels.

    RTP: 96.54%, Minimum Stake: 0.25

  • Play Age of the Gods Norse: King of Asgard at Betfair Casino
100% Slot Bonus Up To £200 + 100 Free Spins

Age of the Gods Norse: King of Asgard is a new for 2020 addition to the Age of the Gods progressive jackpot.  Having presumably run out of ideas to do with the Greek gods, Playtech (or rather their Ash Gaming subsidiary) have turned their attention to Norse mythology, starting with Odin, the King of Asgard.

Odin’s Fury Respins is the name of the special feature in this slot, which is played on a 6×4 array.  If an Odin Wild symbol stack lands fully on the reels it becomes a walking wild and respins continue until it reaches the left hand edge of the play area.  Loki Wilds which appear during respins push him back towards the right.  There’s a multiplier which increments on each respin and is applied to the final respin when Odin is on reel 1.

The progressive jackpot arrangements are not quite the same as the rest of the Age of the Gods games; the main progressive is networked but instead of the three smaller jackpots there are two, and these are operator configurable so will vary from site to site.

Age of the Gods Norse: King of Asgard has RTP of 96.67% (including the jackpot) and can be played from 20p a spin.

    * New customers in UK/Ire only. Min buy-in £20, max buy-in £200. 40x wagering requirement on Casino Promotional Balance. Game weighting applies. 100 free spins triggered after bonus used/wagering requirement completed. Full T&Cs apply.

  • Play Kingdoms Rise: Captain’s Treasure at Buzz Bingo
Kingdoms Rise Slots: Deposit & Play £20, Get 110 Wager Free Spins

Kingdoms Rise: Captain’s Treasure is the 5th slot game in Playtech’s Kingdoms Rise series of progressive jackpot slots.  It is a 50 line slot with a 6×4 reels arrangement and is themed on piracy on the high seas.

The slot has the Captain’s Treasure Respins feature, triggered when a Golden Wild lands anywhere on the reels.  It moves one space on each respin, leaving a trail of wilds behind it.  If you think this sounds familar, you’re right – it’s exactly the same feature as in Age of the Gods: Apollo Power, another 6×4 50 line slot by the same studio (Origins).  Captain’s Treasure is NOT a reskin of the AOTG slot though – the paytable is quite different and of course, there’s the collection of tokens which can be used in the Kingdoms Rise Shop to buy enhanced bonus rounds from any of the Kingdoms Rise games.

Kingdoms Rise: Captain’s Treasure has RTP of 96.05% including the jackpot and Kingdoms Rise tokens and like the other games in the series it can be played from 10p a spin.

    * 18+ First depositors only. Deposit & Stake £20 on any Kingdoms Rise slot game: Get 110 Bonus Spins on any Kingdoms Rise slots at 10p (10 lines x 1p) per spin. • Play Mighty Griffin Megaways at Mecca Bingo
Deposit & Spend £10, Get 300% Bingo Bonus, 200% Slot Bonus (for Reel King Mega)

Mighty Griffin is a six reel slot featuring the increasingly prolific Megaways engine. The base game is played across six reels and includes cascading reels, two bonus features and a free spins payout worth x50 your initial stake. The latter is triggered by landing at least three matching symbols.

The mystery symbol is the first bonus feature that you’ll come across and appears as a portal in a variety of positions across the reels – these then transform to match the same symbols thus generating more wins.

Then there’s the Golden Streak – a re-spin mechanic that serves as the second bonus feature, allowing you to land special symbols. When triggered, a countdown from 3 begins, resetting every time a symbol lands. Should it reach zero, you’ve got the option to gamble your free spins. If successful, you’ll be taken back to the Golden Streak for the chance to win more.

In addition to a potential prize that’s worth 5000 times your bet, Mighty Griffin is also linked to the Jackpot King network. So you’ve also got the chance to win a sizeable progressive jackpot too. This is won at random and is not part of any side-game.

    * New cutomer must deposit and spend £10 on bingo within 60 days. £30 bingo bonus (1x wagering) £20 slot bonus on Reel King Mega (4x wagering) and £10 of club vouchers. T&C apply.

  • Play Esqueleto Explosivo 2 at Fun Casino
    Deposit £10+, Get 100% Slot Bonus Up To £123 & 10% Cashback

Esqueleto Explosivo 2 by Thunderkick is the sequel to their original much loved Day Of The Dead themed slot from 2014.  It has 99 ways to win and as in the original all the symbols are singing candy skulls.

Esqueleto Explosivo 2 has cascading wins with a multiplier meter that doubles with each cascade up to a maximum of x32.  There’s also a special exploding wild which explodes all adjacent symbols apart from scatters and the highest pay symbol, causing a cascade even without a win.  These features were present in the original game, but what makes the sequel much more exciting (and much more volatile) is the inclusion of a free spins bonus round, which is triggered by the appearance of 3 or more scatter symbols.  During the bonus round, extra free spins can be triggered by the appearance of 2 or more scatters or by collecting 3 Explosivo Wilds (this also increases the starting multiplier for the remainder of the free spins).

Esqueleto Explosivo 2 has RTP of 96.13% and can be played from 10p a spin.

  • Play Piggy Riches Megaways at Buzz Bingo
Kingdoms Rise Slots: Deposit & Play £20, Get 110 Wager Free Spins

Piggy Riches Megaways by Red Tiger sees yet another evergreen slot game given a Megaways makeover – in this case, Net Ent’s 10 year old high variance thriller.  This is possible because Net Ent now own Red Tiger.  Piggy Riches Megaways is one of Red Tiger’s Daily Jackpot games and there are various configurations of jackpot depending on which site you choose to play it at.  It seems to be pretty popular, if the rate at which the daily jackpots ticked up on the day of its release are anything to go by.

Like many other Megaways games, Piggy Riches Megaways has a cascading wins game mechanic and a classic Megaways bonus round with an increasing multiplier.  What makes the bonus round even higher variance than usual is the spin the wheel feature at the start, which can award from 7 to 22 free spins with a starting multiplier of 1x to 10x.

Piggy Riches Megaways has RTP of 95.7% and can be played from 10p a spin.

    * 18+ First depositors only. Deposit & Stake £20 on any Kingdoms Rise slot game: Get 110 Bonus Spins on any Kingdoms Rise slots at 10p (10 lines x 1p) per spin. • Play Slingo Centurion at Royalbet
    Deposit £10 - £50, Get 100% Slot Bonus & 50 Spins (Book Of Dead)

Slingo Centurion, the latest version of the much loved bingo-meets-slots game, is a tie-in with the Centurion Maximus Winnus slot game by Inspired Gaming.  It has RTP of 95% and can be played from 20p a game.  For this you get 10 spins of the reels; match the numbers on the reels with the 5×5 game card and win by collecting complete lines (Slingos).  You’ll need at least 5 Slingos to collect a prize; if you don’t have them at the end of the 10 spins you can buy as many extra spins as you like (one at a time, each individually priced and each with its own 95% RTP) as long as there’s a chance that the next spin will enable a prize to be won (if there’s no chance the game ends automatically).

All of the prizes are different bonus rounds from the slot game, played at the same stake as the Slingo game, so what you actually win can be very variable.

  • Play Montezuma Megaways at Slot Machine
Deposit £10+, Spin The Mega Reel, You Could Win 500 Slot Spins

The Megaways revolution is in full swing with scores of online slots now featuring the ground-breaking mechanic. While some have been built from the ground-up, a fair few have been adapted to include Big Time Gaming’s enhanced engine. Montezuma Megaways is one such game. In terms of appearances, little has changed. The same South American theme is in place as are the reel symbols. However, there are now six reels that can display up to 7. Above these is the now standard four symbol row.

As usual, the Cascading Reels function causes winning symbols to explode off the reels to be replaced with new ones, thus generating (potentially) a chain of wins from a single spin. Typically, low value symbols are represented by playing card imagery while the high value ones are signified by a snake, mask, plumed hat, hawk, empress and emperor. The empress goes by the catchy name of Chichimecacihuatzin while the emperor is named Montezuma. The latter ruler is the most valuable of all and is worth 25 x your stake when six appear across the reels.

The Temple wild symbol can substitute for all pay symbols but only appears on the Montezuma Reel. After an unsuccessful spin, the Montezuma Respin Wheel sometimes appears and the top 1 x 4 reel comes into play.

The free spins feature is activated when you land at least three Aztec Calendars and comprises a segmented, numbered wheel. The numbers signify the amount of free spins, which tends to be in the range of 12 – 30. There’s also an Unlimited Win Multiplier that increases by one for every cascade. Scatters appear during the free spin side game as well. But instead of re-triggering free spins, they’ll cause the wheel to turn again. The number on which it lands will then be added to the multiplier which can reach 100.

Montezuma Megaways has an RTP of 95.92 and a minimum stake requirement of 0.20.

    * New players only, min deposit £10, £8 max win per 10 spins, max bonus conversion £250, 65x wagering requirement and full T&Cs apply

  • Play Age of the Gods: Epic Troy at Betfair Casino
100% Slot Bonus Up To £200 + 100 Free Spins

Age of the Gods: Epic Troy by Rarestone for Playtech is the first 243 way slot to feature in the Age of the Gods series of progressive jackpots.  The theming is based on the Trojan War and the mythical figures of Helen, Paris and Achilles.

Each of these three characters has a different respin bonus, triggered by two or more full stacks of the symbol landing on the same spin.  In the Helen bonus, the aim is to fill the reels with as many Helens as possible, in the Paris bonus the aim is to create a mega Paris symbol and in the Achilles bonus he transforms into 2 (or more) wild reels.  There’s also a free spins bonus round which takes place on a set of reels that only contain the more valuable symbols.

Age of the Gods; Epic Troy has RTP of 96.45% including the jackpot and can be played from 20p a spin.

  • Play Diamond Mine: Extra Gold Megaways at Slotsino
Deposit £10+, Get Up To 50 Bonus Spins

Diamond Mine: Extra Gold is the latest slot from Blueprint to make use of the ground-breaking Megaways engine – a random reel modifier that creates far more wins than standard games. Visually, Extra Gold bears more than a passing resemblance to its predecessor with the same desert backdrop and rendering of a rickety scaffolding frame.

The cascading reels mechanic replaces winning combinations with new symbols, thus generating some tidy returns if you’ve got a good reel set-up. Like the original, Extra Gold includes a free spin feature that’s triggered when you land at least four scatters.

Unlike the first game though, you can gamble your existing free spins for the chance to win thirty more by way of the gambling pie wheel. Blueprint has also included the mystery symbol enhancer which is signified by a TNT barrel. Appearing in both the base game and free spins feature, it can transform into any cash-paying symbol.

Diamond Mine: Extra Gold Megaways can be played for 20p and has an RTP of 96.43%.

    * New Customers Only. 1st Deposit only. Min Deposit £10. Max 50 bonus spins on selected slots only. 2x conversion. 20x wagering.

  • Play Buffalo Rising Megaways at bgo
Win Up To 500 Spins (Twin Spin) On Your First Deposit (UK only)

Buffalo Rising is the latest slot to get the Megaways treatment. Big-Time Gaming’s innovative mechanic is proving pretty popular with players, thanks to the random-reel modifier. The game comprises a set of six reels, above which is another set of four.

They’re set against a well-rendered canyon backdrop and are decorated with the standard assortment of playing card symbols. These are joined by depictions of prairie animals including a wolf, bear and of course a buffalo. Highlights include the cascading reels feature in which falling symbols replace winning combos to form new ones. High value symbols include the Prairie Sunset that reveals matching symbols and the Pink Diamond scatter.

Landing four of these triggers the potentially lucrative free spins round. When activated, you’ll be awarded 15 free games that feature an ever-increasing multiplier. During the free spins round, it’s possible to collect extra spins by landing additional pink diamond symbols. Also look out for the Feature Select at the beginning of each bonus round. You’ll be able to choose 15 free spins with a 1x multipler, 10 free spins with a 5x multiplier or 5 free spins with a 10x multiplier.

Like all Megaways slots, Buffalo Rising can be played for just 20p. It has an RTP of 96.43%.

    * UK only. Win up to 500 Free Spins from Mega Wheel on 1st deposit. 24-hour expiry. Max bet £2.50, max spins win £8 per 10 spins, max Bonus win £150, selected games & 65x wagering on winnings. No Neteller/Skrill. Deposit/withdrawal fees apply. Full T&Cs apply

New Slot Games – April 2020

What can we expect in terms of slot game releases for 2020?  A key event in the calendar was the ICE London iGaming industry mega show, a huge showcase for upcoming titles which took place in early February 2020, setting the direction for the rest of the year.

Last year was about Megaways slots  and buying and/or gambling the bonus round.  In October 2019 the Gambling Commission took action to have most slot games with a straightforward “buy the bonus round” facility removed from the UK market, but the concept most definitely has not gone away as it is still possible to trigger the bonus round in many 2019 slots by collecting coins as you play.  Indeed, in the Kingdoms Rise slots Playtech has taken this much further by attaching an in-game shop where players can use their saved coins to purchase bonus rounds that are not otherwise available.  We’ve also seen other related features take centre stage:

  • Super Bet – first rolled out in games such as Foxin’ Wins, this allows players to change with variance of the game by increasing their stake to make bonus features potentially more lucrative.  Variations on this theme are now very frequent – for example, in 88 Fortunes Megaways where players can pay to turn up to 4 extra symbols gold.
  • Pay to respin – this idea first saw the light of day in Slingo games and then in Eyecon‘s Rebets Splendour, and now several new releases have it including Microgaming’s Break Da Bank Again Respin by Microgaming.  Players can pay to respin individual reels (each priced separately) to try to form or improve a win, or to trigger the bonus round.  This can involve spending a lot more than the original spin value.
  • Gamble the bonus round – first seen in Big Time Gaming’s seminal (and temporarily banned from the UK) game Extra Chilli, this allows players to gamble a bonus round which they have just won or purchased in the hope of getting a better bonus round with more spins, a better starting multiplier or whatever.  In later games the concept was modified so that there was less danger of losing the bonus round completely on a gamble and in the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire slot the entire point of the bonus round is to gamble.

All of these features increase the variance of the game in question and as we go into 2020, high variance is certainly still in fashion.  The success of Big Time Gaming, Elk and other small studios specialising in high volatility slots shows how many players prefer the thrill of slot games with high volatility, to slowly losing money to a low volatility slot.  In the coming year, we expect to see even more high variance slots hit the UK.

Another thing that we expect to see in 2020 is more slot games with darker and/or more adult themes as game providers steer away from any content such as cartoon animals that might conceivably appeal to children. Even characters such as the leprechaun from Rainbow Riches have turned out to be problematic; the ASA and the Gambling Commission want such characters to be hidden from under 18s, so only visible after login.  This makes it much harder for new slot games including these elements to be promoted as they can only be shown to existing players; we don’t expect them to vanish entirely but we expect them to make up a smaller proportion of new releases.

With so many new slot games being released by so many game providers every week, most are destined to sink without much of a trace and only a few can become tomorrow’s Starburst, Immortal Romance or Bonanza.  Megaways, the trend started by Bonanza, is still wildly popular and the next release by BTG will be a Megaways slot – but maybe in 2020 it will start to look a bit overdone and it will be time for the next big thing?

There’s already a candidate for the next big thing in the form of Playtech’s Live Slots product which was sneaked out just before Christmas.  Currently just one game – Buffalo Blitz – is available to play in this format but (as we found out at ICE) more games are on the way including a live Deal Or No Deal bingo game and a live version of Age Of The Gods: God Of Storms.

So what else was on show at ICE?  Highlights included NetEnt’s Gordon Ramsay themed slot Hell’s Kitchen, Pragmatic Play’s TV tie in with Peaky Blinders, Sausage Party and Rick & Morty themed slots from Blueprint, and Microgaming’s Game Of Thrones Power Stacks.  Although Microgaming have done a Game of Thrones slot before, it was something of a disappointment as it didn’t include any characters or footage from the TV show.  The new game most certainly does include characters and footage (as well as four progressive jackpots) and if you enjoyed the spectacle of Season 8, you are in for a treat!  Another treat is in store from NetEnt for fans of retro gaming in the form of Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Slot which will arrive in May.

The big trend for 2020 looks to be jackpot slots and here’s just some of what’s coming on that front:

  • More Kingdoms Rise, Age of the Gods and Fire Blaze jackpot slots from Playtech.  Age of the Gods is getting a second series of games, Age of the Gods Norse, which has operator configurable jackpots.
  • Not one, but two new Mega Moolah titles from Microgaming subsidiaries.  Absolootly Mad is being created by Triple Edge and Atlantean Treasures by Neon Valley Studios.
  • Jackpot versions of several PlayNGo slots including Tome of Madness.
  • Starburst PowerPots by NetEnt.  Coming in the autumn, this is an operator configurable progressive jackpot system including Starburst, Twin Spin, Butterfly Staxx and Fruit Shop.  Players collect Starburst tokens as they play to fill a container at the side of the reels.  When the container is full it adds to the community progress bar – and when that bar is full the community jackpot drops!  We’re really excited about this as it will bring the excitement of Red Tiger style must-drop jackpots to perhaps the best loved slot game of all time.
