Best new bingo sites selection - New Slot Games

Best New Bingo Sites presents the best new slot games for January 2020 and from the last few months.  For each game, we’ve selected a bingo or slot site where it can be played, but if you don’t like the welcome offer from the featured site there are plenty of alternatives in our Best Slot & Casino Offers section.

  • Play Sweet Success Megaways at 7Casino
Win Up To 500 Free Spins On Your 1st Deposit (UK Only) - Twin Spin

Sweet Success Megaways is yet another Megaways game by Blueprint, that is essentially Deal Or No Deal Megaways without the branding..  It has the horizontal conveyor covering reels 2-5 and cascading wins mechanic that is common to a great many Megaways slots.

The Pick’n’Mix bonus has three levels and is triggered after 4, 5 or 6 consecutive cascades.  It is a pick-me which can award cash prizes or free spins.  The free spins take place with added mystery symbols and with a multiplier that increases with each win (again, these are familiar features that appear in other Megaways slots).  What makes Sweet Success Megaways different to most other Megaways slots is the nature of the pick-me itself – it’s a Deal Or No Deal style bonus game where you either collect what’s inside your own sweet ONLY at the end of the round, or accept a cash offer after a round of picks (which sometimes comes with 5 free spins).  To be sure of winning free spins and not a (usually disappointing) cash prize you’ll need 6 cascades to get the version of Pick’n’Mix where all possible awards are free spins.  No prizes for guessing how rare that is!

Sweet Success Megaways has RTP of 96.06% and can be played from 10p a spin.

  • Play Buffalo Blitz Live at Buzz Bingo
Kingdoms Rise Slots: Deposit & Play £20, Get 110 Wager Free Spins

Buffalo Blitz Live by Playtech is the first of their games to be given the new Live Slots treatment – played on a big screen with a live host and live chat.  Everyone spins together, and everyone wins or loses together; to play you’ll need to activate autoplay for the number of spins you’d like to join in with.

The Buffalo Blitz game itself dates back to 2016; it’s a high variance 4096 way slot with a potentially very exciting bonus round (now made even more exciting by the group play and live commentary) that can be retriggered multiple times.

Buffalo Blitz has RTP of 95.96% and the live version can be played from 40p a spin.

    * 18+ First depositors only. Deposit & Stake £20 on any Kingdoms Rise slot game: Get 110 Bonus Spins on any Kingdoms Rise slots at 10p (10 lines x 1p) per spin. • Play Finn’s Golden Tavern at bingo.com
    Deposit £10, Get £20 Bingo/Slots Bonus & 40 Free Spins

Finn’s Golden Tavern by NetEnt is a second outing for the eponymous leprechaun and his unusual spiral reel arrangement, this time set in a pub (perfect for St Patrick’s Day!).  Collect, score and remove lines of three or more drinks or coins to send the treasure chest to the centre of the reels and trigger free spins.

Instead of the four different free spin features in the original game that got progressively harder to trigger, Finn’s Golden Tavern has a multiplier meter in its bonus round.  The other main difference is the inclusion of the coin symbol – score a winning combo with these and you’ll collect the face value of the coins in it, not a fixed sum.

Finn’s Golden Tavern can be played from 10p a spin and has RTP of 96.1%.

    * 18+, New Customers Only, T&Cs Apply, 40x wagering

  • Play Kingdoms Rise: Reign Of Ice at The Sun Vegas
Deposit £10+ Get 100% Slot Bonus (up to £300)

Kingdoms Rise: Reign of Ice is the latest release in the new Kingdoms Rise series of fantasy themed progressive jackpot slots by Playtech and is very loosely themed on Norse mythology.  As in the earlier games in the series (Forbidden Forest, Guardians of the Abyss and Sands of Fury), you collect tokens as you play which can be redeemed in the Kingdoms Rise shop against bonus rounds from any of the four games.  In the case of Reign of Ice, one of these is the regular bonus round, the Hammer Respins, in a regular and enhanced version and there’s also two bonus rounds that can’t be triggered in the game normally.  There’s a regular progressive jackpot plus a daily jackpot and a value limited jackpot.

Reign of Ice has 25 lines and can be played from 10p a spin.  The RTP including the jackpot contribution and the tokens is 96.07% – without either it is 92.08%.

  • Play Sweet Bonanza Xmas at PlayKasino
    Deposit £10 - £50, Get 100% Slot Bonus & 50 Bonus Spins (BerryBurst)

Sweet Bonanza Xmas by Pragmatic Play is a Christmas themed version of the Sweet Bonanza game from earlier in the year.  It is almost identical to the original, the main difference being in the look of the game (all the symbols have snow on them).  The UK version of the game does not have the option, which would normally be present in the 20x bet mulitplier, to purchase the bonus round, so the choice is between the regular bet of 20 coins and the enhanced bet of 25 coins which doubles the chance of the bonus round being triggered naturally (by 4+ scatters).

Just like its predecessor, Sweet Bonanza Xmas is played on a 6 x 5 array and the aim is to collect 8 or more of the same symbol (they need not be next to each other).  Winning symbols explode and new ones drop down potentially creating more wins.  This really comes into its own in the free spins bonus round as there are multiplier symbols in play

Sweet Bonanza Xmas has RTP of 96.49% – 96.6% (which is slightly higher than the original) and can be played from 20p a spin.

  • Play Polar Paws at bgo
Win Up To 500 Spins (Twin Spin) On Your First Deposit (UK only)

Polar Paws is a 25 line slot by Quickspin with a festive North Pole setting.  It has two kinds of wilds – regular wilds and multiplier wilds (which multiply all wins in rounds in which they occur, not just wins they are part of).  The wild action doesn’t stop there, either – in the free spins bonus round, players can collect Christmas Elf scatter symbols to turn the Papa, Mama and Baby Polar Bear symbols wild for the duration of the bonus round.

Polar Paws has RTP of 96.84% and can be played from 25p a spin.

    * UK only. Win up to 500 Free Spins from Mega Wheel on 1st deposit. 24-hour expiry. Max bet £2.50, max spins win £8 per 10 spins, max Bonus win £150, selected games & 65x wagering on winnings. No Neteller/Skrill. Deposit/withdrawal fees apply. Full T&Cs apply

  • Play TED Jackpot King at Foxy Bingo
Deposit & Spend £10, Get £40 Bingo Bonus

TED Jackpot King by Blueprint Gaming brings everyone’s favourite naughty teddy bear into the very popular Jackpot King progressive jackpot system.  Jackpot King is an operator specific jackpot and can be much larger at some sites than others, in some places a mere 6 figures and in others exceeding £2 million.  The Jackpot King bonus game can be triggered on any spin and apart from that the game is the same old TED we know and love, with its 6 bonus features and 5 bonus rounds.

TED Jackpot King has RTP of 93.02% excluding the jackpot contribution and can be played from 10p a spin.

    * 18+. New players only. Min £10 deposit & wager. £40 Bonus valid on Bingo only. 4x wag req. 14 days to meet wagering req. Offer expires in 14 days. T&Cs apply. Please play responsibly

  • Play Golden Glyph at Gala Spins
Jackpot King Slots: Deposit & Play £10+, Get £40 Bonus

Golden Glyph by Quickspin is an Egyptian themed slot game played on a 7×7 grid and is reminiscent of games such as Viking Runecraft and Tome of Madness.  Win by scoring clusters of 5 or more of the same symbol; each winning cluster explodes and spawns a Power Wild and then other symbols drop down to fill the gaps.  If the Power Wild then forms part of a another winning cluster, a power up is triggered which helps create more wins.  Progress through 4 power ups to trigger the free spins bonus round with a wandering wild whose mulitplier increases with each win that includes it.

Golden Glyph can be played from 20p a spin and has RTP of 96.19%.

    * 18+. New customers only. Certain countries only. Min deposit and spend £10 cash on any Jackpot King game = £40 bonus. x20 wagering reqs apply. Bonus valid for 7 days. Selected games only. T&Cs apply.

  • Play Ozzy Osbourne at Slots Rush
Up To £150 Bonus & 150 Spins (across 3 deposits)

Ozzy Osbourne Video Slots is a 20 line slot game by NetEnt themed on the charismatic British rock star otherwise known as the Prince Of Darkness.  Trigger a re-spin or better still the free spins bonus round to activate the Symbol Spinner and the Feature Spinner and apply a bonus feature to one of the symbols; in the bonus round this happens on each spin and the effects last for the duration of the free spins which can build up to some big wins.   The Bonus Bet feature doubles the stake to increase the number of initial free spins from 4 to 5 and increase the possible multipliers during free spins.

Ozzy Osbourne can be played from 20p a spin (40p if Bonus Bet is activated) and has RTP of 96.30% without Bonus Bet or 96.67% with Bonus Bet.

  • Play Reel Rush 2 at Lucky VIP Casino
    Deposit £10 - £100, Get 150% Slot Bonus

Reel Rush 2 by Net Ent is the sequel to the original Reel Rush game from 2013.  Like the original, it has classic platformer video game styling and a distinctive 45 way diamond shaped reels arrangement, with extra positions that are unlocked on respins after every won, increasing the numbers of ways to win up to a maximum of 1875 ways on the fifth respin.  Starting with only one symbol in play on reel 1 (which can’t be a wild), it can be hard to get the string of wins going but there are some random bonus features that help by awarding a re-spin on a loss, turning symbols wild or unlocking extra parts of the play area.  Reel Rush 2 also has a 3125 way Free Spins bonus round (triggered by unlocking the whole of the play area) which turns into Super Free Spins (with a progressive multiplier going up on every win) if the player has collected enough tokens through play, gambles or pays to top them up to the required 2000.

Basically, this is a buy the bonus round slot – but instead of being able to buy it straight off (which is no longer allowed in the UK), you have to wait for the basic bonus round to be triggered before you can buy the upgrade.

Reel Rush 2 can be played from 20p a spin and has RTP of 95.53%  – 96.58%; the variable RTP is because there is a slightly higher RTP attached to buying Super Tokens to upgrade the bonus round than to playing it as is or gambling.

New Slot Games – January 2020

What can we expect in terms of slot game releases for 2020?  A key event in the calendar is the ICE iGaming industry mega show, a huge showcase for upcoming titles which takes place in February. Many flagship titles get their first exposure there; last year these included Net Ent’s Ozzy Osbourne and Microgaming’s Village People Macho Moves as well the sequels to Da Vinci Diamonds, Pixies of the Forest and Agent Jane Blonde.

2019 was about Megaways slots  and buying and/or gambling the bonus round.  In October 2019 the Gambling Commission took action to have most slot games with a straightforward “buy the bonus round” facility removed from the UK market, but the concept most definitely has not gone away as it is still possible to trigger the bonus round in many 2019 slots by collecting coins as you play.  Indeed, in the Kingdoms Rise slots Playtech has taken this much further by attaching an in game shop where players can use their saved coins to purchase bonus rounds that are not otherwise available.  We’ve also seen other related features take centre stage:

  • Super Bet – first rolled out in games such as Foxin’ Wins, this allows players to change with variance of the game by increasing their stake to make bonus features potentially more lucrative.  Variations on this theme are now very frequent – for example, in 88 Fortunes Megaways where players can pay to turn up to 4 extra symbols gold.
  • Pay to respin – this idea first saw the light of day in Slingo games and then in Eyecon‘s Rebets Splendour, and now several new releases have it including Microgaming’s Break Da Bank Again Respin by Microgaming.  Players can pay to respin individual reels (each priced separately) to try to form or improve a win, or to trigger the bonus round.  This can involve spending a lot more than the original spin value.
  • Gamble the bonus round – first seen in Big Time Gaming’s seminal (and subsequently banned from the UK) game Extra Chilli, this allows players to gamble a bonus round which they have just won or purchased in the hope of getting a better bonus round with more spins, a better starting multiplier or whatever.  In later games the concept was modified so that there was less danger of losing the bonus round completely on a gamble and in the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire slot the entire point of the bonus round is to gamble.

All of these features increase the variance of the game in question and as we go into 2020, high variance is certainly still in fashion.  The success of Big Time Gaming, Elk and other small studios specialising in high volatility slots shows how many players prefer the thrill of slot games with high volatility, to slowly losing money to a low volatility slot.  In the coming year, we expect to see even more high variance slots hit the UK.

Another thing that we expect to see in 2020 is more slot games with darker and/or more adult themes as game providers steer away from any content such as cartoon animals that might conceivably appeal to children. Even characters such as the leprechaun from Rainbow Riches have turned out to be problematic; the ASA and the Gambling Commission want such characters to be hidden from under 18s, so only visible after login.  This makes it much harder for new slot games including these elements to be promoted as they can only be shown to existing players; we don’t expect them to vanish entirely but we expect them to make up a smaller proportion of new releases.

With so many new slot games being released by so many game providers every week, most are destined to sink without much of a trace and only a few can become tomorrow’s Starburst, Immortal Romance or Bonanza.  Megaways, the trend started by Bonanza, is still wildly popular and the next release by BTG will be a Megaways slot – – but maybe in 2020 it will start to look a bit overdone and it will be time for the next big thing?

There’s already a candidate for the next big thing in the form of Playtech’s Live Slots product which was sneaked out just before Christmas.  Currently just one game – Buffalo Blitz – is available to play in this format but if it proves popular with players, more will undoubtedly follow.

In the meantime, it’s goodbye to Christmas themed slots – and some would say good riddance as many are older games which have been given a seasonally themed reskin – for example, 2018’s Jingle Spin from NetEnt which was a reskin of their EggOMatic slot game.

Next stop, ICE London 2020 in February!
