Animingo, A New Bingo Game From Pragmatic Play

What Is Animingo?

Just in time for Easter 2024, Pragmatic Play have launched a new bingo game called Animingo.  It’s 50 ball bingo, but without any of those pesky numbers.  Instead, there are 50 different cute animals – a frog, a seal, and owl, polar and brown bears, an ostrich, a lion, a unicorn and many more.  Animingo also has a feature game called Pick A Pic which is active in some but not all games.

How To Play Animingo

Animingo is so new that it doesn’t yet show in the main lobbies of some Pragmatic Play bingo sites.  To find it, launch a random bingo room then touch the house icon to access the Pragmatic Play bingo lobby, or hit Pre-Buy to see the bingo schedule (currently the room is open 9am – noon and 7pm – 11pm UK time but as with any new game it’s subject to change).  The maximum ticket purchase varies from game to game; currently the lowest maximum is 30 and the highest maximum is a massive 300 (that’s for the first game of each session) but just as with the opening times of the room, we expect there to be some experimentation with this based on feedback from operators and players.

When the Animingo room is open, a game plays every 3-4 minutes and the Pick A Pic feature is available in around a third of games; when available, it shows above the Animingo logo on the ticket purchase screen.  The Pick A Pic games are also clearly marked on the schedule on pre-buy screen, and you can use the Feature drop down filter to show only the games with the filter if you like.

Once you’ve bought some tickets (currently priced from 5p to 12p each), you will find that Animingo plays just like regular 50 ball bingo, but instead of the numbers you see a procession of cute animal faces.  There’s prizes for 1 line and full house, plus a progressive jackpot (seeded at £500) that drops if full house is called in 17 or fewer calls.

In games with the Pick A Pic feature game, it plays immediately after the full house winner is announced.  You’ll see 5 different animal faces (they change from game to game) and have 15 seconds to choose one.  Most but not all selections award a small cash prize (which does not appear to be related to the number of tickets you purchased).

If you don’t choose an animal in time, or if you bought tickets in advance and aren’t in the bingo room when the Pick A Pic feature plays, a random selection will be made for you.

At most Pragmatic Play bingo sites, Animingo room doesn’t have any chat (there’s extra minigames instead of a chat window).  If you want to chat while you play, bet365 bingo is a good option; they do have chat in the Animingo room and if you play on their mobile app you can pop it up in a translucent window making it super easy to follow the chat and the game at the same time.
