Pub Casino is new for 2023 and (the name is a clue!) very much aimed at UK players.
The design of Pub Casino is absolutely stunning, really capturing the atmosphere of an old fashioned community pub. One particularly distinctive feature is that all of the game tiles are in vintage style black and white, but as soon you mouse over a tile (or touch it on mobile) it turns to colour.
There are many different ways at Pub Casino to find the games you want to play. Filtering by the provider is one of the simplest and will bring up a selection of that provider’s most popular games at the top, followed by the rest in alphabetical order. Slot games are split into Slots and Video Slots, the former category being for fruit machine style games including Blueprint’s Pub Fruit series and the likes of Fire Joker Freeze and Joker’s Jewels. The Table Games area has a small selection of RNG roulette, blackjack and other card games. Live Casino has roulette and blackjack tables and other live casino games plus game shows by Evolution and Pragmatic Play. At Pub Casino they clearly understand how popular Slingo games are with UK players and have given them their own area (where you’ll also find Blueprint’s Prize Lines games which work on a similar principle).
Progressive jackpots are not quite so easy to find as they don’t have their own area, but a cursory search turns up Jackpot King, Mega Fortune and several Mega Moolah games to name but a few
Rather surprisingly, Pub Casino also has an integrated sportsbook which specialises in football, basketball, ice hockey, e-sports, tennis and table tennis, with many other sports featured too. Again, this shows a clear understanding of what’s currently popular with UK players, in this case the casino + sportsbook combo.
The promotions page at Pub Casino didn’t have much on it at launch apart from an announcement of their intention to run tournaments starting February 2023 (something that other L&L Europe sites already do) and these are surely going to add to the entertainment value.
If you’ve not tried the L&L Europe casino platform before, Pub Casino looks like a great place to start.
L&L Europe’s Responsible Gaming document takes a different (and arguably far superior) approach to some of the others you may have come across. It starts by answering the question “What is Responsible Gambling and how does it relate to me?” and goes on to explain how their Responsible Gaming Team will reach out once your activity hits one of their automated Responsible Gaming Thresholds and how the conversation might go and why. They also include two self assessment tests, one offsite and one onsite. There follows an explanation of affordability checks and how they relate to deposit limits and to data protection and privacy.
Only after all that do they come on to safer gambling tools and not just how to use them, but why and when to use them. As well as the usual deposit limits, they offer daily time limits, daily wagering limits and daily, weekly and monthly loss limits. Self exclusion applies to all L&L Europe sites, not just Pub Casino.
Finally there are the links to other sources of help including the new Gamcare initiative TalkBanStop.
Although it is just text and links with no fancy graphics, videos or other extras, this is actually one of the best Responsible Gaming pages we’ve come across.
