Unfortunately we can't bring you an offer for Wish Bingo at the moment. We're working to fix this, but in the meantime please visit our UK Bingo Sites page for a full list of other great offers
Wish Bingo has been in business for quite some time, having been launched all the way back in 2014. It looks very different now to that way it did then, though.
The site originally sported an Arabian Nights theme with a friendly blue bingo genie waiting to help your wishes come true. This was clearly a homage to a well known animated film and in terms of possible appeal to children, the dial went all the way up to eleven. Back then, there were dozens of bingo sites fronted by cartoon animals, fairytale characters, cute monsters and all manner of others things that would never be allowed now. It all had to be cleaned up in 2017 after the Gambling Commission got tough on gambling advertising on operators’ own websites as well as on TV. For many bingo sites (including Costa Bingo and several more of Wish Bingo’s sister sites) it was just a case of removing any cartoon characters and toning the theme down a bit, but in the case of Wish Bingo the only remedy was to turn the theming into something completely different. And thus was born the Wish Bingo of today, themed on well-being and heavy on inspirational quotes (“start the day with a smile and finish it with a game of bingo”, anyone?) and the colour purple.
The new version of Wish Bingo does look very nice. But it’s important to understand that what you see when you go to the site is really just a shop window and not a very informative one at that (for example, it doesn’t tell you what bingo rooms they have, only that they include 90 ball, 75-24, 5 line and 52-5 bingo games). Once signed up and logged in, you’ll find yourself in a fairly standard Dragonfish lobby.
The mix of bingo rooms you’ll find at Wish Bingo in 2021 is a result of the entire group having been brought into 888 house ownership in 2019 (and later sold on in 2021). It’s mostly the same rooms as at 888 Ladies but under different names; there’s plenty of choice of 75 and 90 ball rooms but many are cash only (the ones that can be played with bonus are found under the Buy In Bonus tab in the lobby). A few rooms including some of the weekly jackpots are even more widely networked.
The Costa network does still have a few exclusives including a series of £1000 bingo games on Friday evenings. These are invitation only (you may get one after making a deposit).
In its heyday, Wish Bingo also ran prize bingo games aimed at fulfilling the wishes of those with young families, with prizes including white goods, shopping vouchers for back-to-school items and electricity bills paid for a year. But sadly that is all in the past and there’s no longer anything in the way of special promotions.
Slots is another area where you really need to log in and go inside the lobby to appreciate what’s on offer; it’s literally hundreds of games including many evergreen favourites as well as recent releases. Dragonfish have made a huge amount of progress in the last few years bringing in lots of new providers to keep the selection of games up to date and varied. Again, quite a lot of the games can only be played with cash but there’s still plenty that can be played with bonus if that’s how you choose to redeem your loyalty scheme Diamonds.
