Butterfly Bingo is a Dragonfish network bingo site with lots of extras which has been around since 2014 and is one of the very few Dragonfish sites to have been advertised on TV.
Way back in 2014 the site (along with free bingo portal Bingoport) was owned by Blueburra Holdings, but later in the same year the entire company was sold to Gaming Realms which resulted in Butterfly gaining access to some extra bingo rooms networked with what was then called Iceland Bingo (it’s now Prizeland Bingo) and a number of other sites including Bubble Bonus Bingo.
In February 2016 Butterfly was sold again, this time to Silverspin, together with other sites on the mini network but excluding Iceland (which went to a different but related buyer). The effect of all this on Butterfly Bingo was that the Wacky Wings exclusive bingo room stayed but instead of being exclusive it is now networked with half a dozen other sites; on the whole this is a plus point as it made the room more lively and increased liquidity. The Big Night In and Pennies Make £’s rooms also stayed along with some other invite only specials. Butterfly Bingo is now owned by Zenzero Limited.
This particular group of bingo sites, then, are all still a cut above standard Dragonfish sites with several extra rooms and although Butterfly no longer has exclusive bonus games the Butterfly Wheel has been incorporated into Silverspin’s exclusive Weekly Rewards loyalty scheme. The Butterfly Wheel itself (along with its counterparts at other Silverspin sites) is interesting and unusual in that what you see is what you get; the segments are all the same size and equally weighted so there’s an equal chance of winning each prize.
Butterfly Bingo is well served for slots as well. They are all served up in the new, rather minimalist Dragonfish lobby which is great for mobile play, but it’s not too minimalist; jackpots (which are all by Eyecon) and Slingo titles have their own areas to make them easier to find and there’s also an area given over to seasonally themed slots, sometimes with a special promotion attached. It’s also possible to find games by using the search facility.
The rest of the lobby is taken up with a detailed explanation of the player rewards scheme which is based on how much you deposited and spent in the last week (it has to be £25 or more to get any benefits) and the Offers area where you’ll find details of any promotions they are running as well as a different deposit code for each day of the week, refreshed monthly. Definitely more than you’ll find at most Dragonfish sites!
