Britain's Biggest Bingo at Tombola

Updated: 14th Aug 2024
For October 2022, there’s new games at both Tombola Bingo and Tombola Arcade but all are rather overshadowed by another new very exciting addition to the bingo part of the site – Britain’s Biggest Bingo!
What is Britain’s Biggest Bingo?
Britain’s Biggest Bingo is a 90 ball bingo game that will play at 9pm on 1st November and is planned to run on the first of every month. It’s a 90 ball game with no line prizes and a guaranteed Full House prize of £100,000. “Guaranteed” means that the prize will be determined by ticket sales but there’s a minimum of £100,000, so if they sell a lot of tickets it could be even more.
If you’ve previously played at Tombola you will know that there’s no pre-buy on the bingo software but despite that, their big money games are very popular and tens of thousands of players buy in every time. Or rather we should say, there WAS no pre-buy, but for Britain’s Biggest Bingo Tombola have got round it Dragonfish style, by running the game in a room of its own and opening ticket sales a long time in advance of the game (a month in advance, to be precise). Tickets are a very reasonable 50p for a strip of 6 and players can buy up to 4 strips so there’s a maximum outlay of just £2. And after just two days of ticket sales, Tombola have sold a LOT of tickets; more than 50,000 players have bought at least one strip.
The Britain’s Biggest Bingo room has chat, but it won’t open until half an hour before the game plays. And because a chat room with over 50,000 people in it would be bound to crash big time, there will be many different chat rooms and you’ll be allocated one at random when you buy tickets.
The most interesting thing about this bingo game, however, is the RTP. To find out what it is, you need to click on the hamburger menu which is top left when you’re in the bingo room and read the game rules. We were astonished to discover that the RTP for Britain’s Biggest Bingo version 1.0.0 is……ONE HUNDRED PERCENT! That’s right, no house edge – so if more than £100,000 worth of tickets have been sold (which may even have already happened) ALL of the excess ticket money will be added to the Full House prize. (This might change in future iterations of the game).
(UPDATE – on the morning of 1st November the prize stands at more than £215,000).
What else is new at Tombola Bingo?
Also new at Tombola Bingo is a Halloween themed reskin of one of their earlier games, with the same 15 number 45 ball engine, the same prize structure (4 corners and full house), the same stake levels of 10p, 25p, 50p, £1 and £2, the same 500x jackpot for bingo in 28 calls and the same RTP (guaranteed to be more than 80%).
As always when Tombola release a new bingo game, the room is jam packed with thousands of players meaning that the prizes are substantial but the chance of winning one is remote. So you might prefer to wait a few days for the first rush of interest to subside before giving it a go.
What’s new on Tombola Arcade?
Over on Tombola Arcade, there’s some new games too. Pirates Curse is a Spin (slot style) game with RTP of 98.25% and a minimum stake of just 5p. It’s got 20 win lines and a free spins bonus round. Halloween is a limited time seasonally themed Scratch (scratchcard) game, and there’s also another new Scratch game, Dominoes. Both of these games also have a minimum stake of 5p and RTP of 98.25%, but they are quite different from each other.
