What is Spirit Twister Bingo?
Spirit Twister Bingo is a new bingo game at some but not all Virtue Fusion bingo sites. It takes the equal chance element from the Mecca Bingo exclusive BOB and the prize multiplier element from the Paddy Power exclusive Deal Or No Deal Multiplier Bingo and combines them with regular 5 line, 75 ball bingo.
How To Play Spirit Twister Bingo
Spirit Twister Bingo has its own tab in the bingo lobby as it’s not a normal bingo room with scheduled games; the games play on demand, starting when there are enough players. This does mean that pre-buy isn’t available.
Click on the Spirit Twister tab and you’ll be given the opportunity to buy 10 tickets for 50p (free tickets can be used but since Virtue Fusion free tickets are valid in games with a ticket price up to 10p this isn’t the best value). After buying tickets (or clicking the Watch A Game button), you’ll be taken into the bingo room for a countdown to the next game (variable but at the time of writing, less than 2 minutes). The maximum number of players allowed per game is 25 and if more try to join during the countdown, the extra players are sent to a fresh room with a fresh countdown (just as happens in BOB). Sometimes fewer than 25 players join and if this happens, the game still plays (we expect the countdown time to be adjusted to respond to fluctuations in demand).
Immediately before the game starts, the Spirit Twister part happens and this is the bit that’s similar to DOND Multiplier Bingo. One of the 5 spirit animals is chosen to set the Spirit Animal Multiplier of 1x (green hare) , 2x (yellow stag), 3x (orange fox), 4x (purple wolf) or 5x (blue bear). The colour scheme of the cards and background change to match that game’s animal.
The game then plays just like regular 5 line bingo. The Spirit Animal Multiplier is applied to the full house prize only.
If you want to play again after the first game finishes, you can buy another set of tickets without going back to the lobby, but you won’t see the countdown to the next game until you either buy tickets or click the Watch A Game button.
Spirit Twister Bingo has a progressive jackpot which drops if the coverall is completed in 40 calls or fewer. It’s seeded at £1000 and 2% of ticket sales go to making it grow; a few days after launch it was up to nearly £1500. As there’s a maximum of only 250 cards in play in each game, and the chance each card has of winning a game that quickly is around 1 in 400 million, it could be a very long time indeed before it drops by which time it could be very large. When it does drop, the split is 50/50 between the full house winner and all the tickets in play.
What’s So Great About Spirit Twister Bingo?
Quite simply, the really great thing about Spirit Twister Bingo is how often you’ll win something compared with almost any other bingo game available to UK players (the only exception being Unibet‘s Hexabingo). Each game has 5 prizes and is limited to 25 players, in contrast to a regular 90 ball game where there are 3 prizes and potentially hundreds of players. Play 10 games of Spirit Twister Bingo and your chance of winning at least one prize in that time climbs to around 90%.
Spirit Twister Bingo also scores highly in terms of sheer entertainment value for money; what with the Spirit Animal Multiplier and the 5 prizes there’s plenty going on and each game takes a while to play, so you’re getting quite a show for your 50p.
