About Pick Me Up! Bingo

It’s always reassuring for players to know that the bingo site they are playing at is associated with a household name and in this case it’s Pick Me Up! magazine, a rather racy weekly real-life gossip magazine that was launched in 2005.  Even if you’ve never read the magazine, you’ll have seen it in newsagents and at supermarket checkouts with its front cover headlines that are basically like a print version of the Jeremy Kyle show.  Pick Me Up! is not quite as popular as it once was but is still read by more than 50,000 people each week.  Future plc, the publishers of the magazine, also have a number of other Dragonfish bingo sites associated with other magazines they publish. Although they all have the same bingo rooms, they don’t all have the same welcome offer and indeed, this is where Pick Me Up! Bingo stands out from the rest.

Bingo Games

Speaking of bingo rooms, at Pick Me Up Bingo the focus is very much on specials.  For example, the Exclusive area contains a sliding jackpot game that is exclusive to the United bingo network plus another exclusive bingo game where all the prizes are slot spins. The Special Jackpots area has the widely networked 52 ball bingo game Suit Up plus the equally widely networked Mystery Jackpot (a room where the prize can be anything from £10 to £500 and is only revealed after ticket sales have closed).  The “Linked and Loaded” regular 75 and 90 ball rooms are also networked with other Dragonfish sites.  Most rooms can be played with bonus but a few are real money only.

Pick Me Up Bingo also has 3 free bingo rooms (all running games periodically rather than continuously).  Two of them are sliding jackpot games open to all players and the other one requires a recent deposit.

Other Games

The slots part of the lobby has areas for progressive jackpots (all of which are by Eyecon) and Slingo and other instant games as well as for new and trending games and for any seasonal specials and this makes it much easier to find games that you might like than it is at many other Dragonfish sites. Of course, you can also search directly for games you know the name of and you’ll also occasionally get a pop-up suggesting a specific game.  It’s also easy to spot games that can’t be played with bonus – they are marked “real money only” in the lobby.

Like all Dragonfish sites, Pick Me Up Bingo doesn’t have any other types of casino games

Other Things To Consider

The player rewards system at Pick Me Up Bingo is based on trophy collection.  Different trophies fill the prize wheel meter at a different rate, and most of them can be collected daily or weekly.  When the meter is full, you get a spin of the prize wheel for the chance to win slot spins, bingo cards, bonus or loyalty coins.  Again, this is generally more entertaining and engaging than what’s on offer elsewhere.

Mobile play can be done via the Pick Me Up! Bingo app or by visiting the website using your phone’s web browser.  Either way, the clutter free lobby works very well on a mobile device.

Banking is a slightly weak area; the range of payment methods at Dragonfish sites is limited and withdrawals are on the slow side.

Final Thoughts

Pick Me Up Bingo is a great addition to Future’s stable of Dragonfish brands and it’s good to see one with a slightly different welcome offer.
