The new Mega Ball game by Evolution (the creators of Dream Catcher and Monopoly Live) has just been launched at many bingo, slot and casino sites including Heart Bingo and Mecca Bingo
How To Play Mega Ball
You’ll find this game in the Live Casino section, complete with live host and chat window, but it is much more like a bingo or lottery game than a casino game. Indeed, at first look it could easily be mistaken for 75 ball bingo as in order to play, you buy what looks very much like 75 ball cards, in lots of 1, 10, 15 or 25 up to a maximum of 200. The resemblance is superficial – although the cards are a 5×5 grid with a free centre square there are only 51 numbers in Mega Ball. Numbers 0-10 go in the first column, 11-20 in the second and so on.
The aim of the game is to complete as many lines as possible on each card and this is completely independent of how many other players there are, how many cards they bought or what their stake level was. The maximum payout in the base game is 10,000x card price for 6 or more lines completed on the same card.
The 20 balls are drawn live on screen using a machine that is a bit like a lottery machine and as they come out, a display shows which numbers are needed to reach which level of payout. After all 20 balls are drawn it’s time for the really exciting bit – the Mega Ball bonus round!
Before the 21st ball – the Mega Ball – is drawn, a giant reel spins to determine the multiplier; this ranges from 5x to 100x and is applied to any card where the Mega Ball number appears on a winning line, bumping up winnings. Occasionally two Mega Ball rounds take place and if you win on both only the higher multiplier is applied.
Mega Ball comes in both Live and First Person variations which means you can play with or without the game show style presentation, live host and chat window.
The RTP of Mega Ball is 95.05% – 95.40% (which is much better than any traditional bingo game) and stake per card starts at 10p. We’ve been excited about this game ever since seeing it demoed at ICE earlier in the year and it doesn’t disappoint – definitely worth a trip to the live casino section to check it out!
