Kitty Bingo is a Playtech powered bingo site with bingo rooms in common with Mecca Bingo.
Kitty Bingo was originally launched back in 2012 and the site looks very different today. It’s always been themed on cats, but as a result of tightening advertising restrictions first the cartoon cats and more recently the cute kittens had to go as there were concerns over strong appeal to minors. On the publicly visible areas of the site, all that remains of the theming is a few pawprints.
The bingo at Kitty Bingo originally ran on Daub Alderney’s own proprietary bingo platform and the site also featured some of Daub Alderney’s own exclusive slot games. As a result of a series of mergers and acquisitions, Kitty Bingo is now ultimately owned by the Rank Group and in 2020, Rank Interactive decided to retire the Daub Alderney bingo product. This was a sensible decision as player numbers had been declining for some time. Kitty was the last of Daub Alderney’s four bingo sites to make the platform change, so it was not much of a surprise when it followed sister site Lucky Pants Bingo on to what’s generally considered to be the Rolls Royce of bingo platforms, Playtech’s Virtue Fusion bingo product.
Rank Interactive also operate one of the UK’s best known bingo sites Mecca Bingo, and Kitty Bingo has many of the same bingo rooms.
Kitty Bingo is particularly well served for 90 ball bingo. There’s five 90 ball rooms including a speed room and two rooms with lots of penny bingo, plus the Virtue Fusion specials Age of the Gods Bingo, Fluffy Favourites Bingo and Deal or No Deal Bingo 90. That’s as well as Playtech’s daily, weekly and monthly jackpot bingo games.
The 75 ball lineup includes Deal Or No Deal Bingo 75 and Spirit Twister as well as regular 75 ball bingo.
Also present are an 80 ball room and Playtech specials Rainbow Riches Bingo (40 ball) and Cash Cubes (a 36 ball single ticket multi stake bingo game).
Kitty Bingo also has three 50 ball bingo rooms that were originally exclusive to Mecca Bingo. Emoji Bingo and Burst Bingo are essentially the game single ticket multi stake game with different graphics. BOB is a 50 ball game that’s designed to be fair for all players (by capping the number of players per game).
All of these bingo rooms are busy with decent prize money and lively chat.
The range of slot games at Kitty Bingo is huge, much bigger than you’d think from browsing through the Casino section on the site. That’s because lots of the games can only be surfaced through a search. There’s hard to find Novomatic titles such as Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe and several different versions of the iconic Book Of Ra alongside the usual favourites by Blueprint, NetEnt, IGT, Eyecon, Microgaming, PlayNGo and so on.
As for jackpot slots, at first it looks like there aren’t any as there’s no lobby area, but then you find the game filtration button and tick the Jackpots box and suddenly, there they all are – Mega Moolah, WowPot, Red Tiger Jackpots, IGT MegaJackpots, Eyecon Super and Mega Jackpots, Jackpot King, Mega Fortune and the latest thing in progressive jackpots, King Millions from Games Global.
It’s the same with Slingo Games – 55 when you do a search but only 28 in the Slingo area in the lobby. And Scratch and Arcade – the lobby doesn’t include any of several crash games (Aviator, Spaceman, Big Bass Crash etc) or the half a dozen Lucky Tap games.
The same issue is seen with live casino – just 15 games are in the lobby but play around with search and you’ll find extra game shows like Funky Time and Live Extra Chilli Epic Spins.
Kitty Bingo has a promotions page, but there’s nothing particularly exciting on it. Basically, there’s the welcome offer, an ad for the long running Drops and Wins network promotion from Pragmatic Play, and details of various Playtech bingo promotions.
There’s also not much choice of deposit methods – debit card either directly or via Apple Pay, paysafe or PayPal – and the latter can’t be used to claim the welcome offer.
The Kitty Bingo site is fully responsive and most of the games – including all of the bingo games – work just as well on a smartphone or tablet as they do on a computer. In fact some of them – Cash Cubes and Emoji Bingo for example – actually look better on a smartphone! There’s also a Kitty Bingo mobile app.
Going on to Virtue Fusion has been a great move for Kitty and it’s no surprise that it’s proved to be very popular with players. It may not have as many bingo rooms as its big sister Mecca Bingo but it has plenty enough for most people’s tastes, and an excellent selection of slot and casino games as well.
Bingo: 5 x bonus (BOB and Deal Or No Deal excluded)
Slot spins: 2 x winnings from initial spins
Safer Gambling Hub is available as a side bar pop out with details of tools and support plus links to the Rank Group’s dedicated responsible gambling web site for even more comprehensive coverage. Safer gambling tools at Kitty Bingo include the facility to set a daily, weekly or monthly Net Deposit Loss Limit which puts the brakes on what you can lose in each period; it can be shared with Lucky Pants, Mecca Bingo and other Rank sites so that if you hit the limit at one of them, you won’t be able to deposit at any others until the limit resets at the end of the day, week or month. This is not quite the same as a regular deposit limit as it offsets any withdrawals against deposits.
One of the worst sites I’ve ever played! Site constantly crashed. Low jackpots, all around bad.
