Playtech Bingo Arrives At Jumpman

For the last few years, the bingo rooms at Jumpman sites have been powered by Pragmatic Play.  Earlier this year, the surprise announcement came that Pragmatic would not be continuing with the bingo product. Several of the bingo rooms closed during August and Jumpman removed the remaining ones at the beginning of September.  The bingo tab remained in the lobby with a banner saying “coming soon”.   That’s now been replaced with…. drumroll….. Playtech Bingo!

Why Playtech?

Not having any bingo wasn’t really an option as so many Jumpman brands have names that include the word bingo.  With Pragmatic Play out of the picture, Playtech was really the only possible choice for an operator wanting to take bingo even a bit seriously. Other bingo platforms with decent amounts of liquidity do exist – Entain’s for example – but they are not available to third party operators like Jumpman.

A Limited Implementation

It’s Playtech bingo, but not as you know it.

Probably the first thing you’ll pick up on when you go into the bingo lobby at a Jumpman site is – where’s Deal Or No Deal Bingo?  Not included is the answer, and that goes for both 75 ball and 90 ball versions of this iconic game.  Other bingo rooms are also missing (see below for which).

The second thing you’ll notice, as soon as you go into a bingo room – there’s no chat.  And not only is there no chat, there’s no chat window.  Playtech sites normally have hosted chat, but not having it is exactly what you’d expect from Jumpman (they disabled the chat window from the Pragmatic Play bingo software too).

Which Bingo Rooms?

You now can’t actually see which bingo rooms a Jumpman site has without logging in (which is annoying if you’re wanting to check the  site out before signing up). The current lineup is:

• Value Room – a 90 ball penny bingo room
• Age of the Gods Bingo – 90 ball bingo with an occasional bonus feature
• Fluffy Favourites Bingo – 90 ball bingo with an occasional bonus feature
• Spirit Twister – “equal chance” 75 ball bingo (afternoon and evenings only)
• Cash Cubes – 36 ball single ticket multi stake bingo
• Clover Rollover Bingo – 50 ball single ticket multi stake bingo
• Bouncy Balls Bingo – a 60 ball multi stake bingo game where you hold a single strip of differently sized tickets
• Playtech’s 90 ball daily, weekly and monthly jackpot games
• Any Playtech seasonal promos that may be running (at the time of writing, that’s “£10K Super Sessions”)

This is very far from being the full range of Playtech bingo rooms.  There’s no Deal Or No Deal Bingo, no regular 75 ball bingo, no speed bingo and no 80 ball bingo.

Essentially, some of the more traditional forms of bingo have been omitted and the focus is very much on bingo games that are themed on slot games and/or play well on a mobile phone screen.  It’s bingo as an entertaining sideline rather than bingo as the main event.

Other Jumpman Lobby Changes

Many Jumpman brands have also added a lobby tab called “Suppliers You Love”.  This groups slot games by provider which is something that has been badly lacking at Jumpman.  It’s not quite as useful as you might think, though.

Not all providers are included – just the major ones like Playtech, Blueprint, Pragmatic Play, Games Global, Light & Wonder, PlaynGo and NetEnt plus a few smaller ones like Nolimit City and S Gaming.  Big Time Gaming, for example, is not included despite having a number of games in the Jumpman library including the classic Bonanza

Only 12 games per provider are shown with no way to see the rest.
