Heart Bingo Goes Playtech

On 27th January 2025 Heart Bingo changed its bingo software from Pragmatic Play to Playtech Bingo.  This is not the first change of bingo software we’ve seen at Heart in the last few years – the Pragmatic Play bingo rooms had only been in place since autumn 2021 – but given the great reputation and excellent liquidity of Playtech’s bingo network it’s very likely to be the last.

Nothing else has changed on the site – the chat hosts and all of the other games stay the same, you can use your existing login and there’s still a fantastic array of exclusive promotions.

What’s New

The new line-up of bingo rooms is as follows.

• Feel-Good Bingo aka the network 90 ball room
• Clover Rollover Bingo, a 50 ball single ticket multi stake bingo game themed on Irish Luck (just like the slot game of the same name)
• Deal Or No Deal Bingo 75 and 90 ball rooms
• Disco 80 aka the network 80 ball room
• Fluffy Favourites Bingo, a 90 ball game with an additional feature for some full house winners themed on the classic slot game
• Penny Hits, a 90 ball penny bingo room
• The Jukebox, a 75 ball pattern bingo room
• Vibe With 75, a 75 ball 5 line room
• Turbo Tunes, a 90 ball speed bingo room
• Free Bingo, a 90 ball room that’s open in the evenings with a free game every half hour (this room may be temporary)
• Newbie Room, a 90 ball room that’s open for an hour late morning and early evening, for 7 days after you first open any of their bingo rooms
• Daily Delight, a daily network 90 ball game with a prize pool of £5,000
• Weekly Wonder, a weekly network 90 ball game with a prize pool of £15,000
• Monthly Mix, a monthly network 90 ball game with a prize pool of £100,000

We expect some more exclusive rooms to be added in the coming weeks.

What’s Missing

Heart Bingo no longer has any bingo rooms where you can win slot spins.  The prizes are all cash (apart from in some free games where it’s bingo bonus).  There are still plenty of promotions that include the chance to win slot spins so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem for players.

More suprisingly, there’s no longer any option to buy tickets in advance from the schedule (only for the next game).  Surprisingly, because that is a very well known feature of Playtech’s Virtue Fusion lobby.  What gives?  Well, it turns out that Heart Bingo has a completely new version of the Playtech Bingo lobby which is designed to be super easy to use on mobile phones (while still giving access to the chat window that is one of Playtech’s big strengths).  Neither the lobby itself, nor the layout of the bingo rooms will be at all familiar to anyone who’s previously played at other Virtue Fusion sites.

Does it matter?  Probably not.  The three big jackpot games that players are most likely to want to prebuy for are each located in a room of their own so it’s really easy to buy tickets for those.

Also missing from the bingo room line-up are some of the Virtue Fusion specials, including Cash Cubes, Age of the Gods Bingo and Spirit Twister.  Again, players may not be too bothered about this given that the perennially popular Deal or No Deal bingo rooms are present.

Our Verdict

This move is good both for Heart Bingo and for Playtech.

It’s good for Heart Bingo because they can now bring players huge jackpot games and Playtech features such as Roll On Bingo and escalator jackpots. Heart is managed by BV Gaming and their main site BetVictor also benefits from having these new bingo rooms.

And it’s good for Playtech (who are also going to be rolling the new lobby out to a whole network of casinos that have never had bingo before) because it increases their player numbers which keeps the liquidity high.  That same high liquidity is what enables them to offer the aforementioned huge jackpot games as well as substantial prize pools in their regular bingo rooms.
