3 New Bingo Games At Jackpotjoy

Updated: 1st Aug 2024
Over the last month or so, no fewer than three new bingo rooms have gone live at Jackpotjoy. One is exclusive, and the other two are networked with other Gamesys bingo sites including Double Bubble Bingo.
Joy Bingo
Joy Bingo is a special 90 ball bingo room, introduced to celebrate Jackpotjoy’s 20th birthday (yes you read that right, the site is an astonishing 20 years old).
It’s essentially regular 90 ball bingo with a multiplier bonus feature (or rather two multiplier bonus features, but only one is active in any given game). Most games have the 1.2x multiplier, which is applied to any line or full house win on numbers 1 -20, adding an extra 20% to the win. Currently two games an hour (20 past and 40 past) have the 20x multiplier which applies to any line or full house win on number 20. Joy Bingo also has a Super Jackpot which drops when full house is won in 42 or fewer calls.
The Joy Bingo room is currently open from 7am until midnight with a game every 5 minutes (apart from on the hour and on the half hour when the room joins in Superlinks 90). Tickets are priced at 10p.
Like all Gamesys bingo games, Joy Bingo has Simplified Ticket View. As shown in the screenshot, when you have 3TG or fewer only the numbers you need are shown, not the whole ticket. This can be helpful when playing on a small screen but if you don’t like it you can switch it off in the game settings (accessed by the three dots in the top right hand corner).
Bingo 80
80 ball bingo is not an entirely new innovation at Gamesys; 80 ball games were previously available but only as part of Session Bingo and there was no dedicated 80 ball room. But now that has changed; the new Bingo 80 room is networked across all Gamesys bingo sites and currently runs a game every 4 minutes from 7am until 11pm.
Bingo 80 was certainly worth waiting for; it’s one of the most visually pleasing implementations of 80 ball bingo yet seen. The room has delightful retro theming with the balls pixellated in the manner of an 80s video game, but what’s even better is what happens when the numbers are daubed – the cards are styled to look just like the traditional shutterboards used for 80 ball games in bingo halls, and when you match a number the shutter moves across. This is one you’ll probably want to play with Simplified Ticket View disabled as it rather spoils the effect!
Bingo 80 games are fast paced and each has prizes for one line and full house. Tickets are priced at 1p, 5p or 10p and there’s a progressive jackpot which drops when full house is won on ball number 80.
Superlinks 75
Gamesys have long had 90 ball Superlinks games on the schedule, playing every half hour and linking together multiple bingo rooms at multiple Gamesys sites for more players and bigger prizes as well as running in a room of their own.
Now there’s a Superlinks 75 room as well, but it doesn’t work in quite the same way as 90 ball Superlinks as the games are not served into other 75 ball rooms. It’s a straightforward 75 ball room with all games networked across all Gamesys sites with bingo (this is especially useful for sites like Rainbow Riches Casino where there is no other 75 ball room).
Superlinks 75 currently runs games every 5 minutes round the clock with tickets priced at 10p or 20p. Most are 5 line games but a few are blackout (centre square free, no line prizes). There’s also a Super Jackpot for winning full house in 49 or fewer calls; it’s £2500 in the 10p games and £5000 in the 20p games.
Our Verdict
None of these games are completely new, but all three bingo rooms are great additions to the Gamesys canon. Joy Bingo’s recipe of 90 ball bingo with an extra twist is one that has proven popular with players time and time again, and the other two rooms fill what were significant gaps in the lineup at some of their sites, helping Gamesys bingo go from strength to strength.
