Virgin Games is a Gamesys site with a number of bingo rooms as well as slots, live casino and so forth. There are no wagering requirements on any winnings from the welcome offer (whether you choose bingo or slots) but you do have to play through your deposit in order to claim it.
Virgin Games launched as a real money casino site all the way back in 2003 and was bought by Gamesys in 2013. Since then, the Virgin name and logo have been used under licence. The site has gone through several design changes in the years since then, as Gamesys took time to decide what to do with their bingo product (which wasn’t, at that time, mobile friendly) and with Virgin Games itself.
In 2015 the site was relaunched with the emphasis very much on the casino side of things. The regular promotions were almost all for slots and poker and although there were still a few bingo rooms they were not given any prominence – especially on mobile. In 2018, Gamesys got rid of all bingo bonuses and switched all of their sites to a free spins welcome offer; at some sites there was an alternative free bingo tickets offer but instead of adding this at Virgin Games, they removed the bingo altogether.
The following year, however, the bingo was not just back, but back with a vengeance, complete with said free bingo tickets welcome offer and more bingo rooms than before. And in 2024, bingo remains an integral part of Virgin Games.
There’s a choice of two welcome offers at Virgin Games (one for bingo and one for slots) and BEFORE making your first deposit you will need to opt in by selecting the offer you want; once you’ve made the deposit you have 30 days to complete £10 of cash play after which the offer of your choice will be credited. The free spins are for a specific game and the bingo tickets can be redeemed in any bingo room apart from Session Bingo, in any game with a ticket face value of £1 or less (but only just before the game starts – they can’t be used for prebuy). Anything you win from either of these offers will be in cash.
Exclusive bingo games at Gamesys include the 90 ball variant Bubble Up Bingo and there’s also Session Bingo 4 times a day. That’s on top of two 90 and one 75 ball bingo rooms, Superlinks, Superlinks 75, Bingo 80 and the daily and weekly Play Off Palace. So not quite as many as at flagship site Jackpotjoy, but plenty enough to keep any bingo lover happy.
Gamesys were late to the party with mobile bingo but this has long since been resolved and the bingo rooms work well on all devices.
The Gamesys approach to slot games is quality rather than quantity; they aggressively curate and prune and have mere hundreds of games rather than the thousands you will find at some other sites. What you WILL find at Virgin Games is pretty well everything you might actually want to play. Cleopatra, Rainbow Riches, Big Bass Bonanza, Twin Spin, Immortal Romance, Extra Chilli, Book of Ra Deluxe, Fishin’ Frenzy, Spartacus Gladiator Of Rome and Shaman’s Dream are just some of the all time classics on offer. Then there’s all the Gamesys exclusive slots like Around The Reels In 80 Wilds, Paper Wins, various Double Bubble games and Secrets of the Phoenix (to name but a few).
Virgin Games also has a range of Slingo, casino and live casino games (including Deal Or No Deal Live, Mega Ball, Vegas Ball Bonanza and Cash or Crash) on site, and there’s a Poker section with lots of regular cash games and tournaments to enter.
Apart from the choice of four daily bonus games which are open to all players who have ever made a deposit, most promotions at Virgin Games are for invited players only (presumably based on level of activity). They tend to be free spins or prize draw offers, and free spins at Virgin Games really are free spins, with winnings paid in withdrawable cash.
Like other Gamesys sites, Virgin Games runs free Slot Masters tournaments from time to time, with cash and/or free spins to be won.
The only real weakness of Virgin Games (and of all Gamesys sites) is the lack of choice of payment methods. Essentially, you’re stuck with using a debit card (either directly or via Apple Pay) which may or may not be an issue for you.
If you don’t mind using a debit card to deposit and like to play a bit of everything (and chat while you do it), Virgin Games could be very much the site for you, especially as there’s Apple and Android apps for safe and secure mobile play.
Opt in to your chosen offer when you make a first deposit of £10+ then play through £10 on any game to receive:
N/A – winnings paid in cash
The Responsible Gambling page at Virgin Games includes links to all their safer gambling tools and a video introducing them all, plus lot of advice and helpful links. Along with other Gamesys brands they are included in the operator’s Advanced Level 3 certification for safer gambling.
