Progress Play Casinos

What is a Progress Play casino?
Progress Play is a casino content provider that has been in business since 2012. They offer a white label gaming platform which has enabled a large number of smaller operators to open fully featured online casinos with the licence held by Progress Play themselves in both the UK and Malta.
The Progress Play platform works on both mobile and desktop devices and was one of the first to do so. Progress Play casinos have slots from a large number of different providers including smaller operations such as Rabcat, Thunderkick, Elk Studios and Big Time Gaming as well as the ubiquitous NetEnt, Microgaming and Scientific Games.
In 2023, Progress Play began working with even more game providers and notable additions to the lineup during this period were Playtech and Pragmatic Play. At the same time, a new version of the lobby was introduced (about time as it hadn’t changed much in years!) and older Progress Play casinos were gradually switched over; the process was completed the following year.
Many Progress Play casinos also have a sportsbook and these have proved very popular with players. In 2025, a bingo lobby with Playtech bingo rooms was added at most Progress Play sites.
Are Progress Play casinos all the same?
Although Progress Play casinos are basically skins, they are certainly not all the same. They don’t all have the same welcome offer, for a start – some focus on a straightforward deposit bonus and some include bonus spins. Although they mostly have the same slot games, the other three lobby areas (bingo, live casino, sportsbook) may or may not be present. A few Progress Play casinos actually change their welcome offers from month to month, offering bonus spins on whatever’s hot.
What do Progress Play casinos do well?
If you enjoy bonus spins offers Progress Play casinos have a great deal to offer. Examples of some of the regular network promotions they have run in the past are:
- Monday Madness – a deposit bonus code sent by email
- Wednesday Wildfire – bonus spins sent to selected players via email
- Weekly Surprise – mystery login bonus for selected players (to be eligible they had to have made a deposit in the last 14 days and played in the last 8 days)
- Happy Hour – a bonus spins deposit code that could be used up to 10 times each Sunday
- Games of the Week – a set of deposit codes for bonus spins on the slots of the week
Progress Play also run one off promotions and apart from the occasional leaderboard, prize draw or cashback promotion these mostly centre on – you guessed it – bonus spins. The Progress Play casinos that also have sportsbooks have promotions themed on different types of sports.
What else do I need to know?
Although Progress Play casinos feature a lot of deposit bonus and bonus spins offers, the standard network wagering requirement has historically been rather high at 50x, the expiry time for spins offers is rather short at 7 days, and there are limits on what you can win (3x max conversion on all bonuses and £20 for spins offers).
Now that wagering requirements are capped by law at 10x, the number and quality of promotions they offer may drop significantly. If that happens, it kills one of Progress Play’s unique selling points. So far, Progress Play casinos have responded to the new rules by doing some or all of the following:
- Reducing the percentage bonus e.g. cutting the offer from 200% bonus to 100% bonus
- Reducing the maximum bonus that can be claimed e.g. 100% up to £100 becoming 100% up to £25
- Reducing the max conversion to 1x bonus (and in some cases to £5 for spins)
Option 3 seems to be the most common so do make sure you read the terms and conditions properly when signing up at a Progress Play casino!
Another thing to be aware of is that in the case of slot games whose Return To Player is configured by the casino from a range of possible values, Progress Play’s selected values are typically towards the stingy end (though by no means the worst out there). For example, the RTP of Book of Dead when played at a Progress Play casino was just 91.25% when last checked. You can check all of their Return to Player settings in the Game Payouts document which is linked from the footer of the casino home page, but we recommend checking in the game help files to ensure you have the most up to date value.
The Return To Player of slot games can change and may not be the same at all casinos. Please check the in-game documentation before playing for the correct RTP figure.
