Watch My Spin was launched on the Nektan platform (now Grace Media) in 2019. It moved to Progress Play in 2023.
WatchMySpin was purely a skin site before the platform change and so it is after. It’s a big improvement though; even without an attached sportsbook the Progress Play platform has much to recommend it over the Grace Media platform, especially following the change to a new lobby design for 2023.
There isn’t very much going on in terms of theming; it’s just your average online casino and it has a blue and purple colour scheme. So, while it’s not the most interesting casino to look at, it’s still a perfectly fine site that’s easy to navigate. My only issue with the general design is their use of animated banners and tiles; it’s a personal bugbear but I find it really distracting and it tends to slow down the site.
Like all Progress Play casinos, the registration process is simple with just three short forms. The age and ID verification are also baked right into the process, too, so it all goes by very quickly. There’s just one issue; the mobile verification pop-up is a little bit delayed. It appears within an hour of you registering rather than right away so you might find yourself waiting a little while.
The new slots lobby at Watch My Spin is arguably far superior to the minimalist Grace Media lobby it previously had. For a start, there’s simply more games by a bigger range of providers. Like most other sites on the Progress Play network, Watch My Spin has over 4,000 games that players can choose from, with a selection of games from both large-scale studios and more independent brands.
This is always a major green flag for me, since you tend to see many casinos load up their game lobbies with the best-known games from the biggest studios – but that cuts out a lot of more experimental games which usually come from the smaller producers. So, it’s great to see that Watch My Spin strikes a good balance – with plenty of games from Pragmatic Play, Inspired Gaming, Play’n GO, Playtech and ELK Studios.
The jackpot selection is also a lot more varied than it was on the previous platform. Instead of only having Eyecon jackpots, there are now lots more options with progressive games from Playtech and Red Tiger now thrown into the mix.
The site gives you the ability to search for games by name or by provider, which is helpful if you’re already well-versed in the online casino market. Someone who’s been around the block a few times will know which providers and slot games to look up but new players will need a little more help.
This is where the Featured Category comes in. The team behind Watch My Spin have curated a nice selection of games that would be good to start with if you’re not very familiar with which online slots are good choices. I can definitely tell that they know their stuff because games like Big Bass Bonanza, Call of the Wild and Book of Dead are included in here; however, at the time of writing this review in January, there were still loads of Christmas games in the section, so it doesn’t seem to be maintained very often even if it has some good suggestions of which games to check out.
But, even though the selection of seasonal games is a little outdated, that doesn’t carry over to the New Games section. This area is updated almost daily with fresh new slots that you’ll be able to play at Watch My Spin on the day that they are pushed live by the software providers
Another great feature in the slots lobby is the ability to easily mark games as your Favourites. Click on the little heart symbol and that game will be stored away for easy access by being put in its own category on the homepage.
Generally, the Slots lobby is very intuitive and user-friendly. On any game tile, you can select to play the demo or the real-money version of the game, and you can even click on the provider logo to see more games from the studio. The only things I’d like to see added are summary screens for each game so you can check out the game features before opening them up and just a couple more categories to push players in the direction of trending features.
One very obvious improvement I noticed from the change to Progress Play is in the range of player promotions. There’s a constant stream of cashback offers and leaderboards as well as an array of deposit bonus codes and spins offers, some ongoing and some seasonal. Most of the bonus codes can be used multiple times, which really suits the type of player that likes to make frequent deposits.
It’s really nice to see that the operator always has something going on. It’s such a disappointing feeling when you go to a site’s Promotions page and there’s just two offers – one of which is just the Game of the Week with no free spins attached to it. You don’t ever get that at Watch My Spin; the site really takes care to ensure that its promotion selection is always stacked with several options. Most of the bonuses here come with a 50x wagering requirement; it’s not the highest I’ve seen but it’s definitely on the higher side of things.
There’s also a fun Missions platform, where completing certain tasks will earn you stars that you can cash in for free spins and other bonuses in the ‘Store’. It’s a new approach to a loyalty program that’s more gamified and honestly more interesting.
In terms of payments, Progress Play also offers a good choice of deposit methods including mobile phone billing (although there’s a charge for this) and a Help Center with an extremely comprehensive FAQ which has been updated following the platform change and goes into detail about matters such as how to verify your account.
Going beyond the slots, there’s a live casino by Evolution and Playtech and a big selection of scratch, lotto, virtual sport and other instant win games in the Casual area of the lobby. The new lobby makes it even easier to find games as there’s now the option to browse all the game providers and see all of the games by each one.
Watch My Spin has made a solid transition to the Progress Play platform, with the standout improvements being a much better organised lobby, a wider game selection and a more interesting promotions system. I found the site’s design to be fairly standard but I can’t fault the usability since the navigation is quite intuitive and handy features like Favorites are available.
The promotions are really where the site shines, with plenty of ongoing bonuses and a gamified Missions system that adds an extra layer to the experience. However, the 50x wagering requirements on most bonuses are on the high side.
Overall, Watch My Spin is a good choice if you enjoy a variety of slots and actually appreciate a big range of promotions. The platform upgrade has made a noticeable difference to me, and while there are still some areas for improvement, I’d say it’s much stronger now.
50 x bonus on slots (some games excluded). Cash play not counted.
“Play Responsibly” page supplied by the network covers the basics. In addition to the usual safer gambling tools they offer wagering and loss limits.
