3 New Bingo Games For 2020
-
Updated: 14th Aug 2024
New Year, New You! – it’s a bit of a worn out cliche, but some of the best bingo sites are clearly taking it seriously as we have news of not one, but THREE brand new bingo games for 2020 (four if you count the new daily bonus game that tombola will be debuting on January 13th).
The Voice UK Bingo at Buzz Bingo
The Voice UK is a new TV tie-in 80 ball bingo room which is exclusive to Buzz Bingo, currently open 8am – 10pm with tickets priced from 2p. It resembles games such as the Gala Coral exclusive Coronation Street Bingo in that there is a bonus jackpot game. When bingo is won on a number which appears on one of the four coaches’ chairs at the top of the play area, that number is marked off and the full house winner of that game collects a £5 prize. When all four numbers are marked off the chair rotates and the full house winner (or winners) of that game collect the jackpot – £50 in the case of the first three chairs and £500 in the case of the 4th chair.
The new room seems pretty popular with players – especially as we visited at a time when the jackpot could drop in any game! If you do find yourself playing in a situation where only one number is required for a jackpot to drop, don’t forget to make sure that you have a least one ticket that includes that number – you’ve got to be in it to win it!
As part of the tie-in deal, Buzz also have an exclusive The Voice UK slot game.
Housey Bingo at Virtue Fusion
Housey Bingo first appeared at Sun Bingo and has now been rolled out to some other Virtue Fusion bingo sites including Gala Bingo (where there is a daily £1000 sharepot promotion, running until the end of January, for everyone who plays £5 or more on the new game during the day). It is a multi-stake playing card based bingo game. This may appear to be a new product from Playtech but in fact the 52 ball game engine has been knocking around for a few years, first seeing the light of day in the form of the Royal 5s bingo game which was launched at Mecca Bingo at the end of 2016 but failed to catch on with players. The new version of the game is visually more pleasing and has a less silly (but smaller) progressive jackpot than the Mecca version did (£500+ for 7 calls as opposed to £5000+ for 6 calls) and, at least for the moment, the room seems to be much busier than the Mecca room was. Stake levels are from 5p – 40p.
Fun fact – Housey-Housey is of course another word for bingo, but apparently plain Housey means something quite different!
Cash Out Bingo at Foxy Bingo
Cash Out Bingo at Foxy Bingo is 90 ball bingo with an original and brilliant “Deal Or No Deal” style twist. When the game is about to end, the game is paused for 35 seconds before the last call takes place for all players with 1TG to be shown how many other players have 1TG and how much money is in the “Cash Out” pot. Players with 1TG have the opportunity to hit the Cash Out button and collect a share of the pot instead of playing on in the hope of winning full house. The one drawback is that in order to enjoy this game fully, you need to give it your undivided attention and (especially if playing on mobile) that may not be possible. The room is open from 9am daily with the last game of the day playing at 22:54 and ticket prices are from 5p to 15p. Cash Out Bingo does not have any line prizes – it’s all about the full house and 1TG pot.
We think all three of these games are great additions to the repertoire of online bingo games, especially as the tickets are so keenly priced. In the absence of new bingo sites, players still have the opportunity to try something new.
