The Phone Casino has been around for almost as long as the iPhone. It’s designed to work brilliantly on any type of mobile phone and also on other devices.
The Phone Casino is operated by Small Screen Casinos Ltd which has offices on Alderney; it’s regulated by the Alderney Gambling Commission as well as by the UK Gambling Commission. A peek at the Gambling Commission licence reveals more than 60 websites associated with it, but most are inactive. So you may very well not have come across this particular casino platform before, even though it’s been around for years.
The registration process at The Phone Casino is easy but there are a couple of things to be aware of:
You weren’t expecting that, were you! The Phone Casino has bingo rooms by Pragmatic Play including network 75, 80, 90 and 30 ball rooms, daily and weekly jackpots, the Reels Room where you can win slot spins and the Pragmatic Play specials Diamond Dazzle, Bingo Blast and Animingo. There’s no chat window; instead, there are extra minigames.
Nearly 3000 slot games are available to play at the Phone Casino, all presented in a lobby that’s been optimised for mobile phones. The main Slots page has a few choice new releases at the top then everything else in alphabetical order (and such is the number of games that you need to scroll down a fair distance just to get to letter A!). There’s some fairly heavy duty search tools to help you find games you’d like to play amongst this embarassment of riches:
There’s no information about the games in the lobby beyond what’s on the game tiles, so it’s very helpful to have these search tools.
To find the Return To Player of the slot games you need to open the game in question and check the in game help files; we did this for Starburst and were delighted to find (at the time of writing in October 2024) that its RTP was set at the top level of 96.09% (rather than the 94.05% or 92.05% you might find elsewhere).
There’s a lobby area called Skill Games which contains several crash games plus a few lotto and minesweeper style games. The Keno lobby has various video bingo games as well as keno itself. The more than 60 Slingo games have their own lobby as do scratchcards.
The Phone Casino also has a live casino area with live dealer roulette, blackjack, baccarat etc plus some game shows.
The Phone Casino’s website is full of mentions of “100 Free Spins Everyday – No deposit required” but it is important to understand that the 100 spins are not real money. Basically, you can play 50 tournament spins twice a day on the Small Screen Casinos exclusive game “Mr Wonga”; the winnings are not paid out to you but instead determine your position on the day’s in-game leaderboard. Score highly enough and you’ll win a prize. Some of the higher value prizes are only available to depositing players, but most can be won by anyone. You can also win a spot prize of real money free spins. Immediately after playing your second 50 tournament spins, you’ll be offered the opportunity to claim more tournament entries by making a deposit.
There’s also a huge array of deposit offers awarding free spins on different games: be aware that just as in the welcome offer you need to play your deposit through a specified number of times (typically 2 or 3) before you can claim the spins. Further promotions are run on social media.
The Phone Casino offers a good range of deposit methods, but most of the deposit offers are only valid for debit card and bank transfers.
The Phone Casino combines some very entertaining gamification with an excellent range of slot and casino games – well worth checking out if you’ve not tried it before!
Spin value 10p, game not specified (but there is a picture showing Big Bass Bonanza)
No wagering requirements on winnings from welcome offer spins (but you do have to play through 2x your deposit in order to claim them.
The Phone Casino has a Responsible Gambling page which is linked from the hamburger menu on the casino home page. It’s basically a policy statement with some outside links and doesn’t contain information about the safer gambling tools that are available, but you can find that in the FAQ. It’s the usual deposit limits, reality check, time-out and self-exclusion, with no extras.
