Until August 2016, Sun Bingo ran on the Gamesys bingo network. Then, along with sister site Fabulous Bingo (named after the Sun’s lifestyle supplement) it moved to the Virtue Fusion / Playtech bingo platform. The move was carefully handled so as to be a good experience for players, retaining much the same look and feel and preserving most of their regular promotions, and gradually introducing Playtech bingo specials. It’s had a number of design upgrades since to keep it fresh and maximize usability on modern devices.

Today, the site is still known for its outstanding player promotions including prize draws and bonus games and its exclusive bingo variants. New for autumn 2025 is a live stream bingo room that’s open three evenings a week.

Sun Bingo runs so many promotions that it can be difficult to get your head round all of them! There’s prize drops, leaderboards, deposit offers, 4 hours of free bingo every day and various stake and get offers. And that’s just the regular promotions – they also run big themed promotions from time to time such as the All Star Hotel Weekend which gave players the chance to win tickets to an exclusive event and was run in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

If you’ve played at other Playtech sites you may be surprised to find that at Sun Bingo, some of their free spins promotions including the slot welcome offer carry a wagering requirement and the play order is cash first (so you won’t start to play with your bingo bonus, which has a 4x wagering requirement, until there’s no cash in your account).

Final Thoughts
