Like all Progress Play casinos, Mr Jack Vegas operates in the UK through a UK Gambling Commission licence, though Progress Play itself is based in Malta.

The site was originally launched back in 2017 but has been redesigned several times since then. The latest upgrade resulted in a cleaner design arrangement that merged the standard neon and dark tones nightclub theme with a modern video-game style interface and overhauled the tabs.

One of the main reasons for the redesign was the addition of slot games from Playtech, which had not been available previously. The site has now also added Playtech bingo, but there are no Playtech live casino options (or indeed any live casino games at all).

Progress Play is a long-established player in the European casino sector and as you’d expect, the home page displays responsible gaming, security and fairness credentials, displaying accreditation from SSL provider Sectigo and data protection organisation, the PCI Security Standards Council, along with the usual links to safer gambling organisations. The people behind Mr Jack Vegas have many years of experience running slots and bingo sites on other platforms including Dragonfish, as well as having a string of other Progress Play casinos.

Getting Started at Mr Jack Vegas

Registering for an account at Mr Jack Vegas involves the standard online form. Click on the blue Sign Up button at the top right of the home page and you are invited to complete three pages of forms with the usual identity details, before clicking Submit. You don’t have to verify your identity until its time to make a withdrawal, but it can be a good idea to get it out of the way.

The site design is simple but effective. There are eleven different categories, available through the Games tab on the left-hand side of the home page, or by scrolling down the home page through each category, and the game panels themselves are presented simply with minimal clutter.

There is an option to search by provider as well as by game name. Navigating around the site is generally smooth, although the Games side-scrolling menu relies on clicking tiny dots to move it left and right, which is fiddly, particularly on small screens.

Bingo at Mr Jack Vegas

One welcome development with several of the Progress Play brands is the addition of a bingo section, provided by Playtech, and it definitely adds another dimension to this site.

There are 14 bingo rooms offering 75, 80 and 90-ball bingo plus specials including Deal Or No Deal Bingo and Clover Rollover Bingo, with prizes ranging from £40 up to £100,000 for the Monthly Extravaganza game. There’s also opportunities to play low cost bingo, as the Lucky Lane, Fish & Chips Frenzy and Bingo Bonanza rooms offer £0.02 and £0.01 tickets.

Most of the game rooms are playable with free tickets (obtainable via promotions), and there’s a moderated chat facility so you can talk to your fellow players, along with 36 mini games. Bingo may not be a headline product at Mr Jack Vegas, but overall, we enjoyed the bingo experience here.

Slots at Mr Jack Vegas

Mr Jack Vegas has around 2,500 games in total, and 2,000 or so of those are slot games, drawn from 57 different providers, although the games are not spread evenly between those developers (for example, we came across a big selection from the Play n Go back catalogue, but only four titles from Big Time Gaming).

There are some unusual omissions, most notably IGT, but most of the big slot titles and franchises are represented, from Starburst to Book of Dead, and if you’re a fan of the Big Bass series, there are around 20 variations on that particular fishy theme. We were also pleased to see that most of the slots are available to verified players in demo mode, which is useful for newbies.

Jackpot lovers can choose from just under 130 games, including Mega Moolah, Age of the Gods and many other high-profile progressives, and the Casual section is a treasure trove of unusual scratchcard, crash and instant titles.

Fans of traditional casino games, however, are going to be disappointed here. The Casino section offers just 38 table games, all of them variants of roulette and blackjack. Surprisingly, there is no live casino section here, which is rare in a modern casino site. We tried using the search bar and searching by provider, but with no luck, and we couldn’t find any poker, keno, sic bo, video poker or baccarat games either.

Other Things To Consider

The promotions on offer for regular players are above average for a UK-facing site, including multiple reload bonuses, related to specific slots, offering deposit match bonuses combined with a number of bonus spins. There’s also a regular slot tournament offering prizes of bonus spins every week, which was based on the Medusa Madness slot at the time of our review. These promotions are not the usual Progress Play network promotions, but are unique to Mr Jack Vegas and sister sites.

The Rewards section has the feel of a modern gamified programme, with a variety of missions available to complete in order to move up six tiers of rewards, though there isn’t much depth to it, and the rewards appear to be limited to bonus funds and bonus spins.

There are no mobile apps to download, so mobile players have to use their mobile browser to access the site. Generally, there are no problems across different devices and operating systems although as mentioned above, the side-scrolling home page menu can be fiddly when you’re on a small screen, and older smartphones may struggle to provide the smooth navigation transitions that are noticeable on the desktop version.

Customer support is a mixed bag. If you click on the Support option, you gain access to the comprehensive FAQ section. This features over 100 articles covering all of the main areas of common queries, and we found it impressive.

Getting in touch directly with the customer support team is a little trickier, however. You have to locate the small blue or pink icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the home page and then go through a chat bot before you have the option of sending a message. We found no evidence of an easily accessible interactive live chat facility or an email option, which is disappointing.

Final Thoughts

As a game platform, Mr Jack Vegas is a strong performer. The range of slot titles is impressive, there is a good variety of jackpot and obscure games to choose from, and the bingo section is far better than we’ve come to expect with slot-focused casino sites.

There are problems, however. Casino gaming is almost completely absent, and the lack of live dealer games is a strange oversight. The customer support system needs an overhaul, as does the rewards programme, and the wagering requirements are on the high side compared to sites that are able to offer x35 or x40 playthrough figures.

For a site that was launched over seven years ago, it stands up well against the competition, but more work is needed to bring it into the top tier of UK casino platforms. Nevertheless, if your main interest is slots and bingo it’s worth a look, especially as the welcome offer is so competitive.
