Dukes Casino is a Progress Play site with bingo by Playtech but (perhaps surprisingly given the name) it doesn’t have any live casino games.
Dukes Casino is a casino and bingo site whose owners already run a string of other sites on the same Progress Play platform including Queens Bingo, Vampire Bingo, Jazzy Spins and BetDukes. They have masses of experience with bingo and slots, having run a number of Dragonfish sites in the past, and have previous for creating their own promotions instead of going with what’s supplied by the network.
Progress Play themselves have been around for nearly 15 years and the platform has stood the test of time on both mobile and desktop devices. One side effect of the great usability on mobile is that the theming at this casino is so light as to be pretty well non existent, because no-one wants overly elaborate theming taking up valuable space on a phone screen.
Sign-up at Dukes Casino is quick and easy and if you’ve played at a Progress Play site before (as so mnay of us have) you will know what to expect. Basically there’s three things to bear in mind.
The bingo at Dukes Casino and other Progress Play casinos is excellent, due to their deal with the market leaders Playtech.
Open the lobby (only possible after login) and you’ll find there’s more than a dozen bingo rooms to choose from including regular, speed and penny 90 ball rooms, 5 line and pattern 75 ball rooms, and an 80 ball room. You can also enjoy a number of Playtech specials; Deal Or No Deal Bingo is present in both 90 ball and 75 ball versions along with Bouncy Balls Bingo, Clover Rollover Bingo and Fluffy Favourites Bingo.
To cap it all, Playtech run daily, weekly and monthly big money bingo games in rooms of their own to make it super easy to pre-buy tickets.
That’s not the only way to pre-buy; the pre-buy tab in the lobby lets you quickly buy tickets for any game due to take place in the next two hours and you can use the filters with the calendar to home in on any games in the next month. Filter on time, type of bingo, feature and/or ticket price.
A sinlge hosted chatroom covers all bingo rooms at all Progress Play casinos.
Also in the bingo lobby, you’ll find a great selection of slot games by Playtech and Eyecon. You can play them as minigames inside a bingo room, or as full screen from the Games part of the bingo lobby.
Dukes Casino offers an absolutely enormous selection of more than 4000 slot games from pretty well every game provider you can think of (Relax Gaming is the most notable omission), and new titles are added every few days so you’re never going to run out of games to try out.
Having said that, it’s not that easy to find games. Why? Because there’s not a lot of categorisation of slot games in the lobby – apart from new games, progressive jackpots and slot games by Playtech (you’ll find these in the Vegas lobby area), they are all lumped together in the Slots lobby area in no discernible order and with no option to sort or filter. The Providers part of the lobby does split games up by provider, but the providers are not in any particular order and the games aren’t in any order under each provider, so you’re still going to have to do a lot of scrolling to find what you want.
If there’s something particular you’re looking for, you can use the search box to search on game name or provider. It returns results when you’ve typed in just two characters, which is quite helpful.
Another issue is that the game tiles in the lobby don’t have much information on them, and the game tiles in search results have no information at all beyond the tile itself. The lobby tiles let you see the provider, add to your favourites, launch the game or a demo version (for logged in players only), but if you want to find out the Return To Player, volatility or anything about the game features you’ll need to load the game up and look in the help files (and you should, because some of the games at Progress Play sites have RTP that’s on the low side, for example 90.19% on Fluffy Favourites and 93.05% on Starburst).
On the other hand, the pared down nature of the lobby means it is clutter free on a mobile phone screen which is good news if you play a lot on mobile.
Progressive jackpots include Age of the Gods, Red Tiger daily jackpots and many titles by Eyecon, with more than 180 games in this section altogether.
Dukes Casino doesn’t offer any live casino games, but there’s still a decent choice of other types of non slot games. The Casino lobby area has nearly 100 games including themed roulette games (9 Masks of Fire, Breaking Bad, Space Invaders) and various forms of blackjack and baccarat. The real innovation is to be found in the Casual section which has more than 200 titles including crash games, scratchcards, tap and win, lotto, plinko and video bingo.
The promotions at Dukes Casino look excellent, with an ever changing array of deposit offers most of which can be claimed multiple times. Do read the terms and conditions carefully, though, as most of them have a rather low maximum conversion and although the wagering requirements are reasonable, there is a very long list of games that don’t contribute (which you can find linked from the terms and conditions on the Dukes Casino website).
There’s an excellent range of payment options and most of them can be used to claim the welcome offer (Skrill and Neteller are excluded from promotions). However, there’s a fee for all withdrawals.
As at all Progress Play casinos, support is delivered via “live chat”. You’ll see the chat bubble when you are logged in and in the Account or Cashier areas of the website. Open it and you’ll be shown frequently asked questions in case that resolves your issue. Start to chat and you’ll be connected to a chatbot. If the chatbot cannot help you’ll be invited to submit a ticket after which a real person gets back to you.
It seems a bit weird for a casino brand not to have any live casino games, but if slots and bingo are your thing and you’re looking for a site with plenty of deposit offers, Dukes Casino could fit the bill.
At Best New Bingo Sites all of our reviews are completely honest and written by industry experts. We aim to present all our offers as transparently as possible with a full explanation of the terms and conditions. We receive commission from the sites we feature and this may affect how prominently they appear on our site and their position in our listings.
10x bonus, 10x winnings from welcome offer spins – many games excluded, see list on site
Dukes Casino has the standard Progress Play “Play Responsibly” document which is linked from the site footer (so not exactly prominent). It’s a bit of a wall of text and isn’t easy to digest.
The actual provision is good. As well as the mandated deposit limits, reality check, time-out and self-exclusion they give you the opportunity to set daily, weekly and monthly wagering and loss limits. You can also set session limits on your account.
