King Kong Cash Go Bananas - Slot of the Month
-
Updated: 2nd Jun 2023
King Kong Cash Go Bananas is our slot of the month for May. It’s the fifth entry in Blueprint’s celebrated series (if you exclude the scratch card game) and comprises five reels, ten pay-lines and an assortment of features.
Highlights include a four-mode cash collect system and free spin multipliers. It’s also part of Blueprint’s Jackpot King Deluxe Bonus network which features two progressive jackpots.
Theme/Visuals
The first King Kong Cash slot was of course a classic. Visually stunning, highly playable and potentially very lucrative thanks to that progressive jackpot network, KKC was a huge hit. KKCB is of a very similar ilk in the looks department.
Once again, we’re in the jungle with the reels decorated with the same characters and icons found in the first one. But the attention to detail, particularly with the jungle background is much improved.
How to Play King Kong Cash Go Bananas
KKCB is a left-to-right, medium to high volatility slot. The aim is to land five symbols across one of the ten pay-lines. Playing card symbols make up the low value symbols while various jungle creatures represent medium to high value symbols.
At the top of the food chain is the tiger that pays out 100x your stake for five-of-a-kind combination. Next is the crocodile (20x your stake) followed by the rhino and birds (10x your stake).
Out of the playing card symbols, the ace and king pay out 7.5 x your bet if you land five of them across a pay-line. These are followed by the queen and jacks who pay out 5x your bet.
A wilds symbol is also in play that substitutes other symbols to hopefully create winning pay-lines. It can also appear stacked thus boosting your chances of landing a five symbol combo.
Cash Collect Feature
This is the standout feature of KKCB and can be triggered from the base game. To trigger it, you’ll need to land a Collect Kong symbol on reel five together with Banana Cash symbols which appear on the first four reels.
The Collect Kong symbol then expands to cover its reel, collecting all cash values present. When the final amount is calculated another Kong Collect symbol gets activated. Cash Collect remains active during free spins and can trigger one of four modifiers: Collect Kong, Respin Kong, Boost Kong, Super Collect Kong.
Collect Kong collects all money symbols in view, while for Respin Kong, the first four reels re-spins once all values have been collected. Boost Kong boosts your winnings once all values have been collection and
Super Collect Kong collects all visible values as much as ten times.
Free Spins
Free spins are activated by landing scatter symbols on the second, third and fourth reels. You’ll then receive 10 free spins, while the modifiers remain active. A progress meter also comes into play during free spins.
To move along it, you’ll need to land Kong Collect symbols. When you do, various rewards are unlocked. These include extra spins and win multipliers of up to 10x.
Jackpot King
During the base game, the Jackpot King Bonus is active and can be activated with any spin. Manage this and you’ll get the opportunity to win a multiplier a progressive jackpot as part of the Jackpot King network.
The Regal and Royal pots have starting sees of £5000 and £500 respectively and its possible to see their values at the side of the game area.
Conclusion
King Kong Cash Go Bananas is a solid entry in Blueprint’s celebrated series. Although the game doesn’t exactly set the world alight when it comes to innovation, the integration of Fishin’ Frenzy mechanic offers an interesting twist to the actual gameplay.
But the main highlight here is that Cash Collect feature with its potential 250,000x pay-out. It helps too that the chance of winning a progressive jackpot is present on every spin.
