Red Bus Bingo is a Dragonfish bingo site that’s been around for more than 15 years and despite a recent redesign, it’s showing its age. The welcome offer is for slots not bingo.
Themed on an iconic red London bus, Red Bus Bingo was originally part of the “Joy Of Bingo” network of Dragonfish bingo sites along with the much better known 888Ladies. Owned and operated by 888 Holdings, the network was known for its VIP scheme and high end promotions (including a sliding jackpot bingo game with an albeit extremely small chance of winning £2 million).
By 2020, the site was looking rather neglected due to the removal of many of the promotions including the VIP scheme, and part of the theming (which was cartoon heavy).
In 2021, the sale of 888’s entire bingo operation to Broadway Gaming was announced and Red Bus was one of the house owned bingo sites that was transferred. It’s escaped the consolidation process that has seen so many Dragonfish sites closed in the intervening years and is back for 2025 with a snappy new design.
The home page with its illustration of a Routemaster bus looks great but part of the effect of the redesign has been to make Red Bus Bingo into pretty much a one page site; if you want to know what games there are beyond the 60 or so illustrative slot and Slingo game tiles on the home page, or anything about bingo or promotions, you need to log in.
So what lurks in the lobby?
Red Bus Bingo has several Dragonfish network bingo rooms, most with tickets priced at 5p each. As of July 2025 these include:
There’s one free bingo room; it’s a 90 ball room with small cash prizes and only players who have deposited in the last 14 days are allowed into the room.
Sometimes Dragonfish put on extra bingo rooms with fixed prizes as part of seasonal promotions.
Dragonfish don’t have a game schedule you can buy tickets in advance from, but you can use the Express Buy facility to buy tickets for upcoming games without having to go into the bingo room which is helpful, especially if you’re playing on your phone.
The bingo rooms all have a range of minigames you can play in between or during bingo games, and some have chat (but usually only at busier times of the day).
There’s around 600 non bingo games inside the Red Bus Bingo lobby. Most are slot games but there’s also a decent selection of Slingo games and a few instant win games (you need to know exactly what you’re looking for to find these, however, as there’s no lobby section for them).
The game categorisation is minimal, with sections for New Releases (we’ll come on to that in a minute) and Jackpot Slots but little else. All of the jackpot slots are by the same provider, Eyecon, but not all are connected to the same jackpot; you can see in the lobby how much the jackpot each for each game and at the time of writing one of them, the Mega Jackpot, is into 6 figures which while not on the scale of Mega Moolah and its ilk is still quite impressive.
The New Releases does indeed have some new releases, but it also has some back catalogue games that Dragonfish have only got around to adding months or years after they come out. They seem to be better at adding games in a timely manner with some providers – Eyecon, Slingo Originals, Games Global – but not so much with others (there are lots of Big Bass games but not the most recent ones).
If nothing catches your eye in either of these sections or in A-list (a few of the most popular games) or Scorching Slots (a Games Global showcase) you can either use the search bar (if you know the name of the game you want) or else look through the Complete List which doesn’t seem to be any particular order and can’t be filtered or sorted.
Don’t bother searching for any casino or live casino games, though – there aren’t any at Red Bus Bingo or indeed any other Dragonfish site.
Red Bus Bingo has a loyalty scheme that’s shared across all Dragonfish brands that are owned and operated by Broadway. You can collect coins by playing bingo and/or slots at any of the sites in the group and redeem them at any of the other sites in the group for slot spins, bonus, free bingo tickets or even cash.
Other promotions (typically cashback or deposit based spins offers) can be found in the Offers part of the lobby while logged in.
Dragonfish bonuses are easy to understand (you can use them on anything that isn’t labelled Real Money Only in the lobby) and the wagering requirement isn’t too bad, but the downside is the short 5-day expiry.
Red Bus Bingo is not a particularly exciting place to play either bingo or slots, but if you already know and love the Dragonfish software you may want to give it a go.
At Best New Bingo Sites all of our reviews are completely honest and written by industry experts. We aim to present all our offers as transparently as possible with a full explanation of the terms and conditions. We receive commission from the sites we feature and this may affect how prominently they appear on our site and their position in our listings.
30x bonus on slots, some games excluded (these are marked Real Money Only in the lobby)
Red Bus Bingo has the same Safer Gambling page as all other Dragonfish sites. It’s well presented with plenty of advice and links to helpful organisations as well as explaining the safer gambling tools. As well as the usual deposit limits, reality check, take a break and self exclusion they offer “spend limits” but on closer examination these seem to be net deposit limits rather than wagering limits.
