About PlayUK

PlayUK began life back in 2018 on the Nektan casino platform and was one of the first online casinos to trial the Pragmatic Play bingo product, but its life on that platform was a bit of a rocky road, because Nektan was sold to Grace Media in 2020 and evolved significantly under its new ownership. When Grace Media rolled out a new lobby in the summer of 2021, operators needed to choose between two versions: a bingo focused version and a slots focused option, and the owners of Play UK chose the latter so the bingo rooms were removed.

PlayUK survived the wave of closures of Grace Media casinos that followed, but in 2025 there came another new lobby rollout that was quite frankly a diasater. Not only did it result in Grace Media casinos going offline for more than two weeks, the range of slot games was drastically cut down.  A second outage followed a year later, this time because of a cybersecurity incident in which player data was leaked.

Who can blame any brand owner for having had enough after all that?  PlayUK’s owners plainly had, as it abruptly moved to the Progress Play platform not long after the second outage.

Not only did this massively increase the range of slot and casino games on offer, it brought in a sportsbook.  Bingo has also finally returned, but this time it’s the industry leader Playtech supplying the bingo rooms.  A HUGE improvement all round, in fact!  The new version also LOOKS nicer.

Getting Started at PlayUK

PlayUK uses the same registration form as all other Progress Play casinos; it’s quick and easy to fill in but you’ll need to have your phone available if you using a different device to sign up, becuase part of the process is SMS verification.

Also be aware that if you’ve played at other Progress Play casinos, you may have hit the limit of 5 casino welcome offers and not be able to claim the slots welcome offer here.

Bingo at PlayUK

Playtech’s partnership with Progress Play brings in a fantastic selection of bingo rooms, with one chat room to cover them all.

• There’s several 90 ball rooms giving you a choice of regular and speed bingo and ticket prices as low as 1p.
• Two 75 ball rooms give you the choice of pattern or 5 line versions, and there’s also an 80 ball room.
• You can play Deal Or No Deal Bingo in 75 or 90 ball format.
• Playtech specials include 50 ball Clover Rollover Bingo, 90 ball Fluffy Favourites Bingo and 60 ball Bouncy Balls Bingo. Themed on popular slot games, these all have innovative gameplay features.
• Playtech run daily, weekly and monthly jackpot bingo games with very substantial prizes.  They run in their own rooms so it’s super easy to pop in and buy tickets to the next game even if it’s days or weeks away.

You can also prebuy for other games up to a month ahead of time by using the filters in the Prebuy part of the lobby to zoom in on what you want.

A selection of slot games from Playtech and Eyecon can be played without needing to leave the bingo part of the site; you can find them as minigames while in a bingo room or go to the Games part of the lobby for the full size versions.

Slots & Games at PlayUK

There are more than six thousand titles in the game library at the new version of PlayUK, around 4500 of which are slot games.  That’s an order of magnitude better than what was on offer at the Grace Media version of the site.

Progress Play work with almost all major games providers (Relax Gaming is missing) and you can view games split by the provider in the casino lobby. The search box also lets you search on provider, which is a good thing given the sheer number of games on site.

To find games to play, your first stop should be the New and Featured lobby sections which have about 600 games each. New is self explanatory and Featured showcases all manner of popular and/or interesting games. Pro tip: check the Vegas section if you like Playtech slots as that’s where they live.

If nothing catches your eye in any of these places it’s time to head over to the Slots tab and start scrolling, but with no way to sort or filter these games you could be at it for quite a while!  Alternatively you can use the search box, where you’ll start seeing results when you’ve entered just two characters.  A minor niggle is that while you can add games you see in the lobby to your favourites and in many cases launch a demo version (you need to be logged in to do this), you can’t do either from game tiles in the search results.

Jackpots have their own lobby area with more than 250 games. Age of the Gods, Eyecon Super and Mega Jackpots and Red Tiger Daily Jackpots are the stands here.

PlayUK has many games that are not slots.  In the Casino section, you’ll find many non live dealer versions of roulette, blackjack and baccarat and in the Casual section you’ll find 200+ instant win games encompassing keno, scratchcards, crash games, video bingo and more.

Live Casino has its own top level lobby area with subsections for roulette, blackjack, baccarat and games shows by Playtech and Evolution.

Sports Betting at PlayUK

A couple of notable things about the sportsbook at PlayUK:

• Horse and greyhound racing don’t appear on the list of sports you can bet on on the Event View page; instead, they have their own lobby area where you can choose the region you’re interested in (United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, International)
• Many esports are included but instead of esports appearing on the list of sports, they appear individually at the bottom of the list

Once you get used to these foibles, it’s easy to use. In play betting is available on most sports and esports, and the BetBuilder feature is available on football and many other ball sports.

Other Things To Consider

One slight niggle at Progress Play casinos is that if you don’t have any money in your account, it’s difficult to explore the games library as you will be sent to the deposit screen every time you try to open a game.

Progress Play casinos are known for their array of player promotions, and PlayUK has a number of slots deposit offers that can be claimed multiple times and change every month.  There’s also a range of bingo promotions (mostly Playtech network promotions) and sports promotions (bet and get, cashback, acca super boost).

The range of deposit methods is another thing that has got bigger and better with the move to Progress Play.  Most can be used to claim promotions and while there is a fee for withdrawals, it’s not extortionate.

Player support is via live chat which pops up (along with the FAQ) when you click support, whether or not you’re logged in.  Triage is done by a chatbot which then sends your issue to the correct team.

Final Thoughts

PlayUK’s switch to Progress Play is fantastic news for slots players, bingo players and sports bettors alike.  Absolutely everything about this site is an improvement over the previous version, and the bingo welcome offer in particular is very competitive.
