King Casino is a royally themed casino and slot site on the Aspire platform. The new welcome offer consists entirely of spins on that super popular slot game, Big Bass Bonanza.
Launched in 2019, King Casino sits under the Aspire Global umbrella – a fairly well-known casino platform that powers several other casino brands in the UK including Mr Play and PlayFrank. Over the past few years, Aspire Global has built a reputation for offering simple-yet-dependable platforms, and I’d say King Casino fits in well with that mould.
The site’s name, “King Casino,” obviously sets a bit of a regal tone but has absolutely nothing to do with either the well known social gaming provider, the King’s Casino in Antigua or the King’s Casino Resort in the Czech Republic. In fact, the theming is very low key with just a couple of pictures of people dressed up as medieval knights (in a rather Pythonesque way) and a crown on the casino logo.
The registration process at King Casino is straightforward and is pretty much the same as my experience signing up to other Aspire Global sites. You click on the Join button and then complete a two-step form.
If you’re someone who wants to be mindful of your spending from day one, there’s also an option to set deposit limits during registration (or after, in your account settings).
The main draw for me is definitely the slot collection. Aspire Global platforms are typically well-stocked, and King Casino claims over 1,000 slots. Of course, this isn’t the most amount of slots I’ve seen in one place (some online casinos have well over 4,000!), but the selection is well-maintained with new games added regularly.
You’ll find games from big names in the gaming industry like NetEnt, Blueprint, Games Global and Pragmatic Play, alongside smaller studios like Hacksaw Gaming and Atomic Slot Lab. I like when casinos have this kind of balance because it means there are not only loads of more standard format slots available but also some pretty out-there games with mechanics that really push the envelope.
King Casino hosts a decent selection of progressive jackpots – about 40 in total. It consists mostly of Jackpot King slots from Blueprint Gaming but there’s also a handful of progressives from Play’n GO and Skywind. So, it would be nice to see a little more variety here.
I found the lobby at King Casino fairly easy to navigate. There are standard lobby areas like “Featured,” “New,” “Slots,” “Jackpots,” and “Live Casino,” plus a search bar which you can use to look for games by name if you already know what you want to play.
However, there isn’t any advanced filtering available. Sometimes, I like to browse slots based on their volatility or pick out specific games with scatter pays or increasing multipliers – and, that’s not something I can do here. What you can do, though, is browse by game provider – choose from 40+ game studios on the dropdown list. So, it’s best if you already have a short list of providers you trust or games you want to try.
Alongside slots, King Casino has a very decent live dealer section. Most games are powered by Evolution Gaming, with the more classic titles coming from Authentic Gaming. While I do like games from these providers, I’d have liked to see a bit more variety in the live casino lobby. Pragmatic Play slots are heavily featured in other areas of the site, and it’s disappointing not to have their live dealer games at King Casino too.
King Casino seems to keep its promotions page up to date with a handful of ongoing offers. Although the exact lineup can change, you’ll almost always see Wager-Free Wednesdays (which is exclusive to them rather than being an Aspire network promotion) and leaderboard promotions where free spins are awarded as prizes. They also pad out their Promotions page with network promotions like Drops and Wins from Pragmatic Play and Games Global’s Mystic Masters Leaderboard.
One important thing to know is that there tends to be a £20 minimum deposit requirement for many of the bonuses on the site. Compared to other sites that only require a deposit of £10 or more for players to qualify for offers, it’s a little bit steep. The wagering requirements are reasonable at just 35x but be aware that there is quite a long list of slot games (including all progressive jackpots) that can’t be played with bonus and don’t contribute to wagering.
Something that’s missing from King Casino is a loyalty program, but the main promotions are enough of a draw in some instances. Additional perks might pop up from time to time if you opt in to marketing, so it’s a good idea to make sure you’re signed up for that because you never know when you might get a few free spins thrown your way.
In timers of withdrawals and deposits, King Casino offers a pretty broad range of banking methods. PayPal, debit cards, Skrill, Paysafecard and Trustly are the usual suspects. Plus, Apple Pay is now available, and that’s something you don’t see very often at online casinos nowadays. Another standout I’ve noticed is that King Casino processes its e-wallet withdrawals fairly quickly – sometimes within just a few hours. Bank card or Trustly-type methods can take a bit longer; the site says up to 5 days but cashouts always hit my account within two.
I also like to check out a casino’s support hours when I’m reviewing a site, and King Casino does not have 24/7 live chat. So, if you’re the type who’s up late and you run into a technical glitch at 3 a.m., you’ll have to wait until more sociable hours to chat with an agent directly. Email support is available, but the response time can be 24 to 48 hours.
King Casino has a great range of games and new titles are added several times a week, and unlike most Aspire casinos it’s also got exclusive player promotions, so there’s plenty to keep you entertained. The wagering requirements are also very reasonable, if you take care to avoid the games that don’t contribute at 100%. If you’re looking for somewhere to play slots and a bit of live casino, it could very well hit the mark.
35 x bonus (or spins winnings). Some games are excluded and this includes all progressive jackpot slots.
Aspire standard Responsible Gambling document gives a detailed explanation of how to use the safer gambling tools along with self assessment checklists. As well as the required deposit limits, reality check, time out and self exclusion there’s an option to set session limits but this has to be done by getting a member of the help team to set them for you. The document also mentions autoplay but this is no longer relevant for UK players (autoplay was banned in 2021).
