Jackpotjoy

Jackpotjoy has been around for an astonishing 20 years and is a bit of a national institution.  The earliest versions of the site bear little resemblance to the clean, mobile friendly layout of today.  Far from resting on their laurels, the operator is constantly adding new games and promotions.

The bingo games at Gamesys have a Return To Player of around 80-85% and this is considerably better than on most other bingo platforms.

Bingo tickets can be purchased for the next game or from the schedule up to 24 hours in advance.

All of these bingo rooms have minigames and chat; some are not hosted but it’s easy enough to browse all the chat channels and switch to a livelier channel with one of the lovely chat hosts without leaving the bingo room you are in.  Gamesys also have the very busy Community chat room which appears when you play a free daily game or slot game, and can be switched to from any bingo room.  As for chat games, the ones at Gamesys are really something else; video streams and/or interactive mini games such as Blox appear in a window in the chat panel.

A few years, Jackpotjoy (along with other Gamesys sites) switched to a welcome offer where the only wagering requirement is the need to deposit and spend £10 in order to qualify in the first place.  The offer proved so popular that it has been in place ever since.  The free bingo tickets can be used in most bingo rooms but as they have no specified value, theoretically the best value comes from redeeming them against £1 bingo tickets for a total of £50 worth of tickets. Jackpotjoy also scores really well for player promotions.  Many follow the tried and tested formula of a prize draw with Box Bonanza games to be won (a Box Bonanza is a pick-me game which almost always awards a cash prize) but from time to time they also have sharepots, stake and get promotions, and prize draws with tangible prizes.  To participate in these, you’ll need to be invited.  Everyone has an equal chance of winning in most Gamesys prize draws as they are restricted to one entry per player.  Another signature promotion is the choice of 4 daily free games; these are designed to be played every day for a week and you collect sets of symbols to win free spins or cash.

The only thing that Jackpotjoy was lacking as compared to other big names was a sportsbook, but that has now been well and truly rectified. As the ultimate ownership of Jackpotjoy and sister sites rests with US sports betting and casino giant Bally’s, it was only a matter of time before the excellent Bally’s sports product came to the UK, and now it has.

The site works well across all devices and there’s Android and iOS apps for added safety and convenience when playing on mobile.

The only arguably weak area at Jackpotjoy is that of payment methods; they accept debit cards only.
