Ivy Casino has an interesting and unusual setup; although it’s powered by Grace Media it is not operated by Grace Media and this means it looks completely unlike any other Grace Media casino. The operator of Ivy Casino is Manchester based Betable Limited, and Ivy Casino is a new type of venture for them.

During the 2010s, Betable operated several online casinos, the first and best known of which was Prospect Hall Casino. The way it worked was that when you signed up at a Betable casino, you got a login for the Betable app and this gave you access to all other Betable casinos, current and future. As players could only have one Betable account, player acquisition and retention strategies for Betable casinos needed to be very different to the industry norm and in the event, brand owners were unable to make it work. None of the original Betable casinos are still around today.

For Ivy Casino, Betable have used a back end that’s run by Grace Media but the user interface is unique to Betable (and arguably better designed than the standard Grace Media user interface). Essentially, it’s a “white label plus” sort of arrangement.

Getting Started At Ivy Casino

To register at Ivy Casino, you fill in a form that takes up just one screen. You fill in your personal details including address, phone number and date of birth, set a password, tick to accept the site terms and conditions and privacy policy and have the opportunity to opt into receiving marketing communications via email and/or SMS. That’s all there is to it.

After registering you’ll be shown the deposit options screen to make it easy to deposit right away if you want to, but if you’d prefer to take a look around first you can dismiss it.

Before you deposit, be aware that Ivy Casino has an unusual approach to wagering requirements. Instead of depositing, getting a bonus and then having to play it through a certain number of times in order to be able to take your winnings out, you complete the required playthrough before collecting the reward, which is released as cash. Indeed, Ivy Casino is a great place to sample some lesser known Pragmatic slot games if you enjoy the house style and would like to explore beyond the Big Bass games. Cleocatra, Book of the Fallen, Candy Blitz Bombs, Gears of Horus, Queen of Atlantis, Trees of Treasure and Big Burger Load It Up With Xtra Cheese are some you may like to try.

It’s not all Pragmatic, though – Ivy Casino also has a games feed from Relax Gaming and in fact they are the first UK facing casino to benefit from the new Relax Vantage game aggregation platform. This means that as well as the widely known Relax titles such as Temple Tumble and the Money Train and Money Cart slots, the feed can include some very interesting games from small studios which you’re unlikely to have come across before – Royal Potato, Twisted Turbine and Wild Donuts are just a few of these.

There’s a search box but currently you can only search by game name, so the best way to find hidden gems is to browse through the alphabetical list in the All Games area until something catches your eye.

There’s not much in the way of non slot games at Ivy Casino. The main exception is Slingo, which has its own area in the lobby with around 60 titles, including Slingo versions of popular slot games such as Fluffy, Starburst and Cleoparta that are not otherwise represented at this site. There’s no area for scratchcards or other instant win games and I couldn’t find any games of this type when I searched.

Despite having the word casino in its name, Ivy Casino does not have any live casino games. There’s a handful of (non live dealer) roulette, blackjack and baccarat games in the Table Games area of the lobby, but the emphasis really is very much on slot games.

Other Considerations

Promotions at Ivy Casino appear to be run by Betable rather than by Grace Media; when I checked the promotions page out there was an exclusive prize draw with cash prizes as well as the ubiquitous Drops & Wins plus another Pragmatic Play network promotion. They also promise to send weekly offers and exclusive bonuses to players who opt in to marketing communications; if you didn’t do this when you registered, you can subscribe (or unsubscribe) at any time in your account settings.

Although there’s a choice of several different deposit methods at Ivy Casino there’s currently no prepaid voucher option and the only e-wallet they offer is Muchbetter.

The casino works really well on a mobile phone screen, either via a browser or via the Ivy Casino App which is available for Apple and Android.
