Fabulous Vegas

And who are the people who brought you Fabulous Bingo?  None other than the Sun newspaper, that’s who; Fabulous is their weekend colour supplement which focuses on fashion, beauty and lifestyle.  So right out of the box, Fabulous Vegas offers players the reassurance of backing from a household name.

As you might expect from a casino associated with a fashion magazine, Fabulous Vegas absolutely oozes with style and has lots to keep players engaged and entertained.  Let’s take a closer look.

The Fabulous Vegas lobby (which looks exactly the same regardless of whether you are logged in or not) is split into four main areas as far as the games are concerned – Home, Slots, Casino & Live and Slingo & More.  There are a couple of other (non games) areas which we’ll come to later.

• Slots is pretty self explanatory.  The slot game tiles are organised into themed collections (e.g New, Mystery Drop, Leprechauns, Fruits) each of which can be expanded to view 20 – 30 games.  Jackpots can also be found in this area and they include Jackpot King, Power Play and Age of the Gods titles; in fact, there are more of these than meets the eye as a game search reveals further titles in the Age of the Gods series.
• Casino & Live is for live roulette, blackjack and game shows and the emphasis is very much on the game shows, which are all by Playtech and incorporae live trivia quizzes with audience participation.   There are also versions of roulette and blackjack – e.g. Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Football Roulette, Quantum Blackjack – which add extra jackpots and other elements designed to make these classic casino games more entertaining.
• Slingo & More focuses on instant win games.  As well as 40 or so Slingo games, there’s around 20 scratch and Lucky Tap games.
• As for the Home area, that showcases more games, again in sets of 20 or so (apart from the exclusive Sun branded games – there’s only 5 of those).

All of these lobby areas are essentially shop windows and just as there’s always a lot more choice inside a shop than there is when you look in the window, so it is at Fabulous Vegas. Play around with the game search facility (as we did when looking for more Age of the Gods titles) and you’ll soon realise that there are hundreds more games just waiting to be discovered – if you know the name of the game you want or are prepared to search on random letters or words.

The other two lobby areas are for Promotions and Safer Gambling.

Promotions at Fabulous Vegas are many and varied.  As well as the free and premium versions of their daily spin the wheel game, when we visited there was a prize draw, a sharepot, a slots stake and get offer and a banner for Playtech’s Live Trivia quiz game.

The Safer Gambling part of the site is the same as what’s linked from the site footer, but including it in the main lobby navigation gives it much more prominence which shows they take it seriously.

So you’ve decided to sign up at Fabulous Vegas, now what?  The registration process is fairly easy and it’s good to see that the offer appears on the registration form so you don’t have to remember it. However, there are a few minor pitfalls:

• The phone number space is pre populated with the UK country prefix +44, but you will need to delete this and put your phone number in without it as otherwise it won’t be accepted.
• Password security could be better – passwords have to be 5-10 characters including letters and at least one number, with no special characters allowed.
• Disappointingly, when you opt into marketing communications there is no option to opt into SMS without also opting into phone calls.
• After registration you go straight to the deposit screen which shows all available deposit methods without a reminder that debit card is the only method you can use if you want to be able to claim the welcome offer.

Once you’ve registered and deposited, you’re ready to claim the offer and here, there is one more very important thing to be aware of.  The bonus and spins can ONLY be used, and the wagering requirement completed, on the 16 Eligible Games.  There’s a list of these in the Key Information panel but do check on site as well just in case they have changed.

Fabulous Vegas, then, is a stylish and nice looking site but has a few idiosyncrasies that some players may not like.  If you are a fan of the Playtech slots that the bonus can be used on, and like a lobby that curates selections of games for you, it could be right up your street.
