Blackjack City is an online casino from White Hat Gaming that’s big on blackjack and other table games, but also has a huge range of slots.
Blackjack City, which was launched in 2023, is operated by White Hat Gaming (a well respected operator who was amongst the first to obtain a full UK licence for remote casino back in 2014) and owned by Casimba Gaming who also run a string of other White Hat gaming sites including Barz and Dream Vegas as well as Casimba itself.
As you’d expect from the name, Blackjack City puts the emphasis very much on blackjack, roulette and other table games and the slot games are positioned far less prominently; the carousel is right at the bottom of the page and the lobby tab for Slots starts offscreen and has to be brought into view by sideways scrolling. Nevertheless, the welcome offer is for slots and none of the other casino games count towards the wagering requirement. Good thing they have a lot of slot games then!
There are more than 2500 slot games available to play at Blackjack City, from more than 100 different games studios, and they are all jumbled together in the Slots area of the lobby. To find games, there are several options
If you still don’t know what to play, the “Play A Random Game” menu option will suggest a game for you, complete with a respin button if you don’t like the first one you are shown.
Blackjack City doesn’t have a lobby area for progressive jackpot slots, but there are plenty of these games on offer; a search very quickly turned up Wowpot, Mega Moolah, Jackpot King and Dream Drop.
What about non slot games? There’s a number of scratchcards, Slingo games, Lucky Tap games, video bingo and crash games but none of them have their own lobby areas so the only way to find them is to use the search box.
The Blackjack City lobby has separate areas for blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker and game shows and there’s also an area for High Stakes. All lobby areas allow you to filter on All Games, Live and Non Live so you can pick a game depending on whether you feel like playing with a live dealer or not.
The live casino providers are Evolution, Pragmatic, On Air and Authentic Gaming, so there’s an excellent choice of trad casino games, but the site is a bit light on game shows (especially as not all of the game shows they do have show up in the Game Shows lobby area – Mega Ball and Vegas Ball Bonanza, for example, are only in the main Live Casino area).
The promotions page at Blackjack City has what looks like some very nice prize draws with substantial amounts of cash and luxury holidays to be won, but the deposit and wagering that is required to qualify and collect tickets means they are really only suitable for big spenders. For everyone else, there’s a daily bonus wheel game which is open to all depositing players.
When I visited there was also a weekday promotion on Evolution blackjack, in keeping with the theming of the site.
Mobile usability is excellent; on a phone screen the main menu moves from the top of the screen to the bottom, but has all of the same items as it does on the bigger screen making it super easy to locate and play casino games while on the go.
Support is also excellent – the live chat pop-up is easy to find and use on all devices and there’s links to read the FAQs and to check if there’s any free spins in your account that you can use without actually starting a chat.
Blackjack City is a very nicely presented site which is clearly aimed at players whose main interest is blackjack and live casino, and it does indeed have a good range of these types of game (though perhaps not the biggest). It’s a shame the welcome offer isn’t usable on any of these games but with so many slot games to choose from, even players who aren’t normally into slots are bound to be able to find something they want to use it on.
40x(deposit+bonus) on slots (excluding progressive jackpots), scratchcards or keno. There is a list of excluded games on site, plus a much shorter list of around a dozen games that only contribute at 20%.
The Responsible Gambling Policy lays out the safer gambling tools that are available to players. As well as the usual deposit limits, reality check, time out and self exclusion Blackjack City has a couple of extras:
There’s also a section on how to check your account history, plus a self assessment test and links to various sources of help.
