Bet St George’s raison d’etre is “celebrating English sport” with a “brand that reflects a modern, inclusive English identity”.  It is run from the same Sheffield offices as another Playbook site, Bresbet, but has its own independent UKGC licence which was issued in December 2025.

Getting Started at Bet St George

The main thing to be aware of when registering at Bet St George is that you need a code to claim the casino welcome offer and it’s a registration code not a deposit code, meaning that you must use it during the sign up process and not wait until you make your first deposit.  You should find the code prefilled but if the box is empty you’ll need to put it in.

During registration you’ll be given the opportunity to set deposit limits and to proceed you need to confirm that you are happy with your choice (even if it was not to set any deposit limits).  You’ll then be shown the cashier screen so you can make a deposit right away (but if you don’t want to, you can skip past it).

Bet St George verified my account seamlessly with no need to send ID documents at this stage, but if you aren’t on the electoral roll and/or don’t have an established credit history, you may need to.

Sports Betting at Bet St George

The sportsbook at Bet St George is similar but not identical to that at other sites on the Playbook platform.  There’s an excellent range of markets and your most recently viewed sports appear above the A-Z Betting menu.

There’s plenty of ways to laser focus on the bets you are interested in.  For example, in the Football section you can select the competition from a drop down A-Z list, but as the World Cup and UEFA Champions League are close to the end of the alphabet it’s great to see that there’s also lobby filters where you can quickly view today’s matches, tomorrow’s matches and split by UK List, European Elite, European List, Rest of World, Outrights and Specials. You can then cycle between different types of bet including match result, BTTS and under/over 2.5 goals.  Meanwhile the Bet Builder tool is always present on screen.

Other sports also have the dropdown for selecting the competition and filters where needed. As a motorsport fan I was very pleased to see a whole range of different bets available for an upcoming Formula One race including winning margin, fastest lap and various combos as well as winning driver and winning team.

The St George Specials tab is where you’ll find all today’s boosts and special bets.  When I visited horse racing, cricket, football, golf and snooker markets were included, all with an English focus. For example, in the football section you could bet on individual players to make the England Wold Cup squad and on England’s stage of elimination and in the golf section you could bet on individual English golfers to win a major championship in 2026.  The curation of these England themed bets is a really nice touch that makes Bet St George different from other sportsbooks.

The In Play tab pulls together all currently available in play bets on all sports so you can find them quickly.

Sports promotions appear in a carousel in the main sportsbook area rather than on a dedicated promotions page.  As well as the St George Specials, when I visited there was a weekly bet and get a free bet promotion.

For those times when there’s no live sports, the Virtuals tab has virtual football and golf plus horse, greyhound and car racing.

Games at Bet St George

Bet St George has launched with games from just two providers, Leap Gaming and Pragmatic Play, and right now the selection of games is quite small.  You’ve got the really popular titles – Wolf Gold, Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza, half a dozen Big Bass titles – plus some like Hot Tuna and Hammerstorm which are less well known.

We understand that many more games and providers are going to be added in the near future, just as they have been at other Playbook sites; Elk, Blueprint, Hacksaw, Inspired, Relax Gaming, Wazdan and Peter and Sons are some of the game providers we expect to see putting in an appearance.  It’s unlikely that they will include any progressive jackpots, however, as none of the other sites on the Playbook platform have them.

There’s no live casino as yet, but in the meantime you can enjoy RNG roulette and American and Multihand blackjack.

The Bet St George licence includes remote bingo so it’s possible that could put in an appearance later on as well (if it does, we expect it to be Pragmatic Play and just bingo rooms, no chat).

There’s a search box for finding games but you’re unlikely to need it until they’ve added lots more games.  In the meantime you can tap or click on the little heart icon on a game tile to add it to the Favourite Games lobby area. The games tiles also have an info icon but the panel they pop up just contains a bigger version of the game tile with links (for logged in players) to play the real game or a free demo version.

Your most recently played games (including ones where you only played the demo version) also show up at the top of the lobby when logged in.

Other Things to Consider

Despite being a largely sports betting focused site, Bet St George has some nice looking regular casino promotions.  At the time of writing in March 2026, there’s a stake and get free spins offer that runs every weekend on various slot games, weekly free spins which you can collect if opted into their marketing and the Knight Club which is another weekly stake and get.  They also participate in Pragmatic Play’s long running Drops &Wins promotion; there’s a lobby area for that so you can see all the qualifying games in one place.

Press the Help button for customer support; it works whether or not you’re logged in. The first option is to search the FAQ; it’s comprehensive and well written so you may well find what you’re looking for there. The second option is to fill in the contact form, which includes the facility to take a screenshot of an issue and/or upload files (useful if you need to send them ID).  You can also email them using the address in the FAQ.

Unfortunately there’s no choice of deposit methods – the only one accepted is a debit card.

Final Thoughts

Although the casino at Bet St George is still in its infancy and doesn’t have much choice of games, we expect improvements in that department very quickly.  If you’re looking for a UK facing independent sportsbook and casino, the delightfully English vibe of Bet St George could be just the thing.
