Play 4Free at Tombola, A New Daily Game

4Free is Tombola’s brand new free daily game, replacing the match-3 game Trio. Like its predecessor and the earlier games Worlds and Stars, it can be played twice daily, once at Tombola Bingo and once at Tombola Arcade. 4Free has an even bigger prize fund than previous games, with £40,000 up for grabs each week – orders of magnitude more than there is to be won any free daily game at any of the other UK bingo sites. As with previous Tombola daily games, you must be opted into SMS messaging to play as you’ll be sent an activation code every Monday for the coming week.
Of all the daily games that Tombola have yet produced, 4Free is the one with a look and feel closest to a classic bingo game. The game card has the number 1 -28 arranged in 7 groups of 4, each of which has an associated fixed prize – £5, £10, £20, £50, £500, £1000 and £5000. Mark off all 4 numbers in a group and you win that prize.
15 of the 28 numbers are called in each game and you can choose whether to release them manually one a time or automatically (by pressing and holding the “Tap For A Call” button). If you choose to release one at a time, you can manually daub to release the next number, or auto daub by tapping for a call. As each game card features all 28 possible numbers, you’ll be able to daub a number on every call.
4Free’s predecessor Trio was launched just a few months ago in January and we’re surprised to see it replaced so soon, but it can’t be denied that the new game is much more playable. Trio was a simple match 3 scratchcard and although it had a number of different themes that could be chosen to make the game less boring, this actually needlessly complicated things because scratching off the card required different actions depending on which theme you chose – some had to be tapped, some swiped and the third alternative, we never got the hang of at all. 4Free is much more interactive and exciting, especially when you’re 1TG for the top £5000 prize!
For the last couple of years Tombola have sponsored I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, and the daily game has been removed during November to make room for I’m A Celebrity promotions (followed by the Tombola Advent Calendar) but for 2020 this is all rather up in the air as the show is being filmed in a Welsh catle rather than the Australian jungle, which would render the “Tombolabugs” characters out of place to say the least! Even if Play4Free does go on hiatus in November and/or December, we would expect it to return in January 2021 as it’s so new.
At Best New Bingo Sites all of our reviews are completely honest and written by industry experts. We aim to present all our offers as transparently as possible with a full explanation of the terms and conditions. We receive commission from the sites we feature and this may affect how prominently they appear on our site and their position in our listings.
How are the numbers drawn for the 4free games? Are winners already chosen to win that week or are they called the same as all the other bingo games? Seems all winners are already randomly chosen to win rather than numbers randomly called by the number generator.
Indeed, it’s basically an instant win game that’s been styled to look and play like a bingo game.
