Mecca Bingo Live From Studio M

Live From Studio M is a fabulous live entertainment show on Mecca TV, every Monday to Saturday night in February from 8pm until 10pm.  It’s running in three of the bingo rooms at Mecca Bingo – Main Event, Penny Lane and Rollercoaster Bingo – alongside the regular bingo schedule which has been jazzed up with some enhanced prizes.  Live From Studio M features celebrity guests, lots of laughs and the chance to win up to £1500 cash live on air.

During each show, they’ll give out the code of the day which players can enter in the bingo lobby up until 9.45pm to indicate they’d like to participate in the live interactive games.  If you’re chosen to participate, they’ll call your mobile number so better make sure it’s up to date and you’re ready to answer the phone!  There’s even the opportunity to win an extra prize of £25 cash by shouting “Show Me The Money” when you pick up the call.

Here are some of the games you might be asked to play:

Higher or Lower – the player has to guess, for each of the 5 cards they are dealt, whether it will be higher or lower than the card on display.  They win a cash prize for each correct guess and the game ends if the card’s the same value as the one on display.

Guess the 10 on the Board – the player has to guess the 10 covered answers on the subject at the top of the board to win cash prizes

You Say It, We Pay It – the player has to answer 6 questions and gains 10 seconds for each correct answer.  The number of seconds they collect is the number of seconds the presenter has to explain 10 pictures to a guest in the studio; the guest scores points to award prizes to the player.

Mecca Match – the player has 30 seconds to fill in the missing word.  Up to 5 people in the studio will also play, and the player wins a prize for each match they have with someone in the studio.

Mecca Cash Square – the player has 30 seconds to answer as many questions as they can, then gets to choose a cash square for each correct answer.  Before the cash in the squares is revealed, the player must choose whether to keep the squares or gamble. The cash is then revealed and if they kept the squares, they win that cash.  If they chose to gamble, they are given one last question to answer; they win £1500 if they get it right and nothing if they get it wrong.

Mecca Memory Game – Presenter 1 shows 20 pictures to presenter 2, then asks the player 6 questions.  For each correct answer the player gives, presenter 2 gets 5 seconds of time to remember as many pictures as possible. For each picture remembered, the player wins a cash prize.

As well as all of the live games and fun, some of the evenings have even more extras.  Every Friday is Chatterbox Bingo with regular presenter Lisa and special guest Kate Thornton.  The Saturday shows have special themes; last week was Bonkers Bingo and this week (February 13th) it’s the turn of Players Bingo, which is based on fabulous retro gameshows.  Mecca say we should expect glitz, glamour and live music – it’s bound to be a winner!
