Bingo Specials
At Playtech bingo sites, a series of escalator jackpot promotions are running every Wednesday and Sunday in May. Unlike in many previous versions of the promotion where the escalator moved up gradually over the course of an evening starting at 6pm, this time they’re not messing around – each escalator only lasts an hour (starting at 8pm and 9pm) and in each case there’s £12,500 to be won. As usual, the jackpot is split 50/50 between the full house winner of the game in which it drops and the rest of the tickets in the game. But WHERE are these escalator jackpots running? It’s definitely the network 90 ball room on Wednesdays with the ball count starting at 33, and the network 5 line room on Sundays with the ball count starting at 43, and in each case going up by one every 5 minutes when a fresh game starts. But one site mentions Deal Or No Deal 75 and Fluffy Favourites Bingo as well, so maybe those rooms will come into play later in the month. UPDATE: The escalators in the DOND 75 room are running on Mondays, but they are much smaller at £5000. The £5000 Fluffy Favourites escalator is just the one which runs every month on the second Saturday (in this case 11th May). And at Buzz Bingo, there’s an extra escalator promotion in their live bingo room on both Bank Holiday Mondays (again with much smaller jackpots, of £100 to £1000).
Entain bingo sites have the usual monthly £150K Bingo Games. This is not a single big money game, but three sessions of 90 ball bingo games to be played in a special bingo room close to the start of the month. Tickets are priced at 10p for each game and the prize pools are £2000, £6000 or £10,000. The £6K and £10K games have Roll On prizes as well as lines and full house. This month, they run on 2nd, 3rd and 4th May.
At Pragmatic Play bingo sites the May Mash-Up bingo room is open from 5pm till 8pm, Thursday till Sunday every week in May. Tickets for these 90 ball bingo games are priced from 1p to 5p and the room showcases features such as XTG and Roll On.
Standout Promotions
At Heart Bingo there’s a cornucopia of bonus games (5 Boxes, 6 Wheels and several others) that can be activated by opting in and playing a specified amount on the featured game or games. Most are activated by playing £20 but at one end of the scale there’s a free one and a £2 one, and at the other end of the scale there’s a £100 one, so truly something for everyone.
Until 5th May at Mecca Bingo, there’s a prize draw with 15 top prizes of pairs of tickets to the Mecca Summer Party, including overnight accommodation. The event is to take place on 6th July at The Queens Hotel in Leeds. There’s hundreds of runner up prizes of bingo bonuses (with a 1x wagering requirement and 7 day expiry) and everyone who enters and doesn’t win a prize will get 10 free bingo tickets. Players get one entry for each £10 played on bingo.
Sun Bingo is the new home of Britain’s Got Talent Bingo, and until 19th May there are some promotions to celebrate. There’s enhanced prizes in the Britain’s Got Talent bingo room from 8pm to 9pm on Saturdays (with tickets priced at 10p rather than the usual 5p) and you can also play the Britain’s Got Talent Superstar slot game to collect free bingo tickets, and Britain’s Got Talent Bingo to collect a bonus for the slot game.
At PlayOJO there’s a new free daily game, Cash or Crash. As the name suggests, it’s a crash game, the first of its kind to be free to play.
The most off the wall promotion for May? It has to be tombola’s Catch of the Day (in connection with the launch of their latest spin game Gone Fishin’)! Until May 6th, there’s the opportunity to win a year’s supply of fish and chips via their Facebook page (in the form of 12 x £40 Just Eat vouchers).
New Bingo Games
Clover Rollover Bingo is new at Playtech bingo sites including Betfred Bingo and Buzz Bingo. It’s a single ticket multi stake 50 ball game (25p, 50p, £1 or £2) with a bonus collection feature and multiplier jackpot feature, and the theme will surely be familiar to anyone who’s ever played slots at a UK bingo site.
Pragmatic Play’s recently launched 50 ball game Animingo continues to be popular with players; the room is currently open from 9am till noon and 7pm till 11pm .
At Foxy Bingo there’s a brand new 50 ball game, Fishin’ Frenzy Bingo. Themed on the classic slot game, the numbers appear on fish which are caught and pulled up to the boat when the matching number is called. Designed so players win little and often, it’s a single ticket game with a fixed price and only 5 players (currently) per game; rather than running at fixed times a game starts as soon as 5 players have bought a ticket. You can also see how many fish each of the other players have caught. There’s a 25p room and a £1 room.
New Slot Games
The new Games Global progressive jackpot King Millions is now available to play at Rank Digital sites including Mecca Bingo and Mecca Games as progressive versions of the Gameburger Studios slots 9 Pots of Gold, 9 Masks of Fire and 9 Mad Hats. The King Millions Grand Jackpot, which is seeded at £2 million, currently stands at more than £4 million and there’s also a King Millions Major Jackpot which is seeded at £1 million. Having this size of jackpot significantly impacts the Return to Player in the base game – for 9 Masks of Fire it’s just 86%, with a jackpot contribution of 4.5%.
The latest game in Pragmatic Play‘s Big Bass saga is Big Bass Secrets of the Golden Lake. It’s got even higher volatility than other Big Bass games and 94.07% RTP at the site we played at (always check the RTP in the game documentation as with modern slot games, it can be different at different sites). It’s a version of Big Bass Bonanza that’s themed on Arthurian legend (yes we know that makes very little sense, but neither did Big Bass Day at the Races!). As in Big Bass Splash, there’s a respin feature if you spin up two scatters; they move down a row at a time (unless one’s already on the bottom row, in which case no respin). You can also bet 1.5x to increase your chances of triggering the bonus round but you’re probably still going to be waiting a long time. There’s two bonus rounds, by the way, and one has greater potential than the other.
Immortal Romance II is expected to be released later in the month by Stormcraft Studios, a mere 12 years after the original It will continue the backstory of the four iconic characters from the original game and is packed with cinematic features. Each character even has their own theme song.
Other notable sequel games that have recently come out are Tombstone No Mercy from Nolimit City (find it at bet365) and The Goonies Megaways from Blueprint Gaming (widely available)
