PlayUK was one of the first Nektan sites to add the Pragmatic Play bingo product along with a bingo acquisition offer back in 2019 and it came as a bit of a surprise when it was dropped in 2021.

Why was it dropped? It’s because the classic Nektan lobby was set up so that sites could have both bingo and slots offers and promotions, switching between them automatically when you selected bingo or slots categories in the sidebar, but this is not the case with the new lobby which started to be rolled out to Grace Media sites in summer 2021. There’s a bingo version of the new lobby which shows all the bingo rooms when you first arrive together with a bingo focused welcome offer, and a slots version without bingo rooms and with a slots focused welcome offer.  PlayUK was one of the sites that went for the slots version, so bye bye bingo rooms.

Another change that’s come along with the new lobby is the addition of a tab called Welcome Slots and this is exactly what you think it is, a selection of slot games that you can use the bonus on.  In fact you HAVE to use your welcome bonus on them; there’s around 20 titles including classics like Fluffy Favourites, Wolf Gold, Bonanza, Fishin’ Frenzy and Rainbow Riches so plenty to keep you entertained.

The only other tabs in the lobby are New, Popular, Megaways and All Games so you might think that PlayUK is a slots only site with no table games (and no progressive jackpots).  In fact, there’s a decent selection of live casino games by Evolution (featuring both game shows and the more usual roulette, blackjack etc) but you need to scroll a long way down in the All Games tab or use the search facility to find them.  Indeed, as the games in every tab are in what looks to be a random order (albeit with titles from the same provider clustered together) you really need to know the name of the game you want or you’ll never be able to find it amongst the hundreds of others (we still haven’t been able to find any progressive jackpots).  In this respect, the new lobby is a bit of a let-down.  In terms of looks and usability across all devices, on the other hand, it’s a big improvement.  The very fact that they have a new lobby design also bodes well for the future of the Grace Media platform.
