Mr Green has been around for the best part of 20 years, but this is a completely new UK version of the iconic brand run by a fresh operator. If you had an account there before, you’ll need to sign up again (and can claim the welcome offer).

About Mr Green

He’s back…….. The man beneath the green bowler hat, the self proclaimed gentleman of the gaming world where “good betiquette” is an art form. Well ok in the UK anyway, in many other countries he never left. I can hear you all saying, “now hold on a minute, this casino platform has only just shut down”….. and yes you would be right.

In fact, Mr Green has had so many twists and turns you could turn it into a limited series on a popular streaming channel. I will be brief – Mr Green originally opened its doors in 2008, the creation of 3 Swedish entrepreneurs. It evolved into the full package with an added sportsbook and bingo products in 2016 and 2017 respectfully. They even sponsored Celtic and Wigan football teams also dabbling in some darts sponsorship. In 2019 Mr Green was sold to William Hill who subsequently were then purchased by Evoke, (the company behind the 888 brand of gaming platforms) in 2022.

In other twists and turns, in recent years the previous operator of the Mr Green brand has been fined (a substantial sum of money) a couple of times for failing to comply with certain licence conditions by the Gambling Commision. It was all too much for the green suited man and he decided to shut his virtual casino doors within the UK in 2024. Now we know it wasn’t for too long! Mr Green is back with a new operator on a fresh licence (without the bingo or sportsbook at the moment), on the Playtech backed platform Virtue Fusion (who also deliver Sun Bingo and Fab Bingo). But watch this space as this could maybe change in the near future especially the bingo side.

My first impressions is how rather elegant their new platform looks. They haven’t changed their instantly recognisable logo of the man himself standing with a cane in a distinctive green. Of green and white design on both desktop and mobile, Mr Green the gentleman is located around the platform mainly advertising ongoing promotions. Towards the right is your account area and across the top or within the 3 white lines are links to various categories of games. There are also quick links to help centre and responsible gambling which are extremely easy to find and are great to see. It does feel all very neat and tidy, let’s take a closer look under the bonnet.

Getting Started

As this platform has closed and then reopened none of its original customers have been migrated, so the great news is that if you signed up in the past, you will need to sign up again and with this comes a great new welcome offer. The main games provider here is Playtech so if you love Age of the Gods or Fire Blaze titles you’re in for a treat. Final Thoughts

Having had an account at the previous incarnation of Mr Green I was disappointed when it closed and it’s good to see this platform back in a slightly different form. Now delivered by Virtue Fusion, I’m sure there will be some form of bingo on the horizon. This updated version is good on the eye and laid out very well. With some good ongoing promotions and the chance to sign up all over again, this casino is undoubtedly worth visiting, especially if you enjoyed your time here in the past.
