If there was a prize for the bingo site that has changed bingo software the most times, Chit Chat Bingo would win it.

Originally running on proprietary bingo software, it then went on to the GTECH platform.  If you haven’t heard of that, it’s because it closed more than 10 years ago; in July 2016 Chit Chat Bingo was relaunched as a Dragonfish network bingo site.  That’s two software changes, but we are nowhere the end of this convoluted history as in 2024, the site moved again.

This time, it wasn’t driven by a platform closure, but by Dragonfish owner Broadway Gaming taking white label bingo sites back in house.  While several of Chit Chat Bingo’s sister sites were handed back (losing all exclusive bingo rooms and promotions in the process), Chit Chat itself and sister site UK Bingo moved on.

Next port of call was the Grace Media platform, with bingo rooms powered by Pragmatic Play. But that wasn’t to last either; in spring 2026 Pragmatic announced that they would be retiring their bingo and sports betting products to concentrate on slots and casino and if Chit Chat Bingo wasn’t to become Chit Chat No Bingo, it had to move again.

The final software change was to Playtech bingo rooms on the Progress Play casino platform – a vast improvement actually, combining a very well respected bingo product with a massive choice of slot games.

While Chit Chat Bingo’s name suggests that it is affiliated with a gossip magazine, it’s not.  Chit Chat magazine only exists in the fictitious world of Coronation Street, and the name actually refers to the chat in the bingo rooms (which is also a whole lot better after the move as instead of only having chat in an exclusive bingo room one evening a week, there’s chat all the time).

Chit Chat Bingo has plenty enough bingo rooms to keep any bingo aficionado happy.

Many of the bingo games have special features such as 1TG or Roll On, and once you’ve worked out how to use the filters in the Prebuy tab you can buy tickets for any game that’s due to take place in the next 30 days.

A selection of popular slot games from Playtech and Eyecon can be played as minigames inside the bingo rooms or as full sized games from the Games tab without having to leave the bingo lobby.

Slots and Games At Chit Chat Bingo

One effect of the latest platform move has been to HUGELY increase the size of the slot game library from a few hundred to more than 4000.  Progress Play work with more than 50 different slot game providers so there really is something here for everyone.  It’s a massive improvement over the restricted and frankly dismal slot game selection at Grace Media and indeed at Dragonfish and they are also much better at adding new releases in a timely manner.

There’s enough categorisation in the lobby to be of some help with finding games without being too cluttered.  Most players will spot something that appeals amongst the new releases and popular titles in the New and Featured tabs. The tab called Vegas contains more than 200 games by Playtech.  Ther’s no Jackpot tab in the lobby, but they have a couple of hundred jackpot slots by Playtech, Eyecon, Red Tiger and others.

You can also browse through all of the games in the Slots tab, but they are not any particular order and there are thousands of them so you could be scrolling for quite a while!

The Providers tab lets you view all of the games split up by provider, but it’s a list not a filter so you have to scroll to see the provider you want.

Another way to find games is by using the search box, and as the results include game providers as well as game names this is often a better way to find other games by a provider whose games you’ve previously enjoyed.  Annoyingly though, the little heart icon for saving games you like to your favourites is only present on the game tiles in the lobby, not in the search results.

Other Things To Consider

Chit Chat Bingo now has by far the best choice of deposit methods it’s ever had, and almost all of them can be used to claim promotions including the welcome offer.  Although there is a fee for withdrawals, it’s not onerous and is never more than £3.

Support looks good as well; it’s done via live chat (with a chatbot to do the initial triage).  The chat bubble is easy to find and works whether you are logged in on not.

The brand owners are well known for their bingo and slots promotions on their other Progress Play brands and Chit Chat Bingo continues that tradition with plenty of deposit offer codes for both slots and bingo; typically these can be used several times not just once.  Other promotions include slots torunaments.

Final Thoughts

The welcome offer at Chit Chat Bingo puts the emphasis more on slots than on bingo, but with all of those Playtech bingo rooms and chat, it’s clearly also to be taken seriously as a bingo site and not just for players who mostly enjoy slots with perhaps a bit of bingo on the side.  With a choice of bingo rooms and slot games that’s by far the best in its more than 10 year history plus some fantastic new promotions, this venerable bingo site has reinvented itself in style.
