What's On In January 2023

January is often a rather quiet time for bingo promotions, but a few operators (and platform providers) can always be relied upon to have at least something going on.

One of those reliables is Virtue Fusion and for January 2023 they have a slots prize draw and a bargain bingo promotion with escalator jackpots.

The slots prize draw is on Eyecon slot games only.  It is to take place on 30th January with £200,000 of cash prizes ranging in value from £10 to £5000 and players get one entry for each £10 of play on any of Eyecon’s progressive jackpot slot games (NOT the regular non jackpot versions).  Just as in the draw that was run in December, some of these slots are designated as double ticket games meaning that you will collect two tickets not one when you play £10 on them – but ONLY during the final week of the promotion, 23rd – 29th January.  They are: Fluffy Favourites Mix’n’Win JP, Hot Off The Press JP, Fruity Burst 2 JP and Fluffy Favourites Remastered JP.

The bargain bingo promotion is in the speed 90 ball room, every evening in January from 5pm until midnight.  Tickets are priced at 2p – 5p.  It’s not just a bargain bingo promotion either – from 16th – 31st January there’s also an escalator jackpot.  Starting at 6pm, the number of calls within which bingo must be won for the jackpot to drop goes up by 2 every hour.  If the £10,000 jackpot hasn’t dropped earlier in the evening it’s guaranteed to drop in the 23:52 game.

Virtue Fusion sites also run exclusives and most notable in January is the 2.3 Million Ticket Giveaway at Paddy Power Bingo. The free bingo tickets (which can be used in most bingo rooms in games with ticket prices up to 10p and must be used within 48 hours) are being given out in 4 prize draws (in lots of 5 – 1000 tickets) and to enter, you just need to opt in and spend £2 in any bingo room before the draw deadline (2nd, 5th, 9th and 12th January).

Ever since Gala Bingo moved to their proprietary bingo software, Entain have been coming up with bingo promotions that are very similar to Virtue Fusion’s.  For January 2023, they have a BOGOF (or rather a B5G2F) promotion in one of their 90 ball rooms (it’s called Metropolis at Gala Bingo, Forever Foxy at Foxy Bingo and various other names at their other sites).  The promotion runs at oddly specific times (18:06 – 20:51) on weekday evenings (Mon – Thurs) in January and tickets are priced at 10p or 20p.

Ticket sales are now open for Entain’s £100K Bingo Game which plays on the second of every month. Tickets are priced at 10p each and if you buy 5 you get one free; the maximum ticket purchase is 120 tickets (100 paid plus 20 free). As well as the usual prizes there’s 5 Roll Ons plus a £10K share for 1TG.

Also at Entain, Gala Bingo’s All The 7s Bingo continues; opt in any day Sunday to Wednesday and spend £7 in any bingo room to collect a share of 17,777 free bingo tickets by 6pm the following day.  Entain also continue to run free slot tournaments with free spins to be won at all of their sites and at Foxy Bingo, there’s Slot Masters tournaments as well.

Another old reliable is Tombola.  Ticket sales are now open for Britain’s Biggest Bingo on 1st February; you can max out for this £100K+ game for £2.  Both their free daily games are back (Free Form on tombola bingo and Free Vibes on tombola arcade) with a total of £50,000 to be won each week.  And there’s a number of other big money games during January, starting with Multi Links in bingo90 on 6th and 7th January, where there will be £10,000 guaranteed full house prizes in the games at 9pm, 9.30pm and 10pm.

Heart Bingo have a new promotion that’s not just for January, it’s for the whole of 2023! The 2023 Giveaway is a prize draw with one prize of £2023 cash every month.  Players get one entry just for opting in, and one additional entry for each £5 played on Heart Bonanza Bingo or the exclusive Make Me A Millionaire slot game before the draw deadline (11.59pm on 30th January with the draw taking place the next day).  There can be only one winner, but everyone else will get a spin of the 2023 Wheel which has prizes of free bingo tickets, free spins or up to £500 cash.

At Unibet and bingo.com the daily bingo and minigame missions continue but instead of scratchcards, players collect raffle tickets to the Year of the Rabbit Daily Raffle which takes place every day until the end of January with 250 prizes of cash or (mostly) bingo vouchers.  You can collect up to 4 tickets per day by completing the first (easy) daily mission and/or playing £25 on bingo per ticket.  There’s also a weekly raffle with 50 prizes up to £500 and a final raffle with 25 prizes up to £10,000 – you can collect tickets for these by completing the harder missions and/or by playing £50 or £250 respectively on bingo or minigames.  It’s easy to see where you are with this qualification process as each requirement has its own meter in the lobby, and there’s also a display showing what raffle tickets you’ve collected, when the draws take place and whether you’ve recently won anything in a draw.  Also for the Year of the Rabbit, there’s a daily 5 line game with a prize pool of £1000 (and tickets priced at £2).
