What's Happening At Heart Bingo?

Heart Bingo is one of the oldest and well established names on the UK bingo scene. On 23rd September 2021, it underwent a radical change.
Heart’s long running relationship with their previous operator came to an end when Global Media & Entertainment (the company behind Heart Radio) decided not to renew that contract and instead enter into a new agreement for well known bookie BetVictor to run Heart Bingo for them, using bingo software from Pragmatic Play.
This hasn’t happened in the same way as most bingo platform changes (for example Gala Bingo’s move from Virtue Fusion to Entain) as the player base hasn’t automatically transferred to the new platform. If you previously had an account at the old Heart Bingo and want to play at the new Heart Bingo, you’ll need to sign up separately at the new site (where you’ll be able to claim the welcome offer all over again). It’s even more complicated than that though!
The new Heart Bingo site was given a soft launch earlier this year under the name hbingo and that’s how come it already had a player base in its exclusive rooms from day 1. Apart from the non network Newbie Room, hbingo launched with just the Pragmatic Play network bingo rooms and without any chat. Players who had already opened an account at hbingo could simply sign into Heart Bingo on the morning of 23rd September with their hbingo credentials and start playing right away – and those that did, found that several exclusive bingo rooms had been added and hosted chat enabled, complete with chat games with free bingo tickets to be won.

Several other features have also been added to the new Heart Bingo to help players coming across from the old Heart Bingo feel at home:
- The Heart Bonanza daily free game works just the same as before – choose 6 squares from the grid every day and collect sets over a week to win cash, free spins or free bingo tickets. Unlike the previous free daily games, Heart Bonanza is not open to everyone – you need to have made at least 2 deposits and at least 1 of them must be in the last 30 days.
- Heart Bingo boasts several exclusive slot games including Bubble Wild, which is very obviously inspired by the classic slot Double Bubble, as well as Heart Bonanza which is based on the Sweet Bonanza slot and a Heart themed Slingo game.
- One very important thing that the new Heart Bingo has in common with the old is the lack of wagering requirements; free spins really are free spins with all winnings paid in cash and the new welcome offer, like the old one, consists of free bingo tickets with winnings paid in cash.
The new Heart Bingo is far and away the most ambitious use of the Pragmatic Play bingo software we’ve yet seen and it will be interesting to see what player numbers are like after it all settles down (currently they look good).
Players from the old Heart Bingo who don’t like change (and there’s always a few of those!) do have an alternative; anyone who had an account at the old version of Heart can use that login at Double Bubble Bingo and carry on very much as before, instead of (or as well as) opening an account at the new Heart Bingo and claiming the welcome offer there!
