Welcome Offer Changes at 15 Network
Late last week it became apparent that all of the bingo sites on the Jumpman powered 15 Network (around 30 of them) were in the process of changing their welcome offer en masse. Previously these sites offered a £20 bingo bonus on a first deposit of £10, but the new offer is basically a slots offer – not even free bingo tickets are included, let alone any bingo bonus. Instead of a bonus, players get to spin the Mega Wheel when they make a first deposit of £10 or more.
Spin the wheel promotions are not a new thing in the world of online bingo. The old offer at 15 Network had one, with varying amounts of bingo bonus to be won and the other Jumpman network Wheel of Slots has one in lieu of a welcome bonus. The Mega Wheel, however, has one very important difference as compared to other spin the wheel promotions.
When you spin the Mega Wheel there is NO guarantee of winning anything at all. One segment of the wheel is is labelled Unlucky – land on it and you get nothing to add to your £10 deposit. Most of the other segments award varying amounts of free spins (the top prize is 500 free spins on Fluffy Favourites) but one is labelled Spin Again and another awards a tangible prize of a £10 Amazon voucher.
The introduction of the Mega Wheel to replace the bingo bonus offer is not the only change that has been made. For some time, Jumpman sites have had a max convertible rule, which works like this:
- When you are playing with a bonus, all winnings go to the bonus bankroll until the wagering requirement is complete and at this point there is no restriction on how much you can win.
- Once the wagering requirement is complete, winnings are moved to the real money bankroll and here is where the max convertible rule takes effect – it limits what can be converted to real money.
- The rest stays as bonus and when the real money is withdrawn, it disappears.
The max convertible at 15 Network used to be £500 but it has now been reduced to £250.
