Pariplay Helps Save the Rhino

Sue Dawson

Rating: 4.8/5

Pariplay’s new slot Rumble Rhino, which was launched earlier this month and is available to play at Dragonfish bingo sites, is a first in the gambling industry.  The slot itself, although entertaining, is nothing particularly new; what is ground-breaking is Pariplay’s partnership with a rhino conservation charity.

Save The Rhino International is a UK registered charity that is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.  It raises funds to help protect all five species of rhinoceros, with an emphasis on the three species that are critically endangered – Black, Sumatran and Javan rhinos.

Pariplay are donating 10% of profits from the game to the charity, with a guaranteed minimum donation of £10,000.  The game is also being used to raise awareness of the plight of the rhino; the intro is a short film about rhinos and Save The Rhino branding is prominent within the game.

One might expect some of the charitable donation to be funded by the slot having a larger than normal house edge, but in fact Rumble Rhino has a Return To Player of 95.52% which is better than some of Pariplay’s other slots.

So what’s the game itself like?  It’s themed on rhinos and the African savannah of course, and has many special features:

  • 100 paylines
  • Mega symbols which are 4×4 in size
  • The Mystery Mask symbol which changes into a different symbol
  • 6 different versions of the bonus round (including one with a massive 50 free spins)

With all that entertainment value, Rumble Rhino would probably have been popular regardless, but the charity donation will no doubt make it even more so.

  1. Saving the Rhino is a noble cause and one that should be taken a lot more seriously should we want the generations following us to be able to view these magnificent animals. My country South Africa has led the way in protecting them and continues to do so. So this is an excellent gesture by Pariplay and the associated rooms hosting the game. Conservation is an expensive business, but it is essential.
