End2End Bingo A Step Closer?
-
Updated: 16th Aug 2022
In autumn 2021 it was reported that the Argentinian technology company End2End had obtained a UK licence for their multiplayer bingo product. It’s yet to make an appearance at any UK site and there’s no specific news on when that might happen.
Behind the scenes, however, quite a lot has been going on.
End2End and Aspire Global
In December 2021, Aspire Global signed a cash deal to acquire 25% of End2End’s shares, with a further option to acquire the rest in 3 or 5 years’ time. The Aspire casino platform is already well known in the UK and worldwide, powering popular brands including Mr Play, Winner’s Magic and Luckster. The purpose of the acquisition was clear – the addition of bingo to Aspire’s B2B product via the Pariplay aggregation platform (which they also own). This will be Aspire’s second bite at the bingo cherry – originally they were looking at adding the Microgaming bingo product to their casinos (and even got as far as trialling it at a non UK site) but that came to nothing when Microgaming pulled the plug on bingo in 2020.
Aspire and End2End exhibited on adjacent stands at the ICE London iGaming trade show in April 2022 but at the time were unable to confirm any details about when the End2End bingo product might be launched in the UK.
Further product development
The End2End bingo product is already more sophisticated than most as it is omnichannel, meaning that an operator can run the same bingo game both online and offline, with tickets able to be purchased in advance on the website, in the bingo and at other offline locations (in much the same way as you can buy a lotto ticket at a convenience store). In a recent interview, Alejandro Revich, CEO of End2End, describes it as “a technology that can scale without limits, in terms of simultaneous users….achieving greater volume and offering more important prizes”.
The software continues to be developed and in Summer 2022 a number of new features were added, including ones enabling operators to offer a discount on bulk ticket purchases and give out free bingo tickets.
End2End and Salsa Technology
In July 2022 End2End bingo went live with a large group of sites – but not in the UK. Salsa Technology is a casino platform provider that started life as a Video Bingo game developer. The Salsa Gator platform is currently available in a number of Latin American countries and they have plans to expand further, with Europe as a target market (they already have a Malta licence). That wouldn’t cover the UK, of course, but it is still a big step in the right direction.
At the start of August 2022 there came the news that the bingo product had passed certification for three more European jurisdictions – Portugal, Denmark and the Netherlands.
What next for End2End bingo?
The End2End bingo product is clearly going places and even though those places don’t include the UK as yet, it surely must be on the horizon. Maybe next year?
UPDATE: Delasport, who recently acquired a B2B licence for the UK, have signed a deal with End2End to integrate their bingo product. So we could soon see a wave of white label launches on the new Delasport platform with casino, sportsbook and End2End bingo!
