Broadway Gaming - Goodbye Microgaming, Hello Pragmatic Play

The rather splendid Pragmatic Play bingo product has been taking over huge chunks of the online bingo world over the last 18 months.  First there were the Nektan casino sites, then Jumpman retired their bingo product and brought Pragmatic Play in instead at 150+ white label sites.  Pragmatic Play bingo is a bit like the Borg, going round assimilating everything – and they’re not done yet!  Jumpman wasn’t the only bingo product to be retired in 2020 – an even more established bingo software also bowed out and that was Microgaming.

Some Microgaming sites – 32red for instance – simply got rid of the bingo, but one well known and well established group of sites decided to go with Pragmatic Play instead, and that is Broadway Gaming.

Broadway have 5 bingo sites and perhaps their biggest claim to fame is that one of them, Butlers Bingo, was responsible for the biggest win EVER at a UK bingo site – a staggering £5.8 MILLION.  The win, which took place back in 2012, wasn’t on a bingo game but was on the Dark Knight slot game (not the currently available Playtech title, but the original Microgaming version which was part of the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot).  Mega Moolah is still a feature of all the Broadway sites today comprising five different slot games, three of which (Mega Moolah Atlantean Treasures, Mega Moolah Absolootly Mad and Mega Moolah Fortunium Gold) are new releases from 2020.

After a soft launch a couple of months ago, the new bingo product is looking great! It’s been done a bit differently to other Pragmatic Play bingo sites and the bingo lobby is much more integrated with the rest of the site.  The hundreds of Microgaming slots can be accessed from the lobby and so can the promotions page and once inside a bingo room, there’s also a selection of slot games and mini games that can be launched without even having to go back to the lobby, let alone the main site  Again, these are all by Microgaming.

Another thing Broadway are well known for is player promotions (in the past there have been cars and holidays to be won) and unlike most of the Pragmatic Play network, they have a bingo room (complete with chat games), which is exclusive to their sites.  It’s called the Broadway Room, just like the exclusive Microgaming bingo room they previously had, and it’s where they’ll run promotions including Jackpot Got2Go, a £1000 must-drop jackpot that runs from 9pm every Thursday.  This gives their bingo sites much more of a sense of community than most of the other sites that are powered by Pragmatic Play, adding that something extra to what is already an excellent bingo platform.  it’s great to see these long established bingo sites getting a new lease of life.
