Theme/Visuals

This scatter pays/grid slot game is inspired by the mystical lost city of Atlantis. Fittingly, it’s set underwater with Poseidon himself standing next to the reels which are flanked by a set of columns. The symbols include jugs, tridents crowns and multi-coloured gems.

In the background, a workmanlike soundtrack plays out. So in terms of presentation, there’s not a great deal wrong with ROA. It’s look smooth and well-polished.

How to Play Rise of Atlantis

To win, you’ll need to land eight or more matching symbols. Each win is followed by a cascade. Here, all the winning symbols drop from the reels and new ones fall into their vacated position. As a result, you’ll get another chance to win on the same spin.

The gem stones make up the low to medium value symbols – the purple gem is the most valuable and pays up to 8x your stake if 12 or more land as part of a winning combination.
A jug, trident and crown make up the high value symbols as does Poseidon who will pay out 50x your stake. He can also appear stacked, affording you the chance of generating some big wins.

However, in keeping with a lot of grid-based slots, ROA doesn’t include a wild symbol of any kind.

Rising Multipliers

During the base game, rising multipliers can activate during any spin. Once activated, you’ll see a bubble float onto a random reel position carrying a multiplier of up to 100x your stake. The bubble will then remain in place until a cascade win has completed. It will then apply its multiplier to the overall win.

But that’s not all. The bubble multiplier will then move up a position to the next reel position and again apply its multiplier to a cascading win. Needless to say, you’ll want the bubble multiplier to start at the bottom row to potentially enjoy the full benefit.

Free Spins Round

The free spins round is activated when you land four or more scatters during the base game. Four scatters will award 12 free spins, five scatters awards 15 and six scatters offers 20 free spins. The only real difference between the free spins and base game is that the rising multipliers can pay up to 500x your stake as opposed to 100. It’s also possible to win more free spins by unveiling at least three scatters during the free spins round.
