Casper Games is a Jumpman Gaming bingo and slots site with a spooky theme. The welcome offer is a slight departure from normal – the Ghostly Chest instead of the Mega Reel – but the top prize remains the same at 500 slot spins.
Casper Games is owned and operated by Jumpman Gaming, rather than being a white label site. As with all the Jumpman brands, it offers UK casino games through a UKGC licence, while it is licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission for overseas players. At the bottom of the home page is certification from GoDaddy to verify the site’s SSL encryption, and there’s also a link to the company’s safer gambling resource.
The site design and branding have some promise, and a dash of originality. The much-loved cartoon character who is the unofficially theme is well-established, and there’s some nice touches in the presentation, including ghosts floating against a graveyard backdrop.
Still, this is a fairly specific and narrow theme that is unlikely to resonate with players outside of the Halloween period. As with a lot of Jumpman sites, it is also a bit half-hearted, and very little attempt has been made to follow the theme through across the various site sections.
There are a couple of paths for new players wanting to sign up to the site. Click on the Join Now button and you can complete the usual three-page form to register, but there is also the option to sign up with PayPal. This is a faster registration process, although if you sign up this way, you will have to make a deposit on the spot to confirm your account.
Navigating the site is not that user friendly. The categories along the top of the home page are basic, covering Slots, Casino, Jackpot and Bingo. Click on the Slots option and you’re presented with some themed sections for fishing games, mystical games and so on, but these are strictly limited, and there is no option to search by provider, RTP, game style or mechanics.
As with a lot of Jumpman sites, the bingo section at Casper Games is now on the Pragmatic Play network, which has produced a significant improvement in prize money and liquidity but has also lost the community feel that used to be part of the Jumpman bingo offering.
Clicking on the bingo link at the top of the home page takes you to a collection of Pragmatic bingo rooms, usually in the range of ten or so, including 30, 75, 80 and 90-ball variants and the Pragmatic specials Diamond Dazzle and Animingo. You’ll find some big jackpots in some of the rooms, such as the Heavyweight and Jackpot rooms, and at the other end of the scale, the 80 ball Boombox and 30 ball Zoom Room provide some low stakes games.
All of the rooms offer mini games, and although the selection is limited to eight, it includes big name titles such as Wolf Gold and Sweet Bonanza. The downside here is that there is no chat option, which has been disabled across all of the Pragmatic Play bingo platforms. That’s a big negative for bingo fans, as is the absence of any bingo-related bonuses or free tickets.
If you’ve played at any of the other Jumpman sites, you won’t find too many surprises here. The slots collection features over 2,500 games, covering most of the popular franchises and slot titles including Starburst, Eye of Horus and Big Bass Bonanza, from big name providers like Microgaming, Red Tiger and Play N Go.
The jackpot section includes more than 60 games, although it doesn’t feature any of the big progressive titles (so no Mega Moolah or Mega Fortune) and Fluffy Favourites is about the best-known game in this section. The vast majority of the games in the jackpot section are by Eyecon and there’s a lack of depth here that could be improved on by adding a few more providers.
If you’re into casino gaming, you’ll find 50 or so roulette, blackjack, baccarat and other table games, and there’s a good live casino section that boasts around 80 titles, although roulette dominates heavily here, so if that’s not your thing, you may feel a little short-changed. Although there are no live casino game shows in the lobby section, at the time of writing you can still find a few of these if you search by name.
For a break from the slots and traditional games, you can check out the scratchcards and slingo titles, along with a handful of crash games, although you will have to search for them as the site design does not make them easy to access. We would also like to see more information available on the game panels as it is currently not possible to identify the RTP, volatility, developer or current jackpot size with any slot game without first loading up the game.
As we mentioned at the top of the review, the main Casper Games promotion offer is the Ghostly Chest rather than the usual Jumpman Mega Wheel, but there’s little significant difference between the two. It’s also worth noting that although it is possible to win up to 500 spins on Starburst, the RTP on this game has been set at a lower level than at other sites.
Jumpman usually provides a good selection of additional bonuses and the Promotions page at Casper Games shows half a dozen of these, including the Rewards Reel, Turbo Reel, Fluffy Fridays and the familiar 200 Club. The latter is linked to the acquisition of trophies, which is the standard Jumpman gamification currency, accessible through the Trophies link on the home page.
Mobile players can access the site through their mobile browser, rather than a dedicated mobile app, but we found no problems with loading times or site navigation on either an Android tablet or an iOs smartphone, and the no-frills design means that there is minimal clutter on small screens, making life easier for mobile players.
Accessing customer support is more convoluted than we would like. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click on the Help option, to open up the FAQ section and the Support button. Clicking on this brings up a standard web message form, but there appears to be no real live chat facility or email contact, despite these being referenced on the FAQ pages.
Essentially, Casper Games is a pretty standard Jumpman site. The game selection is good, although not outstanding, the gamification elements work well, but the welcome offer is underwhelming, especially given the wagering requirement of x65, which is extraordinarily high.
There’s also the familiar Jumpman failure to commit to the site theme, which is a shame, as the friendly ghost imagery could potentially have been incorporated throughout. Finally, there’s the familiar nod towards bingo fans with the small Pragmatic Play bingo platform.
Casper Games is far from a bad site, but as with all Jumpman brands, it feels like the customer experience is not as high a priority as it should be, as evidenced by the withdrawal fee and slow payouts, as well as the extremely limited customer support service. Overall, despite the relatively unusual theme, Casper Games fails to stand out from the competition and may not live long in the memory for those who check it out.
65 x bonus on slots excluding progressive jackpots. Cash play not counted.
Jumpman’s Responsible Gaming policy is short and does the bare minimum to comply with the licence terms. They have the usual safer gambling tools with no frills.
PayPal did not show amount, even though I chose £10 deposit. £20 taken. Not the greatest site with very limited games choice. Avoid is my advice
