The original Bucky Bingo brand dates back to 2008 and was the fruit of over 30 years of bingo experience in the UK with the land based Buckingham bingo halls. Originally a Virtue Fusion site, it was subsequently sold to the Gibraltar arm of Betfred (who already knew a thing or two about how to run a bingo site and look after players) and was well known for its player promotions and for its mascot, a cute cartoon horse that later morphed into a pink haired disco unicorn.

Bucky Bingo looks rather different today.  Not only has the signature mascot vanished, the ownership of the site has changed yet again and since 2020 it’s been on different bingo software, Dragonfish. The move must have gone OK, because they won a player voted award for Best Dragonfish Bingo Site the following year.  After keeping a low profile for the last few years while the Dragonfish platform underwent network consolidation, Bucky is very much back on the scene for 2025.

Getting Started At Bucky Bingo

If you’ve played at Dragonfish sites before you will be pleasantly surprised by the new Dragonfish registration form, which is even easier to complete than the previous version.  For example, there is both postcode and address lookup so you can either put in your postcode or start typing your address then select from the dropdown.

Dragonfish have also removed the annoying requirement to select your occupation from a dropdown list (and agonise over what to choose if yours wasn’t listed).  This information was used along with your address to assess affordability, but now Dragonfish carry out the same background checks as all other UK regulated operators so it’s no longer needed. If you have an established credit profile your account will likely be verified straight away but if not, you may have to send in documents via their verification portal.

You do need to give them a mobile phone number but it’s not used in the registration process – instead, you’ll receive a welcome email.  You also need to choose which marketing channels to opt into. You can choose to hear about bingo, casino or both via email, SMS and/or post and there’s a handy button to opt into everything at once if you want to.

Once registered and verified, you’ll see a screen inviting you to make a deposit and claim the welcome offer right away.  You don’t have to do this; you can skip to the lobby instead if you’d like to have a look around, but you won’t be able to enter most of the bingo rooms until you’ve deposited. Also be aware that to claim the welcome offer later, you will need to go to the Offers area in the lobby and use the deposit button there (rather than using the deposit button in the main lobby).

Bingo Rooms At Bucky Bingo

Bucky Bingo has the usual Dragonfish lineup of bingo rooms, with almost all bingo tickets priced at 5p. At the time of writing in May 2025 the rooms on offer are:

• Easy Peasy – 75-25 (5 line) bingo
• Bounce’T – 75-24 bingo with a prize that varies depending on the number of calls to bingo
• Top Of The Shop – the main 90 ball room
• Flip It – a 90 ball room with the prizes reversed, open afternoons & evenings only
• Bingo Deal – playing card bingo
• Mystery Jackpots – 75-24 with a prize that’s revealed just before the game starts and after ticket sales close
• On The House – a few free bingo games every day with a prize of £2, open to all registered players
• Any seasonal specials that Dragonfish are running. The May 2025 special was a one off 90 ball game with £2000 in prizes and a ticket price of 25p.

A selection of recent release slot and Slingo games are available as minigames inside the bingo rooms. There wasn’t any chat when I visited but it may be available at peak times (a common arrangement at Dragonfish sites in 2025). The bingo rooms were definitely on the quiet side but to be fair, it was a weekeday morning so probably the least busy time.  Of course, with fewer players you stand to win more often.

Slot Games At Bucky Bingo

Slots at Bucky Bingo are served up in an extremely minimalistic (and mobile friendly) lobby with very little in the way of game categorisation.  Jackpots have their own area, exclusively populated by Eyecon games with four different jackpot levels (you can tell which game has which jackpot as the numbers are shown in the lobby). New releases also have their own area with a dozen or so games, but not everything in there when I visited was a brand new release; for example, there was a Big Bass game that was more than 6 months old but had only just been added to the Dragonfish platform. An area called A-List has super popular games like Rainbow Riches, 9 Pots of Gold, Big Bass Bonanza and Fluffy Favourites and there’s also an area called Scorching Slots which contains Microgaming classics including Immortal Romance, Book of Atem and Thunderstruck II.  If you want to find anything else such as the 50+ Slingo games, you can either browse through the complete list of nearly 600 games (which isn’t in alphabetical order) or use the search box.

Most of these games can be played with bonus but some can’t – they are marked Real Money Only in the lobby.

In common with other Dragonfish sites, Bucky Bingo doesn’t offer any table games at all of any description; it’s strictly slots and a few instant win games.

Other Things To Consider

Bucky Bingo has the same Bingo Shop as many other Dragonfish sites; you can exchange loyalty coins you’ve collected through play for bonus, spins or free bingo tickets and coins collected at one site can be redeemed at another. So if you’ve collected coins elsewhere (888 Ladies for instance) you’ll find them waiting for you at Bucky Bingo.

Other promotions appear in the lobby under Offers and bingo and games vouchers can be claimed in the Rewards area; prior to first deposit the only promotion available is the welcome offer but once you’re a depositing player you can expect to find redeposit offers here as well as in My Zone.

The site has an attached blog but it’s clearly left over from when it was a Virtue Fusion site as most of the entries (slot game reviews, player guides etc) are several years old.
