Updated: 16th Aug 2024
The Chase Live is a new live casino game show by Playtech that is exclusive to Entain. You can try it at any Entain site, but Gala Bingo is where the big fanfare is taking place with the creation of The Chase Hub to showcase other The Chase games alongside the new game show. Until 22nd July 2024 Gala are also running a free to enter prize draw promotion for their players with money-can’t-buy prizes. One player will win a Chase studio tour for 2 including a meet & greet with a Chaser, and another will win a Chaser on their 4 person team for the exclusive Gala Bingo vs the Chase Ultimate Quiz event. Both prizes include travel and accommodation.
The Chase Live – How To Play
The Chase Live is based on Plinko, a classic game where a ball is dropped and bounces down a pegboard to land in one of the many pockets at the bottom. In The Chase Live, the 18 pockets award either multipliers or a chance to trigger one of the two bonus rounds via another ball drop.
To play a round of The Chase Live, you first decide which of the 8 possible outcomes to place chips on – you can choose just one outcome, all of them, or anything in between (and not necessarily the same amount on each choice). You have just 18 seconds in between rounds to place your chips but in subsequent rounds you’ll be able to use the Rebet button to repeat your previous placement.
The possible outcomes you can place chips on are:
- Multipliers: Red 3x, Blue 4x, Light Blue 6x, Green 8x, Orange 10x, Yellow 12x
- Bonus rounds: Head To Head, The Final Chase
The round starts with one of the ball entry points at the top of the Plinko board randomly lighting up. The dealer drops the ball into that entry point and as it travels down the board, you see a view from above. The pockets all light up and each one is randomly assigned one of the colours for a multiplier or moving arrows for a redrop (the positions and distribution are different every round). If the ball lands in a muliplier pocket and you have a chip on that multiplier, you’ll win that multiplier. If the ball lands in a pocket with moving arrows, a redrop takes place.
The redrop works in exactly the same way as the initial drop but this time the distribution of the outcomes that can appear on the pockets is fixed. There’s one pocket for each of the original colours with an increased multiplier of up to 30x, 7 pockets for Head To Head and 5 pockets for The Final Chase. Again, if the ball lands in a multiplier pocket you’ll win that multiplier, whereas if it lands in a bonus round pocket that bonus round is played. Both bonus rounds have a minimum payout of 5x.
- Head To Head – This bonus round is played with dice. There’s a blue die for the player and a red die for the Chaser and up to three rolls take place; each time, both player and Chaser move the number of spaces according to their dice roll (1 space for a 1 or 2, 2 spaces for a 3 or 4, 3 spaces for a 5 or 6). If the Chaser catches or overtakes the player (who has a 2 step head start) the bonus round ends immediately and the player wins the consolation prize of 5x. If the player survives all three rolls or reaches the end of the track before all three rolls have taken place, their win is based on how far ahead of the Chaser they are.
- The Final Chase – This bonus round is played with a lottery ball machine; the 30 balls are numbered 0-4. The player picks three of six draw positions (or has them randomly allocated if not quick enough). Six balls are then drawn and the player (who does not get a head start this time) moves the corresponding number of spaces along the 10 space track. Three balls are then drawn for the Chaser and they move the corresponding number of places. If the player finishes ahead of the Chaser they win the multiplier for the space they reach. If the Chaser overtakes the player, the player wins the consolation prize of 5x. If player and Chaser end on the same space the player wins a prize of 10x.
The minimum chip value for The Chase Live is 20p and the maximum £100. All of the multiplier bets have a Return To Player of 95%, Head To Head has a Return To Player of 95.04% and The Final Chase has a Return To Player of 95.18%. The RTP for the game as a whole will therefore fall somewhere from 95% and 95.18% depending on the combination of chips you choose to place.
Other The Chase Games
Entain have several other exclusive The Chase games:
