Relax Gaming Dream Drop New Daily Jackpots

What Is Dream Drop?
Dream Drop by Relax Gaming is a progressive jackpot network that was launched relatively recently, in 2022. It’s unusual in that Relax have tweaked the jackpot mechanism in response to player feedback not once, but twice.
Dream Drop was originally a 5 level jackpot with Mega, Major, Maxi, Midi and Rapid jackpots. The Mega Jackpot was initially seeded at 500,000 euros and the gimmick was that the level by which it must drop would be raised by 500,000 euros with every second win, and continue to do so until it reached a staggering 10 million euros.
After realising that this would make jackpot wins simply too infrequent, Relax decided to freeze the must drop level at 3 million euros, thus ensuring that there would be more than three times as many winners of the Mega Jackpot as there would otherwise have ended up being. To date, there have been around 20 winners of this jackpot which is pretty good going in just 3 years.
Dream Drop games went on to become very popular indeed and there are now around 60 games attached to the jackpot. Most of them are Relax Gaming’s own titles such as Templar Tumble Dream Drop, Bill & Coin Dream Drop and Money Train Origins Dream Drop, but Relax also do collaborations with smaller studios such as 4The Player (4 Fantastic Fish Gold Dream Drop) and Four Leaf Gaming (Cosmic Rush Dream Drop). There’s even a couple of Dream Drop games (Dream Drop Vault and Money Mansion 2 Dream Drop) that are only available as minigames in the Relax Gaming bingo lobby.
Rather than being integrated with the game play or bonus round, Dream Drop jackpots are awarded via a bonus feature (not the same one in every game) which can be triggered in any spin and which plays before the actual spin takes place. This means that Dream Drop games can be very different from each other in number of reels, game mechanics and bonus features and so cater to all tastes.

The New Dream Drop Jackpots
The Dream Drop jackpot system was missing just one thing – must drop daily jackpots (and thanks to Red Tiger everyone knows just how popular those are).
Now, Relax have tweaked the jackpot mechanism again to add daily jackpots. Not content with adding one daily jackpot, they’ve added three – or rather, one jackpot, initially seeded at 700 euros, that drops three times a day:
- Once between 22:00 and 06:00 UTC
- Once between 06:00 and 14:00 UTC
- Once between 14:00 and 22:00 UTC
When I played at around 10:30 UTC the jackpot, with more than three hours to go till the deadline, was approaching 1000 euros.
The other jackpots have also been adjusted. The main difference is that the must drop level of the Mega Jackpot has been brought down to 2 million euros. As it’s seeded at 1.5 million euros, this is bound to result in significantly more winners as it won’t take long for it to grow that far; they expect to make a millionaire every 1.5 months on average.
Let’s not forget the Major Jackpot. Seeded at 37,000 euros and guaranteed to drop before 50,000 euros, it’s been won hundreds of times. As for the three smaller jackpots, they have been won tens of thousands of time in the case of the Maxi (seeded at 100 euros), hundreds of thousands of times in the case of the Midi (seeded at 50 euros) and millions of times in the case of the Rapid (seeded at 1 euro).
There’s just one thing you need to be aware of when playing Dream Drop games; due to the number and size of the jackpots the jackpot contribution is a substantial 12% of every stake, pushing the RTP of the base game down. As the three small jackpots and the daily jackpots pay out so often, this doesn’t skew things as badly as it does with other progressives such as Mega Moolah.
