Relax Gaming Bingo Gets An Update

Relax Gaming Bingo – What Is It?
Relax Gaming’s bingo product has been around since 2015 but is not well known amongst UK players as it powers just two UK facing sites, Unibet Bingo and bingo.com. Thanks to participation from players in the Nordic countries where it is much more popular, it has plenty of liquidity which means decent prize money.
Now, this often overlooked bingo software has had a major design upgrade which has added substantially to both its usability on a mobile phone and its enertainment value.
Relax Gaming Bingo Update – What’s New
What’s been done to improve the mobile usability is immediately obvious – the numbers and tickets are larger and much easier to read. The chat is still in a transparent pop-up window so you can follow it and the game at the same time, but you can now choose between two sizes of chat window (or none). And just to make it a bit more fun, you can choose an avatar to represent you in every bingo room (a feature that was already available in Relax Gaming’s exclusive Hexabingo game).
The other change is a bit more subtle.
Relax Gaming bingo has always has some special features that make it a bit different to other bingo platforms. One is the prominence of 75 ball bingo; they do have a couple of 90 ball rooms but 75 ball is very much the flagship product. Another is the information that’s visible during a game about which other players are close to winning and what numbers they need. This used to be a list of 1TG (and sometimes 2TG) player names together with the balls they needed, in rather small print.
It’s the way in which this information is presented that has changed. It’s much larger and easier to read now.
That’s not all that has changed – the ball speed has been adjusted too (which explains why the feature has been removed from both of the speed bingo rooms). On any call where there are players with 1TG, the ball comes out more slowly and this really adds to the excitement (just like it does in a slot game where the reels spin more slowly when you need one more symbol to trigger the bonus round).
First the colour is revealed, then the two digits of the number one at a time.
After each reveal, only the numbers that might still match continue to be shown. In the screenshot, all the players with a dot next to them were on 1TG. But as soon as the purple ball came out (for a number in the O column) the other colour balls stopped being shown. And now the 6 is coming out, if anyone needed a purple number beginning in 7 that is also no longer shown. This makes it much easier to keep track of who’s close to winning.
To make it even more exciting, whenever there’s a possibility that a 1TG player could win the room jackpot on the current call (which happens relatively often in Relax Gaming bingo rooms) the ball crackles with lightning.
Relax Gaming Bingo Update – Associated Promotions
Both Unibet and bingo.com are marking the release of the new bingo software with a promotion called Bingo Bingo Bingo November, although the updated software didn’t actually come out until quite late in the month. This promotion is made up of several different elements, some of which are semi permanent.
- Daily bingo challenges – in this promotion, players are given two or sometimes three missions to complete, with increasing levels of difficulty. They can be bingo based or minigame based and often but not always take the form “play x games of y type of bingo that are won on an even number” or “have x winning rounds in y slot”. In Bingo Bingo Bingo November (which ends on 26/11/2023) the rewards are scratchcards and you can also collect a scratchcard every day just for logging in, and further scratchcards by playing £10 or £25 on bingo in a day. Possible prizes from the scratchcards are cash, bingo vouchers, Hexabingo tickets or minigame spins. These missions have been a thing at Relax bingo sites for a long time now and we expect them to continue after the promotion ends, but with minor tweaks, fresh theming and possibly different rewards (in the past, it’s sometimes been scratchcards and sometimes raffle tickets.
- Tournaments – Relax Gaming bingo sites run both bingo tournaments and minigame tournaments. The timetable varies from promotion to promotion and during Bingo Bingo Bingo November it’s quite bingo heavy.
- In a bingo tournament, you score points by winning line and coverall prizes in 75 ball bingo.
- In a minigame tournament, your score is based on your win relative to stake over a set number of consecutive spins – usually 20 but sometimes just one (the “lucky spin” format).
- Diamond Dailies – this 75 ball bingo room runs 4 games every evening with a prize pool of £500 and tickets priced at £2 for a strip of 3. It’s rethemed every time Relax come up with a new theme for the daily bingo missions and is currently called Diamond Dailies; we expect to see it change to something with a Christmas theme after the current promotion ends.
With all of this to entertain players, now is a great time to check out this hidden gem of a bingo platform.
